Yes it is! Love that song. And Thank you for the kind words! It’s a really fun part of the process, coming up with the concept that ties the research together with some creativity!
I was born in 1965. These videos are fun to watch. I learned about what was happening and the fashions. The music is fantastic! I look forward to more videos thanks!
Fab clip, thankfully I was 'all eyes & ears' during those wonderful times. If you missed it, even by 10 years, it was a whole chunk of lost discovery, ne'er regained. The ship had already sailed.... 😊
I really enjoy your videos! I was 3 yrs old in '65. I loved all these songs growing up. Listening to your channel gives me more context about what was going on at the time.
I was 8 in 1965...had my own transistor radio...always listened to WLS out of Chicago...and KSTT a local radio station in the Quad Cities (Moline IL /Davenport Iowa area) ...Good times...a great time to be a kid.
@@marthamack1544 All the best to you as well. Larry Lujack was one of my favorite WLS disc jockeys...I miss the more music and less propaganda format. I remember later in the 70s..being able to get KAAY out of Little Rock Arkansas on Saturday nights....a whole different genre of music . Have an awesome day.
Back in the days when the groups would actually play instruments and write songs with decent melodies; not just make a loud tuneless noise over which they say nothing with any real loving meaning or relevance. I use the word 'say' because they usually can't sing, properly anyway.
It depends when you grew up if its the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, or this decade I do prefer the sixties. Nothing like Lennon and McCartney or the stones Cheers have a great day
MBEs could be awarded for people who provided economic benefits to the UK, one going in 1956 to Jaguar founder William Lyons. As with the Beatles, he was a major exporter.
Simple fun time. It's weird we're conditioned to expect fakery in music and at "live" concerts now. I vote no at all costs. Imperfect human creativity at all times, please.
@william. There is certainly more "fakery" lately with all the technology in music production but there was quite a bit back in the 1960s as well. Plenty of albums had unnamed session musicians, overdubs, and edits. Lots of faked live performances on TV as well.
A loser? At least with Trump we had energy independence, and people could afford to live and eat and a border. People like are not human. Your countrymen are suffering and all you got is ad hom
I Can't Get No Satisfaction is one of the best songs ever. What an iconic open & great drums & vocal. Shines in Apocalypse Now & love the Devo cover.

Hello @davidellis5141. I Can't Can't No Satisfaction was the first song the Stones used distortion with guitar. The year I was born 1965😊

I would have a mouthful of bubble gum while reading thru my collection of comics and MAD magazine while listening to 'Downtown' on transistor radio.

@dl. Funny that what you are saying here about today's music is exactly what older people said back in the 1960s about the Beatles and the Stones.
Music of 1965 was a five-letter word; today it is a four-letter word
I was only 6yrs.young at the time and barely remember the JFK I think I was in the department store my mom p yeah on TV

Jackie DeShannon … not Del Shannon.

65 seemed like a dead year for music.
The Iconic MUSIC Scene of June nineteen ninety five is Impossible to find today. Everything you talk about applies to 1995

"I'm A Loser" - Joe Biden's Theme Song

I'm an old lying fascist. Donny's theme song.
Funny. Since republicants have lost every election since 2018

Joe is a lot more accomplished than you are! And even if YOU were a loser, Joe has enough class to not tell you so.
