I just have to thank you Annie for the paint and everything that goes with it. Thanks for the techniques we’ve gleaned from you. Thanks for showing us that ANYTHING is possible with this paint, and that what we think may be a mistake, is like Bob Ross used to call “happy little accidents”. I had the privilege of meeting you in Knoxville,TN, USA, and I just loved your sweet easy manner. I buy all my products from “Three Paint Girls” in Greensboro, NC. They are wonderful, and I love them. Thanks again Annie Sloan for changing my life, forever. Jo Burrow, NC, USA.
You are Amazing! Gorgeous door! The technique is awesome! I am going to try it on a jewelry box! Thanks so much for sharing! Your instructions are precious!
Oh Annie that was so very nice seeing you make this cupboard. It looks fantastic,I could just take it out of your hands. And it looks so easy to do. But you explain it so good, and you have a very nice voice so calm. I am going to test it out. Thanks for sharing, stay healthy and God bless.
Thank you! I love watching your videos. You weren't satisfied and admitted it and talked about it. So many painters will edit their mistakes out and not talk about them. It's so nice when we get to see the actual truth behind a finished piece. So thank you! Love your work and all those that work with you. All such great people.
I love this new series. I haven't seen any videos on utube from Annie herself in a long time! And I would love to see some videos with Felix showing techniques too. He is very talented and has learned a lot from his mom
wowwwwwww this is just gorgeous, i'm forever chasing that watery, peely, old old old parisian falling-down-wall look... this is absolutely beautiful! cannot WAIT to try it on an actual wall! :D
Usefull technique, would make great backdrop for decoupage and take some of the work and time out of blending and embedding the decoupage .Thanks for inspiration😃
I love the happy accident but, it’s actually my fave part of the cupboard door.😍thanks for leaving in the “mishap” and showing how to work around it. That’s very reassuring.
Hi Annie, So happy with your products. I live in Peru, but I am an American. While here in Florida for my health I got hooked on furniture painting. I´ve saved 3 pieces and I am thrilled. I´ve purchased many products from many of the distributors here. The truth I´m taking 5 luggage home!!! Do you ship to PERU !!!???????
This technique is gorgeous and I can't wait to try it! I adore you, Annie Sloan, and your videos :) You teach people to go with the flow and that things don't need to be perfect. I also love that you show real life "mistakes" and how to either correct them or...go with the flow! Thank you.
Just stunning 😍 I have many pieces of furniture that need a bit of Annie added to them. I will be attempting this technique, lets hope it turns out as beautiful as yours. Thank you for sharing your talent ♡
You do Beautiful work! I love the distressed look! I did that myself .. w/a chair I found. That someone had taken out to the trash. It was in good shape. I distressed it .. mauve & white. Then .. hand carved a design all over the chair. It turned out .. professional looking. I love the technique & look .. w/newspaper! Looks Vintage .. Primitive .. Antique 🩷
Hi I just found your channel tonight. So happy I did. I’ve heard a lot about your paint, but this is a first to see some of your work!! I absolutely love it. Thank you for giving us a lesson ❣️😊❣️
Love the cupboard, I can see it in my home with some Scandinavian folk art hearts, stars, and flowers a la Carl Larsson or Peter Hunt. Love the graphite box look took. This is an inspiration for a Cream bookshelf I painted that needs a little something else.
It really is fantastic! I’ve never seen anything quite like that. I’m actually really into those tall narrow rustic cabinets right now but they are hard to find. I will be trying that!!
Hello, do you mean the print from the newspaper? It doesn't come off on the paint, but you could use any kind of paper if you were worried: a thick tissue paper would work, or brown wrapping paper. Something with absorbency. Hope this helps!
This is BEAUTIFUL! I’m so glad to see that accidental area that happened because it has happened to me, and I definitely got way too focused on that area without stepping back to look at the big picture! I definitely wish I had just let it go! I’m trying to teach myself to do that! Thank you for all you teach!
I’d like to see that piece that showed for a moment to the right of the screen. It looked like it was neutral tones , greys maybe with a floral type painting on it. Love this piece just finished. Like to do a wall like this.
As an artist my eye always looks for shapes in abstract form and I can not help noticing the face in this door....lol! Love Annie, I have a book she wrote on furniture painting before she had started her paint line.
Instead of using water, try adding paint to extender. Then apply the 2nd color all at once, them paper it off. This allows more open time and you don't have to worry about lines. Then repeat with the 3rd color.
Frottage, is the states is a term used referring to someone rubbing up against you in unwanted sexual manner. sexual to them anyway. People who engage in this practice are said to be rather serious perps.
It also means.... the practice of touching or rubbing against the clothed body of another person in a crowd as a means of obtaining sexual gratification.
Love how she whispers ‘Very Exciting’ just b4 starting in with the blue…I feel she’s my kindred spirit with her excitement over paint. 😊
I think this might be the most excited I've seen you in ages! Love this for you!
Aces! Annie is king!

Love your statement that “thinking is over rated”!!
Beautiful! Thanks for the demonstration.
I love this. Is there a 'formula' for choosing colours that go together? I'm hoping to end up with a muted green piece.
Hi Annie. What do you do about the print coming off
Hello, do you mean the print from the newspaper? It doesn't come off on the paint, but you could use any kind of paper if you were worried: a thick tissue paper would work, or brown wrapping paper. Something with absorbency. Hope this helps!

It happens! Just have to remember to step back and look at the whole piece
I love it
Love everything here. One question. Is there something to use instead of newspaper? Have not had one around here for quite sometime
Hello Maggie! A tissue paper with no wax coating works well, or any absorbent paper that you can wrinkle up and smooth out well.
i have rolls of brown craft paper.. i was thinking that might work..
My husband is in assisted living. He gets his paper delivery there now. I steal his newspapers when he is done!
I need to paint a dark piece of furniture cream first. Should I wax it (the cream base ) before I start the first layer of frottage?
Gorgeous. Did you wait for the first layer of wax to dry or just apply the blue immediately?
Good question
Interesting!
Luv it
Only in wood furniture?metal table?
Instead of using water, try adding paint to extender. Then apply the 2nd color all at once, them paper it off. This allows more open time and you don't have to worry about lines. Then repeat with the 3rd color.
Also...I was a decorative wall painter for 35 years...most techniques one uses on a wall can be applied to furniture.
I'd like to try this on an entire wall.
I wondered if the yellow base would be lost, but it does give a ghostly image to the pink
I have been doing this for years. Use a waded up paper or roll a rag.
Vorrei sentirlo in italiano grazie
Yikes! I was a bit shocked there! 😂
Frottage, is the states is a term used referring to someone rubbing up against you in unwanted sexual manner. sexual to them anyway. People who engage in this practice are said to be rather serious perps.
Your right, I had to google that!!
😍
Not to my liking, but internet technique. I want to try that one my next piece.
It also means.... the practice of touching or rubbing against the clothed body of another person in a crowd as a means of obtaining sexual gratification.
So this is the actual AS who sells quarts of chalk paint for $50 to stay at home housewives?
Door looks like it needs painted. Doesn’t really look “pretty good”!
