This was an absolutely fantastic video. Best I've seen so far on comparing foam cannons. Your channel has been invaluable for me the past couple months
There's a new quantum mechanical, electron spin controlling wand that will produce 17" of foam on a surface from a spray of 0.1 ounce of the Ivory Soap left over from your last shower. Only the lower 0.1mm of soap will touch the dirty surface, but it looks amazing.... It will only cost a couple of months of your mortgage payments and you'll feel great about it.
Solid tips! I stopped monkeying around with the cheaper foam cannons and got a MJJC. Honestly, my original cannon wasn't even cheap. It was one of the ones Chemical Guys included with a starter kit. On its own they charge like $70 for the thing, which I've realized is about $30 too much after using the MJJC.
@@imjoshv I'm actually watching your video about whether hose length affects psi as I write this. No surprises in the findings. What I'm wondering though, is if the 3/8" hose changed the gpm. Would be nice if a 3/8" hose upped the normal 1.2gpm to something closer to or above 2gpm.

If you have a Gas Pressure Washer rated at 3200 psi and 2.5 GPM, What orifice is needed for MJCC Foam Cannon Pro and using CG Mr Pink or Watermelon soap???
First of all, great job! Love the videos. I was wondering if doubling the foam filter would help with foam production, or will 2 filters actually fit in cheap foam cannon, asking for a friend 😊
The answer for my foam cannon is no, not enough room in the tube for 2 filters, idea ( extended tube to fit more filters )(diffusers) for more foam. But at some point, the product is as thick as it gets. Thanks again for the awesome videos. Without your videos, I probably would have just rented a pressure washer, now a proud owner of greenworks 2300 pro, ramp up is annoying but performance is good (house, fence, car) you helped me identify many applications, especially using foam cannon soft wash, the washer will not be collecting dust, and the 3 family cars are beautiful! 😊
You can also use ,go with all product in your form canon that way you can get the creamy shaving form you want one might say you be wasting product but changing the orifice could blow out your pressure washer motor so before you make the switch be 100% sure that your washer has the motor capacity to support a 1.1 orifice
Is the soap knob on the Canon turned up to full? Also, I got mr pink and it says 1 to 2 ounces of soap per bottle. Have you found more or less soap matters?
Hey great video I bought the premium foam filter but it seems that now the foam that produces is more runnier currently I use the mtm pf 22 I think maybe it needs to be more tight, does the foam cannon you sell in your site comes with the premium filter?
You should also test putting double 3.6gram stainless mesh filter in the nozzle.. i got a good result doing that mods without changing to smaller orifice.
I got the astrolal cannon looks lkke a copy of mjjc . put the 1.1 in it and used it with my craftsman cube and chemical guys soap i got about five years ago and it works great very happy with it . cannon was $22.
Great tip! Recommend using soap formulated for foam cannon for foam lifting of contaminants where standard wash soap is more formulated to be a safe cleaner with elements of lubricant to avoid marring. Also, switching the orifice is good when recommended (there are charts out there) but smaller orifices -can- cause harm to a pressure washer motor by creating resistance in the system which it is not designed to handle. That said, it is really unlikely it would cause harm but worth mentioning.
Great video as always! I'm in the market for a new foam cannon. Are you using the unbranded PRO MAX (from your website) or branded version (from Amazon) MJJC in this vid?

Wouldn't using soft water to the pressure washer be an enormous improvement? I know it makes laundry detergent suds a lot more in a washing machine. It should also greatly reduce water spotting too.
Absolutely. And deionized water even better. And you would get more life (more gallons usage) per deionization filer, if the water ran through a water softener first. You're getting the idea.
I have a trinova and adams foam cannon and I think it might be my pressure washer bc it turns on and off when I have it on since it has a diff pressure hose

Hello imjoshv. Is it safe to use a 0.9mm orifice for Lavor One 120? How about 1.0mm? I have very cheap local shampoos named Microtex and Pro-Choice about $6.65 for 2L and $1.62 for 1L respectively
I bought the foam, hose, pressure washer and foam cannon you recommended and my foam was still pretty runny what could be causing this I also tried increasing the product to water ratio still no real better performance
I bought the MTM pf22.2 foam canon, a ryobi pressure washer 1800 psi, I use the chemical guys mr Pink soap and I also installed the 1.1 mm orifice in the foam canon but still I don't get that thick foam, idk what I'm doing wrong 😅.
Can the psi of a pressure washer possibly affect how the foam release? I use a gas Generac 3100 psi with a foam cannon from chemical guys as well as the honey dew snow soap and I haven’t gotten the results as others when it comes to getting that foamy shaving cream.
Pretty much when the foam sliding off has slowed, but not quite stopped, it's time to rinse. In direct sun that could be 5ish minutes, in the shade or indoors could be more. There's not really a definitive answer to "how long" that I know of...but I'm not a professional. I'm just a guy whose driveway spends 90% of the day in direct South Florida sun with no access to shade.
I just recently bought the griots garage foam cannon, not the boss. And it has the metal ball at the end like the MJJC, but when not used it makes an orange rust like water in the bottle, have you seen that with the metallic ball at end of hose?
I used griots brilliant finish foam cannon for the first time last week; ran water through it before storing it. After reading your comment, I can confirm, my brilliant finish foam cannon has the same rust water in the bottle and on the metal ball. For reference, I own the griots BOSS foam cannon and have used it multiple times in the last 6 months of ownership. My BOSS foam cannon DOES NOT have any rust water.
Lol Damn JOSH you had to bring the "beast" the staple foam cannon for auto detailing. THE MJJC PRO p.s best purchase I ever made for foam cannon haven't looked back since

A 3000psi will be fine! The foam cannon comes with a 1.25 orifice installed so for the 3000psi I would leave it with the 1.25 and not swap in the 1.1
@@imjoshv Thank you
will using a 1.1 orifice increase amperage?
Wouldn't using soft water to the pressure washer be an enormous improvement? I know it makes laundry detergent suds a lot more in a washing machine. It should also greatly reduce water spotting too.
I use water from my water softener, does help quite a bit with effectiveness and avoiding hard water spots
Absolutely. And deionized water even better. And you would get more life (more gallons usage) per deionization filer, if the water ran through a water softener first. You're getting the idea.
I got a foam cannon from Lowes. It was about $30. My question is can I get those same upgrades for it or should I just get a different cannon???
Great video
I have a trinova and adams foam cannon and I think it might be my pressure washer bc it turns on and off when I have it on since it has a diff pressure hose
How much SH when you use a 10% do you put in a phone cannon?
How much oz where places in the cannons? Love the videos keep up the great content 👍
I found walmart has a 1.1mm orifice for .99 cents from wepro, do you think it would be decent or junk being just a little orifice
What soap:water ratio were you using for each soap?
I’ve been wondering this for a while I appreciate you doing a video on it! I’ve got the cheaper foam cannon and would like to upgrade but since I just do it for a hobby I think I’ll wait till this one breaks to invest in a nice one. I think my biggest complaint is the shape so it always lays on its side :P
I just used my mjjc washing my truck today, do you happen to sell the little red plugs on the top of the mjjc? Evidently I lost one of my red nipples today, I hate when that happens lol, I found them online but I’d rather support your website, thanks Josh 👍😁
What pressure washer was being used?
Hello imjoshv. Is it safe to use a 0.9mm orifice for Lavor One 120? How about 1.0mm? I have very cheap local shampoos named Microtex and Pro-Choice about $6.65 for 2L and $1.62 for 1L respectively
Does rainwater leave water spots?
What pressure washer did you use during the test?
Grate video... Really need some advice on why my tool daily foam Cannon was super runny :)
Yea there can be a few reasons but hopefully the video gave you a good plan!
I bought the foam, hose, pressure washer and foam cannon you recommended and my foam was still pretty runny what could be causing this I also tried increasing the product to water ratio still no real better performance
Which pressure washer are you using for this test?
I bought the MTM pf22.2 foam canon, a ryobi pressure washer 1800 psi, I use the chemical guys mr Pink soap and I also installed the 1.1 mm orifice in the foam canon but still I don't get that thick foam, idk what I'm doing wrong 😅.
Were you able to figure this out? I just bought the same setup.
Have you tried your foaming filter upgrade in an IK foamer!?
Can the psi of a pressure washer possibly affect how the foam release? I use a gas Generac 3100 psi with a foam cannon from chemical guys as well as the honey dew snow soap and I haven’t gotten the results as others when it comes to getting that foamy shaving cream.
Electric is better but gpm is what’s important
Where do you get orifices from?
How long do you leave your foam on the car before rinsing? Great tips and clips!
@@KlockoFett
Great answer sir!
@@RayNLA thank you sir! Lol
@@KlockoFett
You’re very welcome sir! 😝
For the best result leave it overnight and only rinse it the next afternoon..
Best advice
what hose do you use with this Ryobi?
What will happen if I use the twinkle star with the handle smaller filter smaller orifice and good soap
Hi
How do I get your foam canon MJJC??
I just recently bought the griots garage foam cannon, not the boss. And it has the metal ball at the end like the MJJC, but when not used it makes an orange rust like water in the bottle, have you seen that with the metallic ball at end of hose?
Interesting. No i have not seen that there, but i did see some on the interior components of the head unit on the griots boss.
What's the deal with the Explorer Limited in the background? I always see it in all your foaming videos.
There is a mesh filter type of thing blocking the orfice on my foam cannon, do you think I should just break through it?
No this part IS creating the foam ability. Overtime it gets clogged and you have to swap them out for new ones.
Have you tested Chemical Guys foam cannon and their Big Mouth one?
I have an idea for a possible future video, If its even possible to get foam using the sunjoe bucket pressure washer.
Lol Damn JOSH you had to bring the "beast" the staple foam cannon for auto detailing. THE MJJC PRO p.s best purchase I ever made for foam cannon haven't looked back since
What is the soap to water ratio?
Is there any downside to installing the 1.1 orifice on the mjjc pro cannon?
Hey Tobias,
If youre using a stronger pressure washer you dont need to switch it out. If your using an electric pressure washer between 1500-2300 psi and 1.1-1.3gpm then the 1.1 is the way to go! and no there is no downside
@@imjoshv that’s great, how about the piece on top that spins. What does that do?
@@Tobias-sb8pr that adjusts the amount of foam. I typically just crank my down all the way
I bought the foam filter upgrade and it worked! Thicker foam with less soap consumed. Great tip! 💯 I’m using Mr Gold and 4:1 water to soap.
It's usually it's 10 to 1 ratio, looks like you're using way too much soap but whatever works.
