Chalk Paint shading and highlighting on a decorative antique bed

  • In order to get the details to pop for this decorative antique bed, I'll be using dixie belle chalk paint with shading and highlight techniques. With a base of French Linen, I used Mason Dixon Gray for shading and Sand bar for the highlights. It's a classy way to take this bed design to the next level. You'll also see the dresser that the customer wanted me to use for inspiration for this bed. Be sure to watch to the end to see the end result.

      Yes I paint the bed first, one color, then use the other color for the shading after the first color dries a good day or so.
