We all need to start doing these things again. When I was little my grandmother had 3/4 of her yard just exploding in food. Her strawberry patch was really beyond. As a grown up I can look back and be in awe of how beautiful and tasty those berties were, and how lovingly she cultivated those plants. Heres to Irma. I miss you grandma. And I appreciate all of the self sustaining things you taught me.
Perfect time to grow strawberry plants during these times..beautiful story..
idk how the hell people did it. i mean.... seems like nowadays it's so fkking *technical*! i get the drip irrigation, that just saves time and effort and you don't stress the plant in hot environments. but.... starting seeds early, growlights, greenhouses.... wth were people doing to make gardens work previously??? :,(
@@lurklingX People had patience , but nowadays there are some much chemicals just to make them grow faster because they can't wait a couple of weeks ??
@@creativemaster6201 Weeks? In the video, it took him like 4+ months to grow the strawberries. Seems like a lot of time.

This seems a lot simpler than trying to pick each seed from the fruit with a toothpick.
Thank you for showing all stages of germination and growth. Other videos just cut to grown plants but you showed the min max germination range as well as the newest seedling. This is very helpful.
From Start to Finish, Very informative and Encouraging. Thank you.

@@JuniperJennifer666 perspective :) !
@@ankitasaxena5891 it is kinda fake, strawberries from seed won't bear fruit like this in the first year, I'm sure they fudged it to look better, however strawberry plants send out a root node stem that creates a new plant when it hits the ground, this is called a "runner", if you grow this you can get a decent harvest in the same year.
@@arkatub I see, I wasn't able to get that at the first shot. Thanks :)
I did the seed drying that you showed and I have yet to plant them. Your channel encouraged me to plant like a crazy woman. So I went to Dollar Tree where they actually have 10 gallon grow bags or at least they did. I planted potatoes and my dirt was wet when I planted them so I was thinking they may just rot because I know your not supposed to plant potatoes in wet ground but I prayed and asked God to bless everything In planted. And wow, they are beautiful! I planted beets, celery, lettuces, squash and bell peppers and green beans. I get told all the time how good everything looks. I've inspired my neighbor to do container planting too. I have yet to grow corn and cucumbers. I will though. I've done all this in baskets that I either used a grow bag inside them or a blue Walmart bag and everything is doing great. I have strawberries that my grandkids come and check regularly. It's all worth it just for that. I showed them how to pinch off the leaves of the beet tops and the tops of lettuce to eat and my 5 yr old grandson loved it. Him and his friend are alot and the plants have just rebounded. I planted perrinial flowers and all kinds are coming up. I found out I can grow flowers from seed quite well. I love it! None of the management has complained either.
I wish you could post the pictures for us to see. What a fascinating story. Thank you for sharing.

Хоть бы его переводили на русский!!!
A little trick to keep birds away is to paint a bunch of pebbles red and put them on the soil before the actual strawberries have had a chance to grow, then you can fool them into pecking the rocks and eventually leaving. At least it worked for me :) Thanks for your awesome vid :D

I was looking through comments for this question! I wondered why couldn't you just plant the whole fruit! Thanks!
@@roguestorm2769 .
usually you think a fruit might drop its seeds and then the seed can germinate and grow. but i guess strawberries are even more specific that it should not be in or around the flesh otherwise it may get moldy.

The Best Way To grow strawberries. Thanks A lot👌
I did this as an experiment last summer. I used moldy strawberries I found in the fridge, sliced skin as thin as I could and placed it on top of the soil. I remember sprinkling a thin layer of soil but hardly covered it. It was washed off anyway when I watered it. I placed the pot right by my other plants so it can get watered but it was only getting partial sun since it was being shaded out by the taller plants. I got a ton of plants and transplanted the healthiest looking ones. I haven’t got any fruits from it but it is winter right now and I planted the strawberries in early Sept. I shall see next spring. - zone10a
Please support me to keep it up 🥺🥺
Same here i did it on this year june. Waiting for next year so that my plant produce fruit
How are ur plants
they often don’t bear fruit in the first year, and if they do, It‘s the worst harvest of their 3 year lifespan, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t get the desired result!

Thank you so much for this. I was wondering why my strawberry leaves kept turning brown and I would have to trim them and pull them off and now I know that I'm not supposed to water them. Also I have them in the ground by my bell peppers so I just took them back out of the ground and put them in their own separate pots by my herb section. Hopefully I get some beautiful strawberries like yours.

Your instructions are clearly depict each step to grow strawberries. I am encouraged to start the process🍓🍓🍓
Thank you sooo much for showing this. I'm going to the supermarket to choose the sweetest strawberries 😀😀
Don't buy the sweetest strawberries, instead by the ones out of the organic section. Most strawberries that you get from the grocery store are cross-pollinated. In other words the strawberries from the cheap shelf will grow more like a cartoon picture of a strawberry and be nowhere near as sweet. As where the organic strawberries should grow more bumpy with weird shaping but be far more delicious.
Also as your strawberry start to ripen some of the leaves will start to yellow this is a magnesium deficiency you can feed your strawberries very easily without affecting flavor with a product called calimagic it's calcium and magnesium plant food
Good and very helpful clear video. Thank you for not lecturing useless issues. Easy to follow method. Excellent. Please keep it up.
