    Yum! That beef stroganoff in the Instant Pot cooks up fast and looked delicious! 🤤
    Here’s a handy tip about leftover canned tomato paste, just put the remaining into an ice cube tray and freeze. Once frozen pop the tomato paste cubes out and put into a ziploc freezer baggie in the freezer. Then next time you need tomato paste you just grab as many cubes as you need.☺️

      Great tip - thanks for sharing! I freeze lemon juice like that but haven't tried it with tomato paste.

    Thank you! My new Instant Pot Rio/Duo is being shipped to me now. This is the first recipe I am going to do. I always try to make this on the stove-top, but the beef is always where I can improve on with tenderness. :)

    Very nice and easy to understand video. Mise en place is a French culinary phrase which means “putting in place.” It refers to the setup before cooking and is often used in professional kitchen to organize ingredients and helps make preparation easier. You took the time to do this and it is a really good culinary approach to cooking.

    I have a steak in the freezer. Now I know how I'll use it. My husband isn't a big mushroom fan, so I'll use your tip. Thanks. Love your videos.

    You can also freeze unused tomato paste in an old ice cube tray, then put the frozen blocks in plastic bags and keep it in the freezer until needed.

    Just discovered your channel. Fantastic. I'm not even into cooking but I am a lazy ass millennial with too little time due to work ordering foods for, what seems, to be no reason. I bought a Ninja Multiu cooker 14 options whatever thing, becasue i wnated a machine to motivate me to do stuff home and i have not touched it since buying it. Same with my ninja umm like its a mixer shaker type of thing and i have got no idea how it works. Much appreciated. And you, the lady on the left, seem very happy to do what you do. If it isn't staged for YT, your character is so nice. I wish i were a person like that. I tend to be less expressive. :) Thanks!

    Looks lush!
    Try adding 2 tablespoons or so of brandy just before the broth. It makes the most amazing difference.

    This looks great! Like Barbara, I use my hands, but for the benefit of younger watchers, can I set you up with a question? Did you wash your hands well before handling other things to avoid cross contamination? I suspect you did without showing on camera. Thanks for this and all the other great recipes and videos! Y'all are the best!

      You're right - hand washing is super important and I am a frequent hand washer but always off camera. Thanks!!

    I adore beef stroganoff and this recipe looks easy and delicious. (I always add red wine to my sauce...I'm thinking after the slurry would be a good time to add it, right?)

      Red wine is a great addition. I like to deglaze the pan with the red wine after browning the beef.

    Interesting. I've never seen beef stroganoff w/ tomato in the sauce, it's always a full white sauce. I'm excited to try the method w/ my own recipe (having developed an issue w/ tomatoes as an adult, I'm now partial to white sauces anyway 😂).
    Thank tou so much for sharing! I have so many stove top recipes I'd like to convert for the Instant Pot - I kept mine sealed in the box for nearly 2 years before getting up the nerve to give it a go. Your channel had a lot to do w/ me dusting off the box for the first time! So thanks again! ❤

      Interesting, I never think of stroganoff as having a white sauce. So glad you got the courage to get it out of the box and use it! Here's a recipe you might like www.pressurecookingtoday.com/pressure-cooker-chicken-parmesan-meatballs/ with a white sauce. Have fun!

    After cooking lots of dishes in different size Instant Pots, I'm wondering what size you each would buy (6 or 8 quart) if you could only choose one?

    • @PressureCookingToday
      @PressureCookingToday  7 місяців тому

      We use the 6 quart on an almost daily basis. My 8 quart I only use when I have company coming.

    Could we cook the noodles right in the instant pot??

    • @PressureCookingToday
      @PressureCookingToday  9 місяців тому +1

      You could cook noodles after cooking the stroganoff. Just put it in a serving dish and cover it with foil while you cook the noodles. But the noodles would be overcooked if you tried to cook them at the same time. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/italian-pasta-salad/

    Wait there are people who wouldn't want to sautee the onions? How lazy is that?! LOL! The pressure cooker already reduces cook time significantly. Just an extra tip add some white wine to deglaze the pot and it adds some really extra flavor to your dish.
