      Max has dominated so many records consistently, but the 3.47 from YuSheng Du really came at the right time to stop Max lol. Couldn't stop him for 5 years tho

      @@JPerm I 100% agree lol. When Max does pseudo slotting, it’s over. A world record is about to happen. I actually started cubing a little under a month ago after a 20 month break (1 year and 8 months) and I’m so happy I got back in time to see this WR. I used to average 11 now I average 12, for anyone who is wondering

I learn so much from you. You are the best cubing youtuber. I learn every algorithm I know from your channel and your website. Also, can you please add a way to put parentheses in the custom algorithm thing on your website? I learn algorithms by breaking them up to make it easier. I average 23 seconds btw.     Hey Jperm! I just wanna say thank you so much, you've taught me literally everything I know about cubing. I started with your beginner LBL video in May of 2022, and now I average sub-18 and can solve all of the WCA events except for 3x3-5x5 BLD and square-1. I originally started because of an old cubing video I saw and then proceeded to binge-watch your entire channel. Since then cubing has turned into my favorite hobby, and I couldn't have done it without you!

    When I started the record was 5.66 by Feliks in 2011. I still see Feliks as the best cuber in history, he was so dominant for so long, I will never see someone better than my Australian boy.

      For me to say Max is the greatest, I would lower the requirements on how dominant he has to be compare to Feliks, since it's a much harder time to dominate given how many more cubers there are. I don't know if he's there yet, but I think we may look back one day and say Max was the greatest or Feliks was the greatest! We'll see how it goes

      Best and greatest are two different things. Feliks is the greatest but Max is currently the best (if we don't count the 3.08)

      @@torandoescubing1980 the first wr in wca is 22.95 by minh thai, and the continental championships before(that were sort of like qualifiers) aren't in the wca, so no records are kept from there. i did find that jessica fridrich won hers with a 23, but nothing else

      @@JPerm Both of his sub-4 solves were fullstep. I watched the slo-mo and both times he made it to PLL at around 3 seconds flat. Give him a PLL skip (that he sees ahead of time) he'll get sub-3 some day I think.

    Hey jperm. I am your subscriber from India I recently bought a cube and this is my 4th day practicing since buying. By watching your videos I learned to solve it my personal best is of 4:50 minutes maybe the scrambe was in my favour.
    I keep watching your videos to learn cfop and my goal is to solve it in under 1 minute.

    When I started cubing in 2017 there was a new record seemingly every month. Took a while to get used to it stalling for so long! Really happy for Max to get it too, he definitely deserves it.

    I always thought Max has way more potential than he proved he has. While Feliks, tymon and Kevin were breaking records left and right, I always rooted for Max. I’m so happy for him !
