    Man that thing looks incredible!
    I wish more people would drive Nitro again. Started out with brushless and then got my first nitro; its like the hobby finally feels like I dreamed it would feel!
    Sadly most people just run brushless these days, especially in densely populated Germany.... hard to find somebody who also runs them.

      I'm getting back into nitro myself. I just bought a new Revo 3.3 which should be delivered soon. I own many brushless vehicles and love them. Why not have the best of both worlds.

      I run nothing but nitro and I fucking love it. But Im' in the US so itt'l be hard for us to run together lol.
      HPI WR8 Nitro is the bee's knees by the by. You owe it to yourself to grab one if you haven't already. I did and I've been enamored by it! Also a first for me: the break-in/default carb settings also happen to be a perfect slightly-rich-but-happy forever tune, too. I've gotten a dozen or so tanks through mine and it's fully broke in...haven't touched the carb. Haven't needed to.

      I agree 100% with ya brother! I see all these electric reres but no nitros. I can only assume it has do with the fitment of the nitro engines. You can't just drop any modern .21 in these without the chain rubbing on the carb or other issues.

    Be careful using sealant in place of a gasket on things like that. Often the tolerances are built with the gasket thickness in mind and you can end up binding things if it's not there. Doesn't always happen but it can.

    Batteries in a nitro RC Car is suspiciously going to take off if your battery is disconnected, it can cause a run away, they are funny when people have that happen to them but it is risky for your car to veer off into something, I would recommend getting batteries for Nitro RC Cars, just letting you know because I don’t want that to happen to your rare piece of collection…

    The equivalent to a choke in rc nitro is to put your finger over the outlet on the pipe while trying to start it, the pressure from the engine fills the pipe and goes down the tube to the gas tank and pushes extra fuel into the carb, it primes the line and will flood the engine if you leave your finger on it.

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  4 місяці тому

      I completely understand but it's really hard to do when I need both hands to start it. I really wish I could find a glow plug starter that's long enough so I could have an extra hand to choke it.

    I had a similar (copy?) of the Kyosho, it was a "Silver Fox - Gold Edition". Chain drive etc.

If you make a video of it, it will add to the history of the car. i love the concept, every detail on this car. I guess nobody has this car in a beautiful condition like yours. But still it should be brought to life once more ir kept alive all over. Let it be seen in it‘s natural habitat, how it‘s intended to move. Some dunes, sandy beach or so. Whatever you do thanks for showing me this wonderful car. I‘m right now building 2 kyosho fantom re-re‘s and i‘m 48 years old, so i can relate.
