@@RDM3DLAB You got that right! This is by far my favorite boat. I have some new props on the way and hoping to see 85-90 mph on the next run.

It's running the same speed with both stock remote and the dx5. 40mph is all I can get unless something needs to be programmed in the esc. Or maybe raise the trim tabs some. Temps was always low after each run. Very strange being I haven't done nothing from out of the box.

It's at 100 on the Dx5.. You say 150 will do the trick?

So run it a smidge dryer.. I'm out of lipo option with the 3 diff brands I used so far. I will give that a shot! Thanks for the info.

@@nwirc that’s correct. Basically take your Allen key and turn it a quarter turn by looking at it and then tighten the screw and then go to the other tab and turn it just a quarter turn open that way they’re done evenly and you’re not just guessing.

Yes! I did, I don't trust the manufacture so I pulled the shaft and greased it. They have that nifty grub screw for greasing the bushing but I still pull the shaft out after each day of running.

In this video I used x2 Zeee premium 4s 5200mah 120c lipos.

@@nwirc please use the green label smc packs. We have tried everything and nothing compares to these packs. we even went 3 mph faster just from changing the packs. And way more power.

I used SMC's in2s and 3s and they are awesome! Trust me those in 4s will be purchased soon. Thanks

Thank you. I'm still kinda new to the rc boating world but I'm a fast learner. I would like to get it up to 100 mph but I don't think that's going to happen on the stock electronics without burning them up.

I didnt really think i was going to like it. but it has my attention too. i was thinking of 8S the sonicwake. or the 48" then bigger electric's . just playing now to get an idea with all the hype. lol Have Fun

I believe I bought them directly from T-bone Racing.

It's kinda muscle memory for me. It only has to be snug being it's a nylon lock nut. You could add some blue loctite for added insurance.

I'm not home to measure them but the boat does turn better. I need to get an updated video out on this.

It's hard to say. Just the conversation kit was around 150 us. Plus the 280 for esc and motor. I know I spent around 500 .

I'll remember that fir the next time. I ended up replacing it and had to tighten up the slipper clutch. Now she runs great!

Mine did the same thing after a few runs. They sent me a new one and it works perfectly fine. Tip: I don't recommend upgrading the prop cause imo these 120a escs are to small for these boats. If I decide to upgrade to a larger prop I will upgrade to a 150a-160a or even a 180a esc. These are some awesome boats!

@@nwirc I think your right. Big B hasn't it right too. He went with the 160a, I was thinking leave the prop where it is and play with it this way. Until I get board. Lol. Have fun

I would yes to the bad esc. That's exactly what mine was doing and I was blaming the lipos. Changed our the esc and it runs great again.

I'm just testing the limits.

A good 15 mins of non stop bashing. I've gone 20 mins light bashing as well.

I would just stick with the stock prop running stock. Upgrade your esc to a 160a‐180a before upgrading your prop cause that stock 120a will overheat or possibly fail like mine did. Otherwise go with the best and get a Dasboata speed prop.

@katpis9121 Here's the link but the best way to reach him is through email. He's a super awesome dude and hand makes all of his props. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. And Hobbywing is a good choice 👌

@@nwirc I do have one HPI Nitro RS42 that needs an Engine! The Chassis is full Titanium! I bought it back in 2002! I had the Nitro MT also! But I had to sell it! Bills needed to be paid.

@@nwirc The only reason I chose the 2.5 Instead of the 3.3 was because it has reverse! The 3.3 no longer has it! Which is kinda of disappointing! But that's ok. I'm assuming I can swap in a 3.3 at some time and point. Hopefully without any issues.

@jesseortega8598 Reverse is a nice option to have. I did a 3.3 swap in a 2.5 for a friend it worked out great. He only wanted it done cause the 2.5 locked up and had a complete 3.3 laying around.
