Additional review notes:
COMFORT:
55 Pro are actually really nice. I like the fit, light weight, and sturdiness
55 Buttons are STIFF and annoying
25 are much lighter yet, but not comfortable
SOUND QUALITY:
55 Pro - Unbelievably muddy
Tight staccato bass isn’t a thing with these buds
Poor clarity
Over emphasis on bass (which isn’t even good bass)
Dull mids with bloated profile overall
Poor instrument separation
Cymbals are completely drowned out
No equalizer :(
If you know nothing about audio quality, these will sound fine to you.
A definite improvement over the regular 55s
No EQ app
E25 Pro - Much more balanced than 55s, but not good
Bass is removed
Big sound hits are dull
The balance is better but it is hard to say what is wrong with the sound because there is very little right with it. No instrument separation, no spacial, over emphasis on upper mids
Some drums sound more like crackling than drums.
Overall trash audio quality. Even if you know nothing about audio quality, these will sound probably sound bad to you
CONCLUSION:
The 55 Pro would be a solid pair of earbuds if they were $50. $70 at most. They have a lot of nice features and specs but lack sound quality, an app for customizations, and convenient controls. These are compromises that completely eliminate them from the conversation of best earbuds. If your only goal is to get rid of your wires, you know nothing about audio, and you already ordered these, you will be happy with them. If you have not yet ordered them, there are earbuds that sound much better for the price
The 25 Pro are not pro at all. They changed a few things but these are still worth $25 at best. If you’re on a budget, just get the JLab Go Air for $20. If you want to spend $80, get the Galaxy Buds (original). I would just not get these

Best clearest, tech reviewer on YT. You don't feel like you're playing a character. Just straight to the point and tons of details and technical without being boring. Keep up the great work.
Any time your company name ends in "con", you might have a problem. And you're absolutely right: Seeing all kinds of UA-camrs doing paid promotions for these without seeing them end up on any "best of" lists is a big red flag.
I wonder if any of them actually tried them.
@@carpo719 part of me thinks for paychecks they mostly don't care. Power of marketing they get that money regardless.
Agree with the "con" comment red flags. Seriously. Appreciate this YT his review. Anyone previously linked to Kardashians question them fully. Narcissistic Abuse and gaslighting is our economic formula at the moment. Mostly trust no one now.

The previous video about Raycon is how I found the channel, so I was really looking forward for a new video about it, hope next time you can show the quality of the the raycon that they show as “the work earbuds”.
I am not sure if I am meant to be able to watch this but thanks any way I was ready just to buy these because so many youtubers take the sponsorship.
How did you watch it 2 days ago
I uploaded it as an unlisted video and I think The_Fox found it via a playlist!
@@MikeOBrienMedia oo wow
I thought this was a sponsor speaking but he just started saying how bad the sound quality is.
Definitely an improvement on the microphones. Specifically the e55 to e55 pro.
Not so much the lack of clarity, more like the lack of quality. These are cheap Chinese garbage sold as a premium product....and no amount of marketing is gonna change that. I like that you take them to task on most of that, thanks! We need more honesty on this more and more bought off medium....
Thank you for sharing your feedback!
Exactly. Slapping a "Raycon" sticker over Chinese garbage earbuds.
imagine spending more time to just type “Chinese” garbage 🥴
To be honest, your video and all these comments really surprise me. I've heard a few bad things about Raycon, yet decided to try the fitness earbuds for myself. Frankly I don't see what all the fuss is about, they have great noise isolation(passive noise cancelling) and great sound, which can be switched between perfect, bass or balanced sound. I usually leave it at balanced and I think they sound great. The battery life is impressive, I only charge them approximately once a week, they have a great fit if you bother choosing the right attachments for your ear. They are cheap in comparison to others and I've had them for 1 year+ and still work just fine. If the fitness earbuds had ANC, they would definitely be my personal go to earbuds for any occasion.
You might not respond but this is a out dated video they made more updates
I did like the ability to play, pause, and rewind podcasts with my shoulder when my hands are dirty or busy, is the lack of that much of a drawback on touch earbuds?
Indoors, E25 pros mic sounds like the the E55 which is an upgrade for them. The E55 pros sound noticeably better than before

I don't know if this happened after this, but they have added an equalizer mode on the E25, so there are three different modes whether you want a sound that focuses on notes, balance or bass

I bought the E25 pros recently at 20% off, so for like 64 bucks. I think they're fine for that price, but I don't think I would recommend them at full price. I play the drums and I was really looking for some wireless headphones to use for playing. I don't mind the bass, but I definitely feel I could've gone with another brand and would've been more satisfied. I'll probably keep the E25 pros, but I may invest in some other wireless headphones for playing drums and just use the E25 Pros for casual use only.

64 bucks for trash 🤣
@@BloPsy__ Actually they lasted me over a year and a half and worked great! 😁
@@GengarsEvilSpirit that's quite a low bar. I have my gen 1 Galaxy buds to this day, bought them second hand and they still work as before. Not to mention the sound quality compared to trashcons.
@@BloPsy__ Good for you, bro. Let me live my life, and I'll let you live yours
The case looks pretty much like the Galaxy Buds and the Galaxy Buds Live case
Hmm very true 🧐
Looks similar but I have the e25 pro and galaxy buds and they’re very different. It’s flatter, longer and different details.
So not much has changed, made for portability and listening to music as background noise. Which is what the majority of these types of earbuds are made for. As far as an app to EQ (which sounds like there is no need to do with these any way), there are music player apps with EQ's built in that you can do that with.
Volume is fairly loud, clear lyrics and heavy bass 🔊 still need to make n app. Haven't had a chance to test life. My e55 pro the "Performer" actually says 7hrs and 40hrs in case.
Came here after the first Raycon video you did, nice in-depth review
Wow, the pro version of both sound so much better than the standard. The standard headphone sounded like you were underwater.
There's only one pair of Raycons that I ever liked and those were the X90 Titans. Unfortunately they were discontinued. I currently use the OnePlus Bullet Z earbuds and when comparing them to my buddies Raycon E25 Pros. I wasn't impressed at all with them.
I appreciate this video so much man. I was about to get the everyday raycon earbuds because I was desperate but now I’ve changed my mind. Thanks

Where do you find the E55 pro vs. the normal E55? On the website, it seems that they are only selling the original versions of the earbuds. Have they not hit the market yet?
You need to exchange the e55 you have and they'll send you the 55 pro I got mine today
@@Toby-fs5fo did you just email them or what?
Can the Raycon buds be updated with new firmware? If so then the over the top base might be correctable. Not that such things would fix design-driven issues.
Great review. The e25 pro sound natural but have lots of background noise. E55pro have a decent mic
Agreed. The E55 Pro mic is actually decent

Great review but I must have missed something... On the Raycon site I see Everyday, Fitness, ect. What is e25 and e55?
The pro series are much better. Glad to see another video about these before my decision.
I was going to buy these earbuds, but thanks to your video Mike plus a few other people on UA-cam, I did my research and ended up with the Sony wf 1000xm3 and I couldn't be happier. Amazing sound!
Same price design is awful
just bought a set of 25's , selling at 79 bucks, with a 20 percent discount which one is most likely going to use to 2 day ship. havent tried them yet, going to give them the weekend
Have you heard of luxe pods I see them on tiktok just curious about them and curious about Skullcandy too and M10 Tws
alright so, the weekend is over and i have my review on the raycon 25's; so i am moving from the apple airpods (i think the first generation) my main issue with the airpods was the battery length.
so my biggest issue being battery length.. raycon destroy that obviously
the build is great, in a world of masks you are able to just rip the mask off and they wont catch and pull the plugs out.
the multiple plastic pieces they send you allow it to fit multiple ear sizes, though i would of loved to seen a better flexible plastic piece to better block the sound
audio quality, im the last person to really be able to talk on this.. doubt ive ever really heard good quality sound. that being said, i agree the low end is muddled a little but not that badly. granted a lot of the music i listen is on the low end with drums and death growls. the high end i didnt notice any issues, the symbols sounded like symbols and the voice quality was good.
so if you are looking for good quality audio, i will say this probably still isnt your choice.. but if youre like me and dont know good quality from ok quality then this could work well enough especially if they continue giving the 20% (i believe) discount, which fits nicely into upgrading the delivery time.
Mike, how did Raycon do on battery life?
Have you tried or thought about trying out bone conduction earbuds
They are gaining popularity! I might have to make a video about them soon
I love your straight to point content
Thank you!
How do the work buds sound?
i had the e25 for a year before the audio faded out and the case fell apart, im still using the original e55 although the case broke over time its still surviving strong as daily headphones
In your video you talk about no equalizer, but im pretty sure the raycons have an equalizer system if u hold the button down for 1.5 seconds
I got my raycon e25s for 63.99 on a black Friday sale. Would you say that's a good price

Ray J is related to at least two of his endorsers. Brandy is his siter and Snoop Dogg is his cousin.
I don't really care for Raycons. I'm just sick of seeing them EVERYWHERE.
Great video my dude.
I remember when every UA-camr got sponsored by them
Yeah that was a big thing! I'm just trying to bring some transparency and inform potential buyers of what these are actually like!
It’s kind of sad because I was about to drop 150 cad to get the e55 pros then I saw both your videos on these and realized the sound quality is not to my expectation, almost got tricked by all the sponsors. thanks man.
Thanks for this video! great reviews!
Thank you!
How do they compare to soundcore?
Personally I've experienced both the e55 and the e55 pro, call quality was better with the e55. When I bought the e55 pro, whoever I was on a call with stated that the ambient sound was amplified. Switched to the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro and have no regrets.
great video, what's your go to earbud
I just replaced 2 pairs of Jlabs that I cycled between daily for battery life and ive owned exclusivly $20 to $30 buds with ambigouse origins for years and these Raycons are not comparable to any of them, they are much better. I prefer the tactile button 1000x compared to touch buttons on my cheaper pairs my only complaint it that to pause audio you have to push twice instead of once which controls volume on them instead. I set volume on the phone so the only time I ever touch them in my ears is to pause audio and I would prefer that to be a one touch and volume be hold down, click thirty three times, hire someone to run to my phone, or something else less immediate. I often need to kill audio abruptly and this leaves me with pulling it out of my ear bc it's faster than clicking the volume up and then realizing I have to click twice and oops too late I missed that important information what's his face was saying forever so I hope what ever it was will go away on it's own and not interrupt my podcast ever again. 🙃
The e25 pro has a more compact design and there’s a little hook so you can strap it on anywhere that has a strap
Can the Raycon's earbuds be use by any amsung devices?
Idk if it was timing of the cars but the older ones sounded better then the new ones outside atleast to me
I miss the physical buttons on the E55s. Now branded as the Fitness ear buds they have touch controls instead of physical buttons...
How can I sync my Raycon buds to my Samsung S22+?
I got the everyday e25 Pro for Christmas, and since they're the only buds I've ever had they seem good, but "bassy". I asked for them because of the design which I love, but an app would be a plus.
Can't you use a 3rd party eq app?
@@sirpentineplays5560 it's kinda different actually, because with the app you're tweaking the buds itself
@@Owen123456r I’m not sure that’s true. That would mean you’re changing the physical drivers in the iems. An app does just the same as an eq app
@@nikkic36 ahhh i see, good to know 🙏
Well I got my mom a pair for Mother's day this year and she loves them. She cant get enough of them. So i thought id get myself a pair and ever since i got them which was yesterday. The left earbud doesnt receive any audio and the right one does but i can tell the audio isnt that great. Honestly pretty dissapointed with my E25's. I'm just gonna ask for my money back.
One thing you should consider is that because of marketing, the base price may be higher than the actual price because people are enticed with a percentage off through their favorite UA-cam creator.
Hey Mike,
Not to disrespect or disagree with you, but, there is a saying: “you can’t always get what you want”. Everyone is different, somethings may be perfect for one person, however not for the others! Instead of telling us that there are better sounding quality earbuds than Raycons, name a few brands that you would recommend that is better sound quality. I would like to know!!!
I don't think this is an issue of "its just not for me" but more its not worth the price. The people that claim they like this much bass likely have never heard good earbuds or headphones that are good at bass. Honestly I think Raycon banked on people just not knowing better as having a statement of "affordable but high quality" is very attractive to people who do not own more high quality products to know better. Not only is there an issue but sound but they don't off near the features that competing earbuds, like Galaxy Buds Plus, offer. you are better off taking your $120 and putting that to Buds Plus/Pro or just Airpods pro. If you are gonna spend your $120 at least make it worth it and nothing Raycon offers is worth that cost.
Request: pls do a review on 1More Comfobuds Pro.
Why do companies insist on adding pro to things to make them sound like they’re better
Money 🤷♂️
Is the Raycon everyday model the formal name for the E25
Now Raycon has the Fitness and the Everyday earbuds. I hope you review them. (I stumbled across your channel when I considered buying Raycon earbuds, and I am glad I found you. I really like your reviews and your whole personal style--not to mention your nice looks, LOL).
It sounds clear but muffled, the 2nd pair is slightly better but it’s not a dramatic difference. It never occurred to me that none of the UA-camrs raving about the Raycons were musicians. Seems like they’ll work because comfort is the most important thing for me
I’m using the 25 pro’s now and it’s clipping sound a lot and randomly plays from one ear to the other and I am not sure how to fix them. This is my first day with them too, so I feel kinda cheated after seeing them everywhere on UA-cam. Anyone know a good fix for this issue?

Hey! I'm curious if you (or someone in the comments) could help me find a pair of earbuds that have all the features I'm looking for. I have the Jabra 65ts and the ONLY thing I don't like about them is that if I only use one bud, it can only be the right one. I like the idea of charging one while I use the other so either ear should be playable. They have great sound and I also love that they have actual button controls.
Oh and also something thats kind of budget since I don't want to spend hundreds. Around $100-$150 would be ideal.
You can look into the Soundcore earbuds. They're great value for money and can use either bud while the other charges. Sounds great as well.

I just received a set of raycon E25s (12/18/21) and have to say i think they updated them again.. the sound quality is far better than you give them credit for as well as they have added 3 sound profiles (EQ) to the buds. the bass on my set is not interfering with highs or mids, no garbled mix of tones. the mic is still not good though. and for the price point, i think they are one of the best options, i got mine on sale for $69 and an additional discount through my payment method.. ultimately paying $29 for my set.
