Full Example Solve (no skipped steps): ua-cam.com/video/1M9DE1WyzO4/v-deo.html
    *COMMON QUESTIONS*
Q: Why can't I do the last layer for 3x3 stage?
A: There are 3 common reasons:
    - if the yellow edges are not paired together already, you need to pair them in the edge pairing step before doing 3x3 stage. Watch the full example solve video to see me go through every edge.
    - if a yellow edge pair is flipped, (you get 1 or 3 yellow edges face up), do the OLL Parity algorithm (8:20).
    - if pieces are positioned in impossible ways (for example, just 2 corners or just 2 edges swapped in the end) then do the PLL Parity algorithm (9:06) once, which makes it solvable.
Q: Do I have to make the 3 white edges before the last 4 centers?
A: If you want to be fast eventually, you'll have to do the 3 white edges first since it's much faster this way. But otherwise, no it's not required.
    Q: I don't get it!
A: People often say this, but it is way too vague. I often reply to comments, but only if you have something specific to ask.

      @Andoryuuu 4 роки тому +2

@@Clwalker00 By "solve like a 3x3" he means solve it the way you would a normal 3x3 Rubik's cube, if you know how to solve a 3x3 you know how to solve a 4x4, if you don't know how to solve a 3x3 you should probably learn that before going for a 4x4. It's pretty simple once you understand, a lot of the harder stuff he does in this goes over my head.
I just use the basics and can solve most size cubes, I can do up to 5x5 but none of them I can do super fast, 44 seconds is my best time on a 3x3, about 3 minutes on a 4x4 and I haven't timed my 5x5 but I know it's super slow.
He has a lot of tutorial videos on how to solve different cubes, I suggest watching the beginner videos on 2x2 and 3x3 before trying to solve a 4x4 in under 10 minutes, learning the Parities of the 4x4 are by far the hardest part of learning the 4x4, so if you can master the rest of the solving, doing a 4x4 is a simple task, making the 5x5 even easier.

I'm not at ease with the edge pairing yet, I feel better inserting "F3L triplets" from disjoint pairs and the OLL parity is easier to solve on a disjoint pair of edges. The intuitive PLL on unpaired edges is quite long though...

    Edges: hard but still possible
    Parity: IM DONE

big facts. i’ve been trying to solve this shit for 2 hours and i just messed up. centers real easy. edges took a minute but got it. and now this parity shit got me f up. everywhere i go “ solve like a 3x3” so i go search it up and i’m not sure how to make the moves or how many times to spin. so, i go search “4x4 parity” and they start throwing these long as alg. like where tf do i go

Yo,you guys don't get it. 3x3 is the base for cubing. If you know 3x3 notation you get the basic notation for all cubes. Start by learning the 3x3 and then come back to this.

Edge pairing then solve like 3x3

Yeah, but there's parity, and doing the last edges ( L2E) needs a hard algorithm
