    Xexe, David Bao. My cousin knows some good videos for basic Tai Chi and teaches regularly. I haven't been able to attend. I could feel I needed to warm up better when I started into this basic form. Your warm up is good exercise. I was motivated to exercise after discovering children need a lot of exercise ('1 hour a day'). This has been a great start for our family's day. I hope to practice this as a 'habit' daily because exercise is where I feel unbalanced. I could tell my left side needs more balance and my right elbow needs improvement having tendinitis. It takes work to balance that in the rest of my right arm. Thank you.

      Happy to know that this warm up exercise helped you. It does help reduce the pain felt (sciatica). Just keep practicing it regularly. The muscles will relax and lengthen, gradually getting the qi to flow.

    I'm just curious why the hand being left or right on top is important? I know it must be because I've seen it mentioned many times. Does it have to do with energy or is it tradition?

    • @davidbaoyh
      @davidbaoyh  7 років тому +2

      Its to do with energy flow. For men, left hand touches the body and right hand on top. For women, its the opposite.
