Wow - this is the first Nurburgring video that has got my pulse racing with a proper sense of speed - I'd love to see these two cars go at it with no other vehicles on the track - that would be amazing
Years later I still come back to watch this video. The Supra is always know as a thing of legend because I can do just about anything if setup for a purpose. When people say Supra's are only fast in a straight line im sure your video is used for reference. 30 year old thing of Legend it is.
This guy's braking and handling of the car is just unbelievable, he seem to be playing around with throttle and shifting at leisure just to play around with the SR3, not many driver+car can do that with a Radical @ Nurburgring
The radical is definitely a quicker car . You can see constantly pulling away and it can handle corners better . I think the Supra guy is better at driving around the track though .
I'm more of a Radical fan boy than a Supra fan boy, and I'm not saying which car is faster, but you can't argue that this driver had braking points pretty much dead on at every turn, at least for this lap, which is harder to do on a higher power heavier car, and he was definitely playing around with throttle and shifting at some parts to let the SR3 catch up, though of course at some sections he had to really chase down hard to keep up. Also, being a Radical doesn't automatically out run other cars, this one is only a SR3 after all. I can see that this Supra has full dash, roll cage, and no racing sequential, but what if he has gearing set up for this track, running on wide slicks, massive aeroes front and back, fully stripped elsewhere? 300hp 1500lbs car will probably beat a 600hp 3000lbs car, but probably not a 2500lbs car, or at least it will be a close race, especially with so many long straights like this track.
There is no doubt Radical will always beat stock or near stock Supra on Nurburgring, even with quite a bit of power increase, but if a racing team decide that they will take a JZA80 chassis and engine design to compete in LM GTE (though this is probably not a good idea and they will never win races), the car will easily beat SR3s and probably even stock SR8s. Sure, the end product would be something beyond recognizable as Supra, but it would still be technically a 'Supra' with chassis and engine resembling a Supra. My point is, that you can make any car go fast. 911 GT3 Cup is perfect example. Also, SR3 runs mid 7 on stock tires, SR8 runs high 6 on stock tires at Nurburgring, which is already being approached by stock cars on stock tires, ie GT2 RS, Performante, etc. Don't get me wrong, I would rather be driving a Radical any day, at any track, than any production based cars, but 'Radical = always faster than anything' is a dangerous statement. And by the way, Radical owners usually don't care about which car is faster, or if their car is faster or slower than something, most of the time they are talking about suspension settings and slick tire grades
Stock SR3 can beat this at Nurburgring? commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2003_Toyota_DENSO_SARD_Supra_(JGTC)_No.39_at_Sepang_Intl._Circuit,_Malaysia.jpg
Yea you are delusional and you continue living in your non-scientific fantasy world. My point is that you can completely gut a Supra, add ridiculous amount of power, which isn't difficult, put massive aeros, tweak suspension and gearing and put on slicks to beat an stock SR3, even a stock SR8 on Nurburgring. It would make no financial sense, but it is quite possible.
One of the best Nurb lap videos I've seen. Incredible sound from both machines. The long flutter on the SSQV's. Supra driver just knows he can eat the Radical alive on the straights and gets so excited when he does. Radical catches right back up after the straight as expected. Superb driving
No, this is an SR3, not an SR8. SR3s are still very quick track cars, but with the high speed nature of this track it's not the dominant car that it's big brother is.
@Jethro Hull Jethro Hull Hmmm 🤔, a purpose built racecar that barely weighs a 1000lbs, racecar aerodynamics, suspension and gearing vs what you call a "tuner car"... I say that's more than impressive bud... but to each their own
Car that's faster on the straights vs car that's faster in the corners, and the nordschleife has lots and lots of both so each car has its opportunity.
Might be late to the party here but i've watched this video a few times now and your car and driving is simply awesome. The way it flat out hauls AND corners well is something rarely seen. Awesome job.
Holy crap that Supra is very well sorted. The refined horsepower is impressive, but the cornering and handling are unbelievable. Oh, nevermind the driver actually knowing how to drive. 10/10
Who is this supra driver?? The supra driver is by all definition professional driver. His usage of Throttle, and breaking points and playing with the break and gas is something I rarely see. Hes very intune with that car. He even slows down by simply lifting off the throttle and sparing his breaks and body roll. He understands distance and bank angles.I was convinced the Raddicle was electrical powered. Bloody hell its quick.
mate you DEFINITELY don't have to be a professional to drive like him. Understanding things like bank angles is like grade 2/common sense stuff....and all you have to do is drive a course a couple times to figure out where the best brake points are and this obviously wasn't his first time driving it. He's definitely a good driver but the way you talk about it makes me think you're like 15 and only play racing video games.
not the best, just good driving skills in the circuit, weight balance, vison and throttle usage is the basics thing to run in the circuit the most basic thing you can start with, brakes are quite hard to use, that car can go faster and make a best time in that track 7 minutes and 46 secods is quite slow, im pretty sure it can make a better time closer to 7 minutes or less
TJ the turbo flutter or compressor surge is a result of pressure building up with no blow off valve aka pressure relief valve. The air pressure become so great that the air is forced back through the intake manifold. BOV make a loud hissing sound, not to be confused with the high whistling sound which is the turbo spooling. A BOV sounds like a soft drink bottle being opened. There is clearly no BOV in this supra, hence the obvious turbo flutter/compressor surge sound.
You guys are talking about of your asses. Yes loads of Supras run no blow off valve. Ths is not one. That is the sound of an HKS SSQV style blowoff. Other manufacturers make ones that sounds similar. Go type it into UA-cam. There is literally a whistle in the trumpet piece when he lifs off the throttle and it vents to atmosphere. That is why it sounds like that. Not the spooling part, or the surging part, the chirp itself.
Ra Ma I don't get it. So if you laugh when you are having fun it's childish? He didn't break any track rules, it was a clean fun race. How is having fun childish? 🤣

I've watched that one - this got me more worked up - that Radical wasn't a happy bunny lol
edwardquan Ikr, this video is next to insane, the speed, the handle and its a race!
Him flying through the turns had my hands almost shaking. So fucking fast
Radical would most likely win, then again i dont know what has been done to the supra
Years later I still come back to watch this video. The Supra is always know as a thing of legend because I can do just about anything if setup for a purpose. When people say Supra's are only fast in a straight line im sure your video is used for reference. 30 year old thing of Legend it is.
Nordschleife local here: this man can drive. This was fast but safe. Very nice to watch.
Thanks to Gran Turismo at least I know each corners of this circuit well.
Just finished the 24hrs in the Ring yesterday. It's amazing watching all these videos now. Great driving.
Forza for me
Gran Turismo, literally the best game ever made , EVER! imo
Same
Assetto Corsa for me. Better driving than me though for sure. 👍
Really nice man. Very professional!
Must of watched this half a dozen times, back again. Absolute joy to watch a big motor hustled like that, hat doffed you have good skills.
i can only dream of driving the Nurburgring track
its open to the public, go germany and you can either bring your car over (expensive) or book a car to drive or be driven by.
@@hassanmarzook3327 What does it cost if you bring your car?
6:56 NOOOOOOOOOOO, MONICAA!!!!!
Lol
Make your own goddamn popcorn
Jvdx best scene hands down
Lolololo
jajajajajaj!!!
It would make no financial sense, but it is quite possible.
geez after that spool that thing just LAUNCHES, the speed in this video feels way better than any 1000 HP drag supras.
Brilliant watching you pass that Radical, man. That was an excellent lap!
This guy has balls of steel to do that in a Supra. Great driving.
One of the best Nurb lap videos I've seen. Incredible sound from both machines. The long flutter on the SSQV's. Supra driver just knows he can eat the Radical alive on the straights and gets so excited when he does. Radical catches right back up after the straight as expected. Superb driving
I've watched this about 100 times never get bored. Proper car and driver.
Just watched it again, but on a large screen TV for the first time. Still the best Nürburgring duel I have ever watched by a country mile!
Best video I’ve seen 😂 definitely satisfying seeing the final straight 200mph+ and passing traffic in super sonic mode
You mean supra sonic mode :)
Who's still watching in 2019?
AndrewsDoc 2020 here buddy
Me 2020
I’m here 2020
That was excellent! Mutual respect from both drivers, kudos to both.
This is one of the best race i ever watched. Superb setup and that driving skills. Balls of steel!
That Radical sounds incredible 👌🏼👍🏼
wasnt it a v8?
No, this is an SR3, not an SR8. SR3s are still very quick track cars, but with the high speed nature of this track it's not the dominant car that it's big brother is.
so does a vr6 and still got no power.
Chris Chu lol true.
Sounds like an annoying mosquito.
Cheers, yes it was fun!!
1.5 bar?
1bar for some parts then i have a button on the steering wheel which takes me upto 1.5(switches maps).
Bignumtt u got sick car and driver skills mate , good luck on roads
Thank you.
Bignumtt Lord above mate, what a stunning drive, bloody hell, you never let of, I am speechless 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Awesome driving, perfect set up car, amazing traction, smooth power delivery 💪
🇭🇺 I keep coming back to this video because this race and what this Supra produces is phenomenal. I love the sounds in the video!
Great driving, smooth and FAST, that motor must be solid to cope with long periods of full throttle boost !
2JZ can handle 1000+ HP very well, beast of an engine.
@don cherry Because Cast Iron 3l block. Bmw's M50 does the same with better efficiency.
@Jack Jonas mmm .. cast iron.. strong
Leeta I wanna tell him the same.... as ur reason... .

It’s called Toyota
Your right foot went to Harvard !
You Toob 😂😂😂😂😂😂😵😱
The driving skill and the build go great together this was absolutely epic to watch thank you
WOW ! thank you for the ride - now i will go and thrash my SUBARU !
arse clenching stuff, amazing video
This was mesmerizing to watch! Supra driver is on point and overtook a car he had no business being faster than.... props
@Jethro Hull Jethro Hull Hmmm 🤔, a purpose built racecar that barely weighs a 1000lbs, racecar aerodynamics, suspension and gearing vs what you call a "tuner car"... I say that's more than impressive bud... but to each their own
@@dejansiljegovic4467 really depends on the driver. Also think that guy wasn't wanting a supra up his ass the entire time trying to battle him lol
@@AB-sr9mc the Supra probably about 20 mph faster along the straights. The Radical tops out at about 155, but is mighty in the twisties.
No mate, the party is still going, thanks for your kind comments! Alot more mods have been carried out since this video.
What a race. I keep coming back to watch this. Just superb. Superman 'Man of Steel'
Holy crap that Supra is very well sorted. The refined horsepower is impressive, but the cornering and handling are unbelievable. Oh, nevermind the driver actually knowing how to drive. 10/10
Indeed...probably fully gutted and track prepped Supra.
It's the dude who posted the video.... thankfully he makes his own content and is a god
BRAKE , BRAKING.
mate you DEFINITELY don't have to be a professional to drive like him.
WAIT HE LET OFF THE THROTTLE TO SLOW DOWN INSTEAD OF USING HIS BRAKES?!??!?! ONLY PROFESSIONALS DO THAT! ......Not.
not the best, just good driving skills in the circuit, weight balance, vison and throttle usage is the basics thing to run in the circuit the most basic thing you can start with, brakes are quite hard to use, that car can go faster and make a best time in that track 7 minutes and 46 secods is quite slow, im pretty sure it can make a better time closer to 7 minutes or less
Just the video I was looking for, awesome driving my guy 🔥
I've seen this video about twenty times, but I don't think it's enough. I love it! 😍
best driving ive seen in a while, hats off to you sir! anyone willing to spank their car around the ring as committed as you deserves a prize!
I was awesome......time.to.replace tires , brakes , underwear....great skill from both drivers...
Listening to the BOV as you lift off the throttle is just heavenly
No BOV. Those are turbo squirrels.
KimsonJohn no it’s both the little whistle is the turbo the bov is easily heard
TJ there is not BOV
Man whoever is driving this supra is absolutely on it. Great drive. Enjoyed this alot, thank you!
I've watched this video so many times now...I keep coming back for the sounds!
"Go fast in a straight line"
"Now turn"
*screams in Supra*
OMG... They laughed every time they overtook the Radical. :)
Joker laugh :;P
And let's not forget they did it with 2 people in a car that probably weighs 2.5x as much as the Radical. Absolutely nuts haha.
4barhigh blah, blah, blah
@@4barhigh Let's not forget that Radical Sr3 has only 250 hp,but still faster than supra in the corners. But supra has 3x more power.
@@4barhigh Consider how much money he has in that Supra, a used SR3 probably costs the same as a stock Supra does now.
Omfg, the sound!!!! And that laugh. Perfect 👌 Nice lap
Brilliant stuff. Two great cars. Two talented drivers. Proper commitment!
Great video, loved it when you flew past him first time giggling.... classic
Ra Ma I don't get it. So if you laugh when you are having fun it's childish? He didn't break any track rules, it was a clean fun race. How is having fun childish? 🤣
Ra Ma you sound like a whole bunch of fun, you seem like that old dude that calls the cops on a party
I'm watching this in Guyana South America...I approve this message...your supra is a badass!!
Thank you Paul, glad you liked the video.
Ah man the laugh when you pass the radical is great🤣. What a badass car you have
How very fortunate you are to have the perfect place to race near you. Truly blessed.
That supra was going so fast i was stressing out just by watching. Never taught they could handle like that. Nice vid!!
5:14 what a wonderful sound. wow
Perfect battle of Supra straight line speed and top end vs the Radical's cornering speed and low end! I was worried the Supra was going to end up in the grass chasing him through the tighter corners but he knows his cars limits well!
Awesome video. I love the fact they both go silent as soon as they get passed at the start.
3:48 a couple of Joker's laughs.
Worst part of the vid.
@@gprn3 best part
Even tho I don’t own a Supra, watching him passing that SR3 was so satisfying
I feel this was like a battle between power and finesse... Great video!
Great, pure enjoyment! WIshed to be there, raced, battled...
Holy fkn shit best race I ever seen... The sound of the radical is amazing. Both drivers are very skilled
Now lets see it race a rxc radical with some horses, and not a hyabussa engine.
That Supra is a monster! Love watching this, especially the hysterical laughter during the overtake. Really good lap too, not just quick!
Absolutely fantastic round. Here you can see perfect how good the car in maximum speed is and how good and perfectly this "hellbikecar" in curves is...
Good handling in the supra, cornering is on point, that turbo is sneezing and enjoying the run...great vid
