Pretty much same setup but I'm using the RidgeWasher foam cannon. Its the sleeper of the foam cannons. I was fed up with all these crap foam cannons and was about to cough up the dough for an MJCC but on a whim decided to try one more cheap cannon. This Ridgewasher is putting out that thick foam from the Ryobi pressure washer all for only $20 and comes with a nice quality wash mit as well. I also couple that factory hose that comes with the Ryobi to the Uberflex hose which give me a total of 75ft of hose. This allows me to leave the Ryobi in the garage with the door shut without having to sacrifice any length of the 50ft Uberflex. This virtually makes that high pitch sound of an electric pressure washer completely silent. Totally makes the car wash process much more therapeutic.
I bought pressure washer about two months ago...didn't see the need to buy anything larger. I paired it with a McKillans foam cannon, quick connect kit, and a swivel handle. The Ryobi works just fine...plenty of foam, and so far not a single issue. I picked it up on sale at Home Depot for about $89 or so. But you will need an adapter (M14-22 male to M15-22 female) to hook up your hose and foam cannon...seems Ryobi uses an oddball size on the unit. Very pleased with my setup so far.
Hey man. Just to clarify. Are you saying that they changed the fittings on the Ryobi? Like your Ryobi is now different than the one I used in the video to demo the quick connects?
I did this exact setup and the ryobi kept surging. I had to use the long wand it came with to stop the surge. The short gun was the problem. Not sure why.
Make sure you run water through the system for a full 30 seconds before turning on the pressure washer. That will ensure the system has no air in it. Sounds like you have air in the system.
Fo you have links to the products. I need all of them. I just picked up a Sun Joe washer from Sams Club last week. I hate how stiff the hose is. Is this a better washer?
All of the links are in the video description and I also posted them in the FIRST comment. I think this is the best P. Washer for the price hands down.
Glad I ran across this. I bought my own house recently and picked up that same Ryobi pressure washer and hated the hose / wand it comes with especially using my foam cannon. Gonna pick up all these attachments and you made my search super easy.
@@AutoHeadz It's been way nice! Only thing I gotta figure out is a reel for the pressure washer hose since winding it up by hand sucks. Other than that it takes me 5 minutes to get going! I'll probably upgrade to an active pressure washer for more water output for my big truck. It likes to dry before I fully get finished hand washing if it's a sunny day. But having everything on quick connects makes life so much better.
I use this video Links to build my wall mounted pressure washer setup with the same pressure washer. Everything's been great. Surprisingly, the only failure point was the uberflex
@@AutoHeadz it swelled up and burst by connection point. I Did have it on a hose reel. just ordered a flexzilla hopefully it gives me better results on my hose reel
I'd recommending 3d nanopail super soap would be the best for new detailers. you can order them with a 3/4oz pump and only 1 pump is needed for a full 32oz foam cannon makes it so easy! Also that ryobi PW is always $50 for black friday
Such a nice and easy video for people starting with pressure washers and stuff. I’ll be getting this setup since I already checked online everything you suggested. Thanks a lot for this!

No problem man. I kind of feel bad. The price has gone up a bit since I first purchased mine. They are constantly selling out everywhere. Fantastic deal still though.
@@AutoHeadz i've been washing cars for a while week & the experience is truly magnificent. just night & day difference compared to using stock stuff. i'm looking forward to buying a 3mm orifice nozzles
Thank you so much for this video. It helps me a lot who is new for car washing at home. can you recommend right orifice size for this ryobi washer? for 40 degree. I am thinking 40 degree 4.0 orifice for safe use.
You’re the man! I was looking for a better way with my existing Ryobi power washer as opposed to investing in a newer option. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I took your advice and bought the Ryobi pressure washer and all the goodies you suggested. I used it today for the first time on my brand new Lexus IS350. 😊 it worked well! I got the version three of the foam cannon and found out that I don’t need to fill the bottle for such a small car. Other than that, it went well. Enjoy your videos!

I have the same kit and it's awesome that you did literally EVERYTHING the same. Flexzilla hose with quick releases - foam canon etc. What's your solution for the power cord? That's the one thing I dislike about it - the onboard storage strap is awful
I bought this set up and it works great!! Only issue is that my quick connects (specifically the female ends) get stuck after using my pressure washer to wash the car, any idea what cause this?
Interesting. Could be very hard water. I switched to stainless steel quick connects recently and I get a nice crisp disconnect every time now. I have hard water and noticed significant mineral build up on the QC’s.
I bought those same quick disconnects a couple of years back for my Ryobi pressure washer. They were leaky junk, returned them to Amazon after a single use.
I just purchased the griots foam cannon and really like everything available in your video. Will the griot foam cannon connect nicely like the one in the video? Thanks!
Maybe the self serve car washes by your house are better but I'm always fighting that damn hose. Between the boom getting stuck and the hose somehow ways getting stuck on my mirrors or tires I spend half my time fighting
So...with the foam cannon and the foam it leaves on the car...you do not use a wash mitt to run through the vehicle? Does it lift the dirt without agitation from a mitt?
Steps: 1. If paint is hot pre rinse with P. Washer to cool paint. If paint is not hot start with foam. 2. Foam entire car and let foam dwell for several minutes. 3. Rinse off foam 4. Foam again and go in for contact wash using two bucket method. (Scrub in straight lines do not swirl) 5. Rinse off car 6. Dry car with drying towel / spray with a detail spray while drying for best results (Always do wheels and tires first with separate washing pads/buckets/materials)
Did I miss something or did this video not include you installing the M22/14 fittings onto the pressure washer hose? Were they in the package you opened during the "Quick connects unboxing" ? By my count it should be * items.
Necesito saber si este enlace de los adaptadores es ideal ya que tengo la misma máquina y se supone que es 1/4 de la manguera pero la descripción de los adaptadores dice 3/4 es lo que no entiendo.
I would go with the Ryobi. Westinghouse has poor build quality and it’s a little unreliable on its numbers. The numbers it advertised has been shown to be quite a bit lower when tested.
@@Hamuraii really good I would not recommend leaving your job right away because the first couple of months can be tough. The best advice I can give is when you get the clients you enjoy working for try to get them to be a maintenance customer. The customers who pay well but give you a hard time or just not easy to deal with in my opinion are better as a one time service. Also make sure you take videos and pictures of every vehicle before you start and after you finish. I have had three people so far try to claim that I either cause damage or did not fix/clean what they asked for. All three of these people were proven wrong with my video I took before I started.
2:12 I didnt know Ryobi has no brass o/p pipe, this seems some copper/aluminum alloy with a brass coating low quality!!!! also at home we use the PW once or twice a week so it is always better to remove all water from the pump after any wash job. There is only one problem with the QC/QD fitted at o/p pipe side that all water wont go out of the M22 pipe because of the M22-15 QC/QD. So for home use its better to disconnect the QC/QD adapter from the PW and do a 2 second dry run so all water get out. You do this small thing and your PW will live longer
Great video. However, i should add that the quick connects are made of brass and the fittings for the hose look like they're aluminum. Bad idea as it will corrode once water is introduced. Better to get aluminum fittings for the hose.
Brass has worked fine for many yrs , it won’t be pretty sure, but I’ve had them forever, still got one from the 1990’s ,just changed the rubber rings..salt water tears them up,for sure, but if you clean and rinse it they are normally fine..I’ve seen both have issues too..
The reason you're running out of soap is because you're using too little water. Your foam looks like shaving cream. It's supposed to be thick, not solid. It needs water.
@yeahh_idk_ Ideally, you don't want it like shaving cream. You want it a little thick, but not so thick it just sits there or takes forever for the sheets to fall off. You want it to run a little so it pulls debris/etc. down.
I don’t know if you’ll see this but I need help. I bought the simoniz platinum 1800 psi pressure washer. I then bought the Uber flex hose which fits super nicely onto the machine although when running the water it’s crazy how much water leaks from the insert nozzle. I then tried buying a quick connect kit to hopefully fix this and it didn’t help. I don’t think it’s the machine itself because the original hose works just fine.
Wish I could show you my setup.. im using the exact same home depot pressure washer.. with a small short gun similar to yours.. but my ryobi pressure washer is now a wall setup. That mean i don't have to carry it and deal with 20 cords on the ground,, no more cord management.. because I added a wall reel and bought a 50’ flex hose to feed the reel.. now when i detail a car i just pull the hose.. do my stuff.. washing, foaming, rinsing and retract it back.. the only cord on the ground is the hose … nothing else.i also have a second reel for the garden hose next to it just in case i need the garden hose. And i added a reel for the air…. So my wall has 3 reels.. garden hose, pressure washer hose, air pressure. Oh i almost forgot , the electric reel.. that i use when doing DA compound around the car. So four reel on the wall.. and all my stuff are cheap stuff… nothing commercial grade except maybe my ghibli as5 vacuum.. haven't figured how to put the vacuum hose on a reel yet.. as for the ryobi pressure washer.. it does the job just fine for detailing cars
Thanks for the video. Saw the mass plates. Looking at getting the mjjc cannon. I have a sun joe pressure washer do you know what model i need to connect to that. I purchased the quick connects you linker in video. Im assuming the 1/4 inch connect mjjc will do?
Yes! You could certainly use this for both. With that being said. Doing something like a side walk would be more effective with a higher PSI gas powered machine.
I need to know if this link of the adapters is ideal since I have the same machine and it is supposed to be 1/4 of the hose but the description of the adapters says 3/4 is what I do not understand.
Calm down bro, and sorry. It's just that I have that Rioby machine and I need the short gun with the foam cannon since the hose that comes with the machine from the factory is very good, your video is very well explained but I see that you changed the factory hose for another one and that's why you put those adapters, so I don't know if putting those adapters is mandatory since I only want the short gun with the bottle.
I'm about to follow this set up but a bit concerned about some of the reviews on the Twinkle quick connects. Some of the reviews says this part is poorly manufactured and failed, shooting the hose 15 feet almost damaging the car. Another review said these only lasted a few usages until they strip, leaked and failed. Should I trust this product? Are there better quick connects? What's your experience with it so far? Thanks
Iv bought several of these twinkle brand kits and never had any issues at all. I’m willing to bet that the very few people that have issues are most likely not using the correct fittings for their pressure washer setup.
I'm not sure if you can help me ? But my pressure wash already has quick connect on the front, and I am trying to find a longer hose off Amazon. I just took a few photos if you need ?
Yeah man! Send them to autoheadzf150@gmail.com Please include the type of pressure washer you have and any other details and I’ll do my best to hook you up with some info.
+1 on the quick connects. The stock Ryobi screws are an absolute pain in the ass. It will rust and it will be a pain. Mine became impossible to remove and the hose was just permanently part of the washer.
I think he means the m22 threads coming off machine that hooks to factory hose. I bought an Uber flex & snapped my pump trying to get mine off lol. I’m looking at this small ryobi 1800 or the active 2.0 for my replacement
I have a Sun joe pressure washer I have to use an adapter for my Uber flex hose a m22-15 to m22-14 adapter do u think I’ll still be able to use quick connects
I see you didn't mention nozzle tips. But you did include a link for a set on amazing just concerned with what orifice size to select. What do you think?

Would this setup be ok for matt paint? Thanks for a great video!
Thank you. Yes. The soap is PH neutral. Just be gentle with washing. Nice plush mitt if making contact with paint.
Nice! But.... you forgot one more thing! Upgrading the tips to 3.0 orifice, you will get better GPM. I think is from 1.2 to 1.5 i dont remember well 👈
So...with the foam cannon and the foam it leaves on the car...you do not use a wash mitt to run through the vehicle? Does it lift the dirt without agitation from a mitt?
Steps:
1. If paint is hot pre rinse with P. Washer to cool paint. If paint is not hot start with foam.
2. Foam entire car and let foam dwell for several minutes.
3. Rinse off foam
4. Foam again and go in for contact wash using two bucket method. (Scrub in straight lines do not swirl)
5. Rinse off car
6. Dry car with drying towel / spray with a detail spray while drying for best results
(Always do wheels and tires first with separate washing pads/buckets/materials)
what hose would you recommend? the one I get from Home Depot breaks after a few weeks
These are sick. amzn.to/3CNAAhP
Does it swivel under pressure?
Yes it does.
How many oz of the soap do you add to the foam cannon? My consistency does not come out looking like yours
Use hot water and I use 4-6oz of foam soap.
Did I miss something or did this video not include you installing the M22/14 fittings onto the pressure washer hose? Were they in the package you opened during the "Quick connects unboxing" ? By my count it should be * items.
Thanks for the hose and quick connects info. Just got the Ryobi and very happy with it replacing a Sunjoe.
Enjoy it! 🤙🏻
Necesito saber si este enlace de los adaptadores es ideal ya que tengo la misma máquina y se supone que es 1/4 de la manguera pero la descripción de los adaptadores dice 3/4 es lo que no entiendo.
How do you compare this one to WESTINGHOUSE ePX3100v PSI 1.76 GPM?
Its also rated higher .
I would go with the Ryobi. Westinghouse has poor build quality and it’s a little unreliable on its numbers. The numbers it advertised has been shown to be quite a bit lower when tested.
Thank you for this video. Starting a mobile detailing business from scratch and this really helps.
Awesome man! Good luck. It’s a great way to get started. Thank you for the comment.
how’s the business going
@@Hamuraii really good I would not recommend leaving your job right away because the first couple of months can be tough. The best advice I can give is when you get the clients you enjoy working for try to get them to be a maintenance customer. The customers who pay well but give you a hard time or just not easy to deal with in my opinion are better as a one time service. Also make sure you take videos and pictures of every vehicle before you start and after you finish. I have had three people so far try to claim that I either cause damage or did not fix/clean what they asked for. All three of these people were proven wrong with my video I took before I started.
Got the same pressure washer a few years ago, it’s a beast for sure!
It’s amazing!
Can you use to clean sidewalks or is it not powerful enough
@@nics8040
Depends on what degree nozzle you use but, yes it can clean a sidewalk.
@@nics8040 Absolutely. It’s surprisingly powerful for the size.
Would these items work for a karcher 1700?
Yes they would.
Thank you for this vid! I was sweating putting together a kit. This made it easy!
My pleasure man. Enjoy it!!
The reason you're running out of soap is because you're using too little water. Your foam looks like shaving cream. It's supposed to be thick, not solid. It needs water.
more water as in dilution in the bottle or gpm of the pressure washer/water spiget pressure
Yeah, what he ☝🏼asked
We want it like shaving cream 🤡
Yup!
@yeahh_idk_ Ideally, you don't want it like shaving cream. You want it a little thick, but not so thick it just sits there or takes forever for the sheets to fall off. You want it to run a little so it pulls debris/etc. down.
my quick connects on my spray gun to my hose is so tight..is that because the connects are cheap or do i need to lube?
What swivel gun to uber hose connector do i need?
What is your mixture of soap to water in your foam cannon...Thx..
Thanks a million for this demonstration and very detailed parts descriptions! Your awesome!!!
Your awesome! Thanks!!
Wow! Sounds incredible!
Great video. I just went out and got a ryobi washer, thanks for the upload
Thanks! Enjoy it!
I bought that mckilians gun love it
Yeah man. It’s a beast. Big fan.
Any way to convert the 3/8 “ quick connect on the mckillans gun to 1/4” to fit my hose?
Thanks for the video. Saw the mass plates. Looking at getting the mjjc cannon. I have a sun joe pressure washer do you know what model i need to connect to that. I purchased the quick connects you linker in video. Im assuming the 1/4 inch connect mjjc will do?
Hi Sir if I use quick connect on my gun I ido not need the swivel gun right?
Hey! You would still need the swivel gun if you want that anti coil feature. Quick connects don’t stop the hoses from binding up.
Is this one good for both detailing and sidewalks?
Yes. 3/4 is the one you need.
@@AutoHeadz But I see that in your video you change the hose, could you put just the gun with the adapter without changing the hose?
I’m confused on what you are asking sorry.
The gun has a 1/4 quick connect for the foam cannon.
The hose is a 3/4 QC
Yeah man! Send them to autoheadzf150@gmail.com
Please include the type of pressure washer you have and any other details and I’ll do my best to hook you up with some info.
The brand is ozito. In Australia. I think they are owned by einhell
Do you have a Facebook account ?
I just found you on Facebook and sent them through
Best instructional videos in the business!
Is the ryobi 1800 a m22 14mm or 15mm I can’t find this info. I just got one today and I want to make sure I’m getting the right connections.
Yeah no problem man. I put the links in the video description and first comment that will bring you to the EXACT one seen in the video.
Is this pressure washer good for mobile detailing to a water tank? Would you need a water pump?
You can use this with a simple gravity fed set up. People use this for mobile car detailing very often.
I bought it all with your links! Great video!
Thank you sooooo much!
I appreciate you brother.
What quick disconnect kit is that?
I have two but I think I had the MacMillans SS kit. I put a link in the description I think.
@AutoHeadz Okay, thank you. I will be buying one🤝
I just ordered all the accessories as you pointed out. Thanks for all the help.
My pleasure! Thanks for the great comment. Let me know how you like it when you get it all setup.
Quick connects help eliminate cross threading.
+1 on the quick connects. The stock Ryobi screws are an absolute pain in the ass. It will rust and it will be a pain. Mine became impossible to remove and the hose was just permanently part of the washer.
Thanks for the heads up. What screws are you talking about?
I think he means the m22 threads coming off machine that hooks to factory hose. I bought an Uber flex & snapped my pump trying to get mine off lol. I’m looking at this small ryobi 1800 or the active 2.0 for my replacement
I have a Sun joe pressure washer I have to use an adapter for my Uber flex hose a m22-15 to m22-14 adapter do u think I’ll still be able to use quick connects
PTFE tape goes in the direction you tighten the thread. Otherwise it unravels as you tighten and can look really messy.
Yessssa yessss I know. To get the FPS I have to do this looking through my own camera so mistakes are made. Please don’t crucify me UA-cam.
Just got the whole set up is awesome
Excellent! You are gunna love it. Enjoy
Hey what is your water to soap ratio for the foam cannon? Thanks
I fill the reservoir with about 30 oz of water and then add 6oz of soap.
Use HOT water and the soap will mix perfectly giving you a great foam. Enjoy!
I see you didn't mention nozzle tips. But you did include a link for a set on amazing just concerned with what orifice size to select. What do you think?
The unit comes with 1.7 orifice nozzles. If you want more GPM I would use 2.5
i have a ryobi and im looking for a decent foam cannon but not too expensive, can you recomend one???😅
The one in the video is amazing. What’s your price range?
@@AutoHeadz like 50
@@AutoHeadz im just starting, more in the future i will buy a better one😁
Get this one amzn.to/47uiX4v and then put in a 1.1 mm orifice 👉🏻 amzn.to/3QZ5b2J
and you will be very happy.
Under 40 bucks.
@@AutoHeadz thank you so mush
What size orfice are you using on your 40 degree spray nozzle tip? I will be using my system in connection with a CR Spotless filter system.
2.5 Orifice. I think I put the link in the description. Very pleased with the performance.
@@AutoHeadz Thanks
Followed your recommendations it is really making detailing my new F-150 alot more fun........Thank you !!!!
Hahah! It’s a blast. Thank you and enjoy!
What do u think of harbor freight cheapest pressure washer
I haven’t treated it yet. How much is it?
$70 black friday weekend u should make a video about it. I just bought it it has better ratings than the ryobi on alot of detailers channels. Im trying to use ur conversions for it
@@AutoHeadz would be easier with a video hahaha
Purchased yesterday, my first electric pressure washer, super happy, the noise level is perfect, coming from gas power and it does the job, now with your recommendations, the Ryobi is on Steroids 😂 thanks for your excellent review and quality.
lol! It’s amazing what some quality accessories will do. Enjoy it!
What is your ratio of water to soap in your canons?
thank you so much. im truly grateful for this video. i just ordered the pressure washer, the quick connects, the foam cannon, the hose and the swivel gun.
Awesome man! You will love the setup. Let me know how you like it after you get it all going. Happy detailing!
