Years ago when most screws were Flat head or slotted they used to make a spring activated screw starter that would hold the screw to allow you to get it started even if the position was Vertical I bet one of those tools would be helpful for getting the new Orifice threaded into the Nobel they used to come in many sizes to accommodate all screws including a all plastic one that TV repairman used to help prevent shorting out the television sets when plugged in which many of those repairs were done with a TV on ! Most repairmen carried mirrors they propped up to watch the TV set while they worked on it from the back of the case removed
Wait… what is that little brass piece on the end of the clear hose that goes into the foam bottle? Mine doesn’t have that. Could that be why my cannon isn’t making foam?

Awesome happy to hear!!
I tried to swap out the orifice as Josh instructed and of course, the orifice stripped. Now, I have to buy a new unit. To say I am pissed is an understatement. I should have listened to my wife who said just leave it alone.
Just got this whole setup even the electric pressure washer from the depot wish me luck...I'm hyped up can't wait till the weekend to try it out
Awesome!!
Wow that's awesome.. btw what kind of pressure washer do you used i need a new one thanks
Does changing the orfice out make any changes to the water pressure or flow? How does a pressure washer with 1.2 gpm make that much foam on a 1.1 orfice?
Have you put in the screen? That coming with the kit? Makes it even better.
👍👍
Thank you for this video, I always wanted to k own how to get foam like that.
Do you rinse the car off first or do you foam the car dry? I’ve changed the orifice out and use the pink chemical guys like you suggested but it’s still just as watery on the car and not as thick. But I’m rinsing the car off prior.
Super helpful vid. I had no idea where that orafice went. Thx.
I am unable to remove the metal quick connection piece from the foam cannon, any advice? I tried using a wrench but not sure where to leverage using my other hand, as I don't want to break the plastic piece.
so how much pressure was your high pressure cleaner putting out
doesn't reduction of orofice just increase pressure at the nozzle
eg, can't you get same result by getting a better high pressure cleaner?
I replace my orifice from 1.25 to 1.1mm. By doing so the output of the pressure washer is pulsating. What did I do wrong? I’m using Bosch AQT 42-13 (130 bar). Please enlighten me. Thanks. Great video by the way.
Crazy how i just figured this out and ordered the 1.1 orifices and then boom this video! great advice bro thanks for sharing
Awesome glad it helped!!
I just finished replacing my orifice. I can’t wait to see how much thicker my foam will be!
Im confident youll be very happy!
My dad was a tv repair man for his whole career. I wonder if he has one haha
Sooo, you can just spray wash your vehicle and then rinse with water to get it clean without scrubbing at all? Nice and shining?
Big difference
👍
Wait… what is that little brass piece on the end of the clear hose that goes into the foam bottle? Mine doesn’t have that. Could that be why my cannon isn’t making foam?
I believe it's called a 1.1mm orifice, it limits the amount of pressure and increases foaming
Very detailed explanation 10/10
Thanks so much, been trying to solve this problem!
Thanks for the vid. You now have another newbie subscriber.
Great video and bought the product from your link. I have also heard that mixing distilled water instead of tap water helps with the foam as well.
I did a full comparison video on all of those things. You can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/mcpjbWMpnX4/v-deo.html
By far the one of the best, if not the best, video out there explaining what we all wanted to know. I have since purchased the same Ryobi and orifices. The one thing that was not clear, I am still learning, was the nozzle adapter a 40 degree one or something else? For rinsing only with water. I have read that a 40 degree nozzle is considered the ideal and safest one?? The gun of your choice seems to be legit with like five other adapters too!! Anyways, thank you for this video. Clear. Concise. To the point.
exactly... I use a 40 degree most of the time... Those are just extra nozzle and dont connect tot he foam cannon. The foam cannon itself you can adjust the spray pattern!
@@imjoshv Thank you!! The gun you have in the link goes to a black and smaller. Is the purple gun much bigger than the black one. Looking forward to a real wash this week with the 40 degree tip! Thank you for responding back..
Great video Josh, thanks.
I went and bought a set of the smaller bore 'orifice'. Great! I went to get the ptfe tape that came with my cannon only to find that there was one in the small seal bag that it came in. No biggie, just a note to the wise, check your own supply before you buy...lol
Can you please tell me if the orifices are all interchangeable with all foam cannons?? Great video. Thank you.
How would he know unless he tried ALL OF THEM?😂
