This is a reposting of a video I made a while ago that didn't get many views. I am reposting it because about eight weeks ago I fell playing soccer and suffered a pretty bad broken rib. I was unable to do much with my broken rib, so exercising stopped and my weight increased. After going back and watching this video again, I was reinspired. Now that I am finally able to exercise, I am wearing my FitBit again and have been walking to get back into shape. So far this week I am averaging over 20,000 steps a day!
Simple Man
I love this simple, and also, humble approach, that youve taken so as to inspire others.
All the best.
That's impressive , at 20000 steps a day you will be all ready for summer!
Thanks man, I appreciate your kind words
I hope so lol, about to hit 30k today 😀
Simple man.... I started your 100 push-ups a day challenge and am 9 days in.
I went from only being able to do 20 -25 at a time to 35 without stopping. It motivated me to do a pull-up challenge. Right now I can only do 2-3, my goal is 10 an eventual 20.
I started walking 3 - 10 miles a day from doing almost no exercise, this was in March, started at 270lbs+. Down to 196lbs as of yesterday morning less than nine months later.
WHOA that’s awesome!!!
Awesome ❤❤❤❤
Thats motivation for me! Thanks for sharing 😊
Awesome bro
I’m 270 rn height 5”11 & I feel my worse 😭
I’m going to increase my daily steps from 10k to 15k. I really enjoy walking outdoors and I feel great.
Excellent job on your transformation 👍
Same 😊
Hey brother, just looked at your video. And what got to me what when you said you started to walk and not go to the gym because you knew you would get burnt out. I tried your method of walking at least 8 miles a day. Im 5,8” and 258, and in two weeks I dropped down to 232 and reduced my calorie intake and drink more water like you said, I have diabetes(type 2) and high blood pressure, and I’m fed up with being unhealthy. Thank you for this video. This was a wake up call. What also helped me out was stretching before and after, and having great shoes, I recommend the hoka one one Clifton 7, or brooks ghost 13. Your feet will thank you. I have my goal of being 185-190
That’s a great start man! Best of luck reaching your goals! Sustainability is the key for sure
You are as real as they come... informative with a caring, positive demeanor.

Thanks man, much appreciated!
Aw the men folk are being wholesome 😍🌞😍
Walking is SO underated. Everywhere you look it's about how fast one can go. I'm 53 and those days are GONE. Lol. Did triathlons and biathlons with some century rides sprinkled in. Now I have zero knee cartilage. None. Zilch. Bone on bone. But I'm here to tell you it's still possible to simply walk. Bought some Nike invincible running shoes and I walk around 14k-18k steps a day. Gingerly. Knees still throb but not "painful" but definitely throbbing after the work out and I know I have to do it again the next day. Sometimes I get on my treadmill to alleviate the pain as it has a cushioned deck. Simple walking is a beautiful way to lose weight.
Nice video and appreciate the motivation.
You’re so inspirational to me. I’m 38 and I’ve recently discovered the power of just walking every day and it’s made such a difference not just in my weight but in my overall mood and body pain.
I didn’t know it was underrated. It’s my medicine, my joy, my fun, my relaxation and so much more. I had no idea others didn’t value it as much as me, but I guess that is typical autistic thinking. But still, it seems common sense to me that walking’s good for us 🤷🏽♀️.
I love the way you put yourself out there. you have inspired me to get up off my but and start walking. Thanks Thumbs UP
Thank you and best of luck!
You are not just a Simple Man, you are the Great Man. You have inspired me to change my look, so here I am on second day of 5k steps a day. As you can see I am not pushing myself to the limits. For this point in my life I just want to build a habit that will keep me going. Thank you, Sir!
Awesome man, I’m glad it inspired you. Best of luck meeting your goal!
Thanks for this video!!! I'm 17 days straight walking no off days and drinking water
I lost 38lbs when I gave up soda completely soda is so bad it will rot out the intestines if a person is a heavy soda drinker
how v
I appreciate you showing your stats right away. Very motivating!
You certainly are committed to exercise and good health. On a side note I am on Day 5 of the 30 day push-up challenge. Good results so far. Thank you for your videos.
That’s awesome man! The first 5 days are the toughest! Best of luck in the last 25!
Love this video! My weight is something that has really been bothering me lately. I have a Fitbit as well. I just lack the motivation. In the last 2 weeks I have cut down on soda dramatically. From 6 cans a day to about 2 a week. I've lost like 4 lbs..hey it's a start!! Thanks for the video and maybe we can be Fitbit friends. 😎👍
Soda is the thing that kills me to. Every time I reduce it my weight drops off. Absolutely man, I’d love to add you on Fitbit! My username is SimpleMan
Request sent 👍
I got you added man! I’ll be keeping an eye on you lol
Simple Man add me too bro
Why don’t you just switch to diet soda and drink all you want?
Hey simpleman! Just watched your push-ups everyday for one year video and noticed something you mentioned; everyday strength. You said you enjoyed being ready at all times. Another UA-camr, one I have used as a basis for my calisthenic journey, has the same outlook. His name is Red Delta project. His outlooks toward exercise is truly refreshing in the wake of dogmatic approaches to diet and exercise. Give 'em a search!
👍🏽 getting used to the step by step approach has been difficult for me, but it’s great now I’m there and I love how the progressions happen naturally and how we can also step back easily when necessary when we are going slow enough to be able to listen to our body.
Don’t say that you don’t have the time, you should say you don’t take the time.
Everybody has the time to change when a constraint or an event makes you take the time to do something.
If you plan your week, stick to it and don’t let external factors disturb your routine, you will be successful and achieve your goal.
Appreciate your transparency it’s not easy to be that open good for you my friend keep up the effort 💪
This is awesome, and I am watching it a year later. You have a new subscriber. I like how sensible you were when starting it. I have lost 30 pounds in the last year, and most of it has been without exercise. (Though I am feeling motivated to get back to a walking habit.) A lot of it has been about cutting down on sugar and processed carbs, eating less overall, more whole foods, and more water. I applaud you on cutting down on the soda. I view it as liquid candy and drink it rarely. I also cut juice out of my life, I used to be addicted to around three glasses of oj a day. Keep it up!
Excellent video. I like the data you show via the numbers! Also, very clever too - water in the Chex mix bag!
Haha, thanks and thank you for watching!
Wow.. what a simple, easy to understand and motivational video! Thanks! I’ve heard the terms calorie deficit and intake etc and never understood it until now. 😊
Hey man, I am going through something similar. I would recommend looking into intermittent fasting. What I normally do is combine fasting with walking to maximize the fat burning effect of the walk. Also, before a meal I would do some weight lifting to maximize muscle recovery and growth. Before a fast I would eat something close to keto(mostly fat, since it is my main energy source while fasted), and after weights I would go for good carbs and protein with low or no fat. Carbs would replenish glycel and that would leave protein for regeneration. I'm no expert, but it's been working for me so far. I've lost around 100 pounds in 5 months, and I've gained a lot of muscle mass. And since IF is a better way to lose fat, I don't have many issues with loose skin.(I do have some, since I am short and used to weight 272 pounds.)
100 pounds in 5 months in amazing man, congratulations! I actually and doing IF right now and even been doing some OMAD. You definitely start to feel better when you aren’t eating all the time. Much less bloated for sure. Keep up the great work man!
I am glad you reposted this as it really spoke to me. I am going to make an effort to walk more, as per the advice in this video.
Thank you from St Ives, Cornwall, UK.
I’m glad it was helpful to you! I’ll have another one coming out in a few days.
Simple Man Great stuff. Thank you.
Love your videos! The honesty and real ness
Thank you!
Your channel is great man thanks for making these videos!
Thanks man!
Awesome transformation I really applaud and appreciate your discipline and dedication ❤I started about a week and a half ago 8-10k a day and now I feel like stepping it up to 15k because of the energy and just wow factor of what this can do to your whole mental physical and all around health!!!!!❤🙏so inspirational!!!!
Great work, so real.
Hi from Melbourne Australia
Many tools to weight loss however eating is the main factor there’s no getting around it. I cannot outwork a crappy diet.
Excellent video. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
Hi there, your channel and this video is so inspiring. It proves getting out there and doing regular walks and watching your calories can mean serious results. You’ve inspired me to get that dusty fitbit charged up and enjoy the great outdoors. Thanks man, keep hem coming🤙🏻
Awesome man, I’m glad to hear it! Good luck!
Thankyou man.
Thanks Simple Man! A straight forward, no bull explanation!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your honesty! Excellent video!
I drink lots of water and do 12000 steps a day but I have done more. I'm female, only 5'2" but I weight 112 lbs. I don't need weight loss at least I don't think so but I do want to tone up. Your video was interesting to me.
focus on the calories and not the macros people! he is right about this.
Keep it simple! Nice job man!
"You keep with it cause your tired of being fat" 😁
Great job! Small, simple steps - this is motivating.
Thank you very much!
I did a lot of the same stuff it really helps so track your calories so you can find out what foods you shouldn't be eating like potato salad lol
Yeah your right, keeping track makes a huge difference. I need to try and do better at that myself!
This was a really well made video. Very inspirational.
Thanks man! I’m glad you liked it. I put a lot of work into this video, but it never really took off. Thanks for noticing!
I started walking around fall or end of summer last year 2023 I was 250+ I’m not 193 and still going along with calorie defiant,Fasting and drinking only water has helped me get to where I’m at
I love this video! It’s very helpful to me! I hope you make more like this.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it!
I burned all of my calories trying to do all that math. And now I'm exhausted.
Wow, great Idea I walk 15k in my basement just watching sports and TV show after 2 days I could sleep better
Thats a very real metric! I'm trying to get back in shape a little since I have been sitting for two years because of covd.
Umm I dont think the average person is gonna lose 10 pounds in just two weeks lol. I walked Six miles everyday for nine weeks and I only dropped 22 pounds. I went from 208 to 186 pounds
wow that’s amazing
Great and motivating video, just like the rest of your videos. Honest approach and with results. Not impossible to do so a big motivation. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and thanks for watching! Really appreciate it!
I walked on average 15k a day and lost 50lbs in 5 months. It's possible just gotta find the time
15k steps is like what, 7.5 miles a day
Love your videos, the simple no nonsence approach is really motivating me, I am now doing 100 press ups and 100 squats a day and I am two weeks in 👍🏼
good job, keep goin dude!!!
Love it man
Thank you!
Keep posting!
Good
Video. Set point theory says lose 10% of body weight at a time then maintain for 6 months to avoid triggering a rush of hunger hormones like gherelin. So I’m your case lose 20 and just stop. Keep walking at least 10,000 and no coke but get your calories up to maintenance BMR.
I’ve been off coke now for 1 year, thought I would never break that happen!
WOW, losing 10 lbs (or 4.5 kg) in 2 Weeks is IMPOSSIBLE.BTW do more walking videos with longer duration.
Also this was great keep it up😀😀😀
Great info. You motivated me to walk & get a Fitbit 👣💪🏼
15k steps... I remember when that used to be a lot for me. Now I get that in just over an hour and a half. x_x
5lbs a week is a lot for a normal sized person. Did you do carb restriction?
I am also walking 15000 steps but didn't lose more than 2 pounds in a month.
Cuz u r muslim
Have to diet right and fast
Yo, Simple Man! I started this same journey last year with a few offs and ons. Really picked it up hard at the beginning of this year. Probably averaging right around 15k steps per day, but that is only distance walks since my phone uses gps rather than steps. I would imagine closer to 20k. I found that if I cut 3 things that are just brutal for you (I chose pizza, cola, and sweets) and you replace those three things with 3 good things (fancy salads, kombucha, and cottage cheese) the pounds or kgs will melt off.
It is amazing to see your transformation. I was 186cm and 92kg, and now 186.5kg (posture) and 81.5kg. I commend everyone who is trying/doing this on their effort.
One of the hardest things is giving up your stress relievers...games, tv, movies etc. I found that a good podcast that fits your taste can keep you walking for even more time. I know we all have different schedules, but lets keep it up! I love hearing about the results of others.
Great for you, keep up the good work!
That's awesome, how long did it take you to get down to that weight?
@@AF-we4re thanks. About 8-10 weeks. But maintaining right at 82. Been a fun journey.
@@defacta5 I'm inspired
Walking is soo underrated, however try not to have your calorie deficit over 700 calories, cause while I realize that it sounds like nonsense, but that will really affect your metabolic rate in the long run.
Walking by far my favorite exercise. I can never figure out the best calorie deficit. I see different numbers all over the place. Lately I’ve been going by feel. If I’m hungry I eat, but I don’t eat late at night and I don’t over eat. We’ll see how it goes I guess
@@SimpleManChannel its mostly different figures as its based on your body weight, to maintain a healthy weightloss you shouldnt go for more then one percent of your body weight so if you weigh 200lbs you shouldnt exceed 2lb weightloss which is about 7000 calories in a week.
Thank you hun!!
Do you have a link to the silicone egg things in the video?
What i definitely get from this is if you lift weights and do this basically results would be even more with added definition. Good job though very good video better than the top fitness guys very credible results and motivating!
Love this!
Really cool 😎. Thank you so much for sharing
I walk over 20k steps a day for 2 months, didn't lose any weight, my belly still big.
20,000 steps a day is the magic number if you can do that you will lose weight incredibly fast especially if you add 75 pushups and 100 situps every second day. The diet plan is also the key. I lost 80 pounds in 8 months, it took allot of time to get in good enough shape to walk 20,000 steps a day so be patient
I really enjoy your videos!
Something as simple as walking could be the best thing for you.
I walk at least 10 miles a day some days 20 to 25 miles
Thank you Simple Man
I like this video men we all need motivation and stay healthy is so important
Thanks man!
Great. I, too, walk about 15kms everyday.
Really cool video thanks. What fitbit would you recommend for accuracy on steps please?
Love this!!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing
good work man :)
Thanks man!

Dragonfly us very very motivated by this great simple information and simple way to loos weight. I have used thousands of dollars/punds on Herbalife and other stuff. I decided to stopp smoking 6 months ago and have not smoked at all. I am so ready for next step. Thank you very much. I am crazy about ice-cream and white cheese....its gonna be a battle but being an aquarian I go for it. 😀🌈
Thank you! Congrats on quitting smoking. I wish you luck in your weight loss journey!
@@SimpleManChannel Thank You I telle you later my results 👌

I don't know how much I walk daily, but just got a treadmill and doing 2 kms, so I'd say I'm doing maybe 4 k steps a day, gonna get a pedometer looks like fun
Great video, 15k seems like a lot 😆
Very good
What is that egg thing?
how many steps are you up to now?>
I’m still between 15k to 20k usually. On the weekends I can get 25k or more on a good day though.
@@SimpleManChannel great! you just inspired me to do a 25,000 steps today!

I walked 10 thousand step a day since 2014.i was bypassed 2014 my dr told me you must walked 10 thousand step every day.before i’m 87 kilo today 73 kilo.

Thats great man, two birds with one stone!
how long does it take you to walk 15000 steps in one go?
In addition to my normal everyday steps about an additional 60 to 90 minutes ussually
I wonder whether you still walk 15k steps up until today
I still walk a lot as often as I can, but I don’t track it like I was. That being said, during the winter especially, I dont always hit 15k
@@SimpleManChannelwow thanks for the reply, you know what your video really inspired me to upgrade my daily target from 10K to 15K steps. At first, I was exhausted but after 7 days, i feel so good. I didn't track my record, but I can feel my body becomes lighter. So, thanks for the video. Keep inspiring people.
