OMG! What a Car! Absolutely fast!!! Watch at 3.23: up to 270 Km/h, up to 7000 RPM, but engine seem to be not much sollicited... And what a driver! No mistakes, he can eat everyone on track in SPA! Another italian hystoric race car very well driven!!!
Primo Lori, while you might be right that the car is wickedly fast just going by the anount of input needed to get around a corner quickly it doesn't look like the easiest car to drive quickly.
I test drove a new Pantera in the Fall of 1972. They were sold/ordered through Lincoln-Mercury dealerships. I pulled out of the lot and got right up onto the interstate ramp. As I shifted into 2nd I merged into traffic and was already doing 65 MPH. The 351 Cleveland V8 was simply superb and torquey as hell. They weren't giving me what I thought my trade-in was worth so I walked. It was Black Cherry Metallic. Damn.............
I was with my dad in 1971 and "we" test drove a green Roadrunner with a 440 in it. I was 5 years old at the time and I still remember how amazing it was. I don't know why he didn't buy it, but he still talks about it. The Superbird is one of the reasons why I have a car with a pretty ridiculous wing now.
Damn is right, they AVERAGE $120,000+ now on the early 70's models, I am bidding in auction later this month on one that needs a bit of work, I am hoping I get lucky. Question didn't Ford also sell Jaguars in their Lincoln-Mercury dealerships back then? I know they owned them for a while like they owned De Tomaso.
Boa tarde meu Amigo !!!!! Cara, que experiência inesquecível. Eu nunca tive a oportunidade de ver um De Tomaso Pantera de perto. Imagina Pilotar um. Deve ser a coisa mais incrível do Mundo. Obrigado por dividir com a gente essa experiência. Abraço do Brasil......
Willi Braun’s race preparation of De Tomaso Panteras is unmatched by anyone else, I think. And clearly Ralf is a great driver too! A great combination....
Boa tarde !!!!!! Abraço do Brasil.....
I love how he keeps it on the edge in the fast sweepers. With some better aero he would be many seconds faster. V8 torque on a world class circuit, it doesn’t get any better than that.
Hi there - yes we have a 60 min quail with 50 to 60 cars using this time .A set of new tires works its magic after one warm up lap and it looses its magic after 2 timed laps. then the performance drops half a second and the tire says stable for approx 5 laps before dropping further down with the grip..Finding a lap that is as free as possible reg traffic can be a headache : ) but worked well in this lap.
It looks like you are fighting with the steering wheel. You need to get that steering problem fix so you can go fast around the corners and not have to be down Shifting all the time.
One of the most underrated super car's ever and was affordable compared to it's Italian counterparts!
Yes, affordable bc it sucked in almost every way.
I could listen to that motor all day and all night. Beauty.
I hot replay 3 times ;)
Boa tarde.
Rsrsrsrs....... Eu também.
Abraço do Brasil.
Um monstro!
Boa tarde.
Concordo plenamente com Você.
Grande abraço.....

It is surpricingly easy to drive, well balanced, good turn-in and then just powersteer it through the curves
FoMoCo ... GT 2.0 - what a ride!
Absolutely Killer footage of a track attack Pantera ! These cars are simply amazing under a proper driver. Thank you for this
i love this car!!!!! thanks for the ride!!!

ahhh... the beauty and versatility of the 351 Cleveland...damn fine video.
good operator...complete confidence in his ability and the cars ability
The sound of a 351.😍
This guy brings back memories ... the beautiful GT40 raced by H.Kelleners and R.Jöst...
Letting past times apart, thanks for the upload.
Loverly! Love the pantera. Drove one of the first in late 1970. What a ride.
Damn, that car is fast!
That's the neat thing about the 351 Cleveland and Windsor engines. You can build them into some vicious racing engines.
Boa tarde !!!!!!

Beautiful. The only thing missing in this video is a shot of the car from the outside. Panteras looked as good as they sounded.
Damn that V8 Sound is pure music in my ears. Absolutely stunning. I wish I could join a taxi drive someday. De Tomaso a dream of a race car
Thank you for this great onboard qualification, what an experience!
Both Alejandro de Tomasso and Horacio Pagani are Argentine born and moved to Italy to build great cars.
Both of Italian decent, so they went back to their roots to build great cars.
Boa tarde.
Grandes Gênios da história do Automobilismo.
Parabéns mesmo.
Abraço do Brasil......
People so underestimate the Pantera until they fly past! Awesome!!
Sensationell, das macht viel Spass zu zusehen.
Weiter so!!!!! Pantera is the best.
I always loved this car. I recall that I used to ogle one in my mechanic’s shop whenever I brought my car in. In fact, it was there a lot.
Ha classic, I talked to a guy who owned a 73 and he said he'd been through either 9 transmissions or engines, or both lol
That Pantera seemed to be perfectly geared for that track. 🏁
Is that not the same transmission from the legendary GT-40? That won Le Mans 4 times in a row
Dean Firnatine Great question. I wish I had an answer for you.
this car is superb!
LOOKS LIKE FUN!!!!!!
Also the best car in GT Legends 🙂
Pure joy
Hallo habe sie schon in Spa mit ihrem De Tomaso Pantera fahren sehen 👌🤗🇧🇪🏁
The driver is certainly a "hot shoe", the Panther is on rails. Shifting the 335 series Ford at just 6500. Impressive!
Now this dude can DRIVE!
De Tomaso Pantera..., what else,... GREAT !!!
Glorious cars, no wonder they made the Pantera for over 20 years
Boa tarde.
Realmente fantástico.
Grande abraço.....
nice driving. smooth exits
I'm impressed
so awesome. Fast fast fast!
my left ear really enjoyed this video
hell yeah
Nice drive.
Pantera came to dominate
F****** awesome!!!!
That driver was a pilot😂. Awsome work!
A Pantera with a GT 350 Voodoo engine would be absolutely amazing
Like a shark through guppies. Nice lines.
Ford power!
its a rocket
They have to qualify with other cars in the way?

He´s hungry and eating some Porsches ;-))
Sounds like my straight piped 3v mustang
NO MORE AUDIO UNFORTUNATELY...
need for speed shift

Нервная тачка.
Damn he can drive..
