Its unrealistic that Finland would not regain former territories and more of Karelia. They were a German ally in our timeline and would ally with Germany in this timeline as well.

World war 2 is basically one of the only wars in history where the winner were objectively better than the losers in terms of morality. The American concentration camps of the Japanese and the Kolkata famine etc. weren't nearly bad enough to give the German Concentration camps and the horrid Japanese treatment of China any run for their money.

Yeah my biggest problem with this video other than his suggested way for Germany to win the War was his portrayal of this alternate Cold War. It seemed like he didn’t have a firm understanding of the Geopolitics of Indochina and Latin America that made the Cold War what it was between the USSR and USA. Since things like the Vietnam War didn’t happen the cultural impact in the US would be huge, civil rights movement might have been delayed or did not happen altogether, no hippie culture and revolution in music, certainly more than just the lack of a few Vietnam war movies. He also failed to realise that the “communist” revolutions such as the one in Cuba was nationalist in nature as opposed to really being communist so they would have just gone to a different backer like fascist germany to achieve their goals and Germany would be happy to oblige because that’s how you wage a Cold War. Also I have no idea why he thinks China would be split into two, no matter how much money you give to generalissimo cash by cheque nothing short of all out total military intervention by the US in China would have saved his ass.(pretty sure that was the opinion of General Marshal). Could also have focused on the new fascist satellite states like France, cause it seems like he forgot about Free France completely and the numerous European monarchs that would have been displaced.
Fighting on too many fronts. Battle of Britain was a huge loss of aircraft for them, and if they’d used those resources, they could have beaten Russia. Also, Germany would be unable to sustain such a large territory, so Europe was pretty much it.
I can only imagine the American meltdown if Germany was so far ahead in missile tech, given how massive the panic was for the soviets who were barely ahead.
Problem is, German leadership simply did not have the mindset to organize large-scale scientific research usefully. Nazis are remembered as organizational masterminds, but the fact is they were mostly a mob of backstabbing mini-tyrants who spent most of their time fighting each other for political power and scheming for more loot. They also lacked the key group of scientists necessary to figure out that an atomic bomb was actually feasible. Mostly because they drove them all out in the 1930s! USA/UK had over a dozen Nobel-quality people working together. Germany had Werner Heisenberg, working basically alone, and who didn't really believe it was possible anyway. They also couldn't afford the industrial resources. People will point to the rockets and jets to argue against me, but the Manhattan project was about 2 orders of magnitude greater effort. Consider that the gaseous diffusion plant at Oak Ridge built in 1944 was the largest building in the world and it didn't significantly add to the bomb effort! The Y-12 plant that did most of the uranium separation was filled with enormous magnets, whose construction would have required so much copper for wire that it would have impacted the production of artillery shells... so instead they melted down the entire US silver reserve and turned it into magnet wire!!! The most realistic atomic weapons program for Germany would probably have been a heavy water reactor producing radiological weapons. But losing the heavy water plant in Norway wasn't actually much of a setback. (a) the "big shipment" that was sabotaged had something like 1/10th the D2O needed to start up a reactor. (b) that plant wasn't anywhere near the level of industrial cost of the Oak Ridge plants. Germany could have built a replacement somewhere more secure. They just didn't see the point given that it was just one of a dozen pie-in-the-sky projects being half-heartedly funded by various competing bureaucracies. Not to mention their lack of access to high-quality uranium ore. The only good source was Shinkolobwe in the Belgian Congo, and the Belgians managed to transfer all the processed ore to the USA in 1940.
While it is true that Germany have planned an invasion of Spain, it is likely that an Axis victory in the Mediterranean could persuade Spain to join without any fight.

As far as i remember spain offered to join germany but that was politely refused since a friendly neutral spain was regarded as more valuabel then having to support the badly equipped spanish army to defend their coastline, whitch would take additional troops out of the fight against the russians and western allies.

Japan was useless as an ally. In the real timeline, they let Lend-Lease aid go to the USSR unmolested because it would not be used against them. In return, the Soviets imprisoned US air crews who had to make emergency landings in Soviet territory.
This is one of the more, if not most, realistic Axis-Victory scenarios. It isn't too far fetched and the details from Women's rights to music. Speaking of, Music related sub-cultures would probably boom in countries like Germany, Sweden, the UK, Ireland etcetera. While they would most likely be punished and condemned heavily, Sub-Cultures, fashion and genres like Punk would probably either be much more popular and larger than they were IOT or non-existent because of the presumed notion that things like anti authoritarianism, Femenism, Progressivism, Socialism and all related/similar ideological standpoints would be heavily censored and kept out of the minds of the people. With such an Authoritarian regime all throughout Europe, it's not hard to imagine that nothing but Nazism and other related ideologies and subjects are the only ones taught in schools and from a young age, with other ideas and standpoints being prohibited from entering the Regime, though there is always someone who comes up with these ideas in the end, so it's not entirely implausible to say rebellious Sub-cultures and genres would exist, so much more than than our timeline.

One part I found unrealistic is both the use of multiple atomic bombs on Japan plus an invasion of the mainland. If two atomic bombs did the job of forcing a Japanese surrender in actual history it's unlikely 3.5 times as many atomic bombs would fail to accomplish this in the alternate history. However, overall, I really found this intriguing and well done.
Actually that made sense. One of the reasons for the Japanese surrender was the Soviet invasion of Manchuria and Sakhalin island. That was cited by Hirohito himself in the surrender announcement and that didn’t happen in this timeline.
Also it is likely if he did still want to surrender the august 14 coup could have had more support and succeeded. Interestingly, that plan had some parallels to operation Valkyrie but on a smaller scale

It is likely that it played a role, since the Soviet Union played kind of an independent mediator role between Japan and the US before, but to say that the real reason Japan surrendered was the Soviet Union is like saying that the real reason Germany lost WW2 was Italy.

I have never heard a more unrealistic version of an alternate WW2. So many alternatives just to get to the starting point (that the axis won). Ridiculous.
His scenarios for post war may seem more realistic, but his alt history for how they won is pure fantasy. He basically pretends American lend lease was never a thing. Which was largely the reason WHY Hitler declared war on the US after Pearl Harbor. The Russians seemed all but defeated. The Americans would be wrapped up in a war with Japan and they would now be free to attack US shipping of war materials to Britain and Russia. He literally says in the video "Germany doesn't declare war on the US because thats absurd". It was not an absurd thing to do strategically in the moment. Its only absurd in hindsight, because we know the Russians turned it around before an American soldier ever even engaged a German and the US managed to go from a 3rd rate military power to a Superpower capable of largely fighting the Pacific war on it's own while still field almost 2 million troops in Europe by the end of the war.

I found the Nuclear warheads section interesting, I think you haven't really considered that one fully. Britain actually had a really advanced nuclear programme prior to the US joining the war and while Ernest Rutherford was from New Zealand he worked all his adult life in the UK. Its also worth thinking of what happened in Germany with their wonder weapons, had the UK been isolated a wonder weapon would have been given much higher priority and even if it hadn't they wouldn't have merged the research in the US to be sure. Also interesting that you didn't want to touch Lehi with a bargepole.... while suggesting Iran and Iraq would be in full revolt. Also agree with other comments about Finland, I often ponder had the war ended with an Axis victory I'm sure a great deal more significance would have been placed into Finland's wartime contribution to the axis war effort, which following the start of the Cold War has been pretty much ignored.

1:46 - just a nitpick, but invading through the Caucasus is unrealistic. It's a massive mountain range, a natural barrier that's 1500 km wide, 5 km tall and 150 km thick. You can't just steamroll tank battalions across there like through the Central European plains. Good video overall!

Britain wouldn't have fought till 1944 in this alternate reality. Britain never wanted to fight the war in the first place, I reckon we would have thrown out Churchill rather than face the consequences. Also, Hitler liked the British Empire, it would do him no good to disband it.

About German being the primary language learnt in Europe. For this to happen Germany would've had to have a monopoly over the entertainment industry. This is the reason in my understanding why English is spoken frequently today the world over. That's a rather interesting take on alternate history comparable to that of HOI4 mods like the "Thousand Week Reich" and/or "The New Order: Last Days of Europe". @@ivan5595 to be fair, there is no way the war could've ended like this. Both the Allies and the Axis said that they would only accept unconditional surrender from the other side. If Britain and The Soviets never capitulated, Germany would've just kept attacking until they did and would've made them a fascist puppet of Germany. There's absolutely no way Hitler would've accepted the Soviets still being around after the war considering how much he hated both Slavs and Communists.
Technology wise, everything would be a bit more advanced. I could see a smartphone like device come out in the late 90s to mid 2000s. Map wise? It'd probably be very similar to the map shown in the video. Culture and entertainment wise? It'd probably be similar to what the video says. People like Justin Beiber, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars etc etc will all still be famous along with their songs. Rap will for sure still be popular so people like Snoop Dogg, Drake, Eminem etc will still be popular. Maybe Kanye West will be a bit more happier in this timeline. The Axis countries will probably take a bit of inspiration from western music but it will most likely still be it's own thing. All your video games and favorite movies will still exist. Overall as an American or even Japanese or Korean, it'd probably still be like it is in our world. The rest of the world however, probably not

Not an unrealistic scenario, except the advent of nuclear weapons and the ongoing war means that atomic bombs would have been used by the first of Soviet Union and Nazi Germany to get them in their posession.
The nationalists in China would not just gave up the Chinese civil war. As US may be hesitatant towards offering KMT support against the communists as they are they're in the same block in this timeline. Chang kai-shek would again turn to the Germans which would happily accept. Triggering a major regional war in this new Cold war, which may even cause further escalation.
The first realistic scenario about the Axis victory in World War II. I am Italian and I, like my family, still stand for it. That Mussolini was not a dictator but a great leader. Who woke up Italia and rekindled the nationalist flame in our hearts. Everyone knows the Tricolore Fiamme in the post-war period. The Italian fascists have nothing to do with Hitler and the Germans. We were allies, nothing more. Unfortunately, a lot of propaganda was carried out to destroy Italian fascism. Get to know the true history of Italian fascism and you will see that what was told about it is not the truth. Communism would definitely have lost its strength. And then the Axis war party at the time would be the “Eastern Bloc”. There will always be a culture clash between forms of government. That's human nature, unfortunately. But I hardly believe that both the Americans and the Axis would fight another war. Hitler got what he wanted. The Jews are expelled from Europe. That the European continent is united as one European family. Why should he go to America and southern Africa? Even though I have a bad opinion of Hitler and his Nazis, I still don't think he was that stupid. The Nazis were racist, yes. But the fascists don't, we focus on our culture, not on others. And the fascists make politics for their people, not for the others. It also strengthens the workers and nationalism. And gives an idea of how every person in a nation can stick together, free from egoism. That is the idea of fascism. Mussolini claimed to be the father of fascism. Italian fascism. Perhaps for some Westerners today it may be far too nationalist or too authoritarian. But, you don't have to like everything. As long as we can live together in peace. Finland would have been given back its pre-1938 land as well as more of Karelia, perhaps including the Kola peninsula. In the middle East Iraq, which had a pro-Axis revolt IOTL, would be given Syria, Lebanon and Transjordan to form United Arab Republic, which would be an Axis-aligned dictatorship. Armenia almost definitely wouldn't exist being subsumed into greater-Turkey + Azerbaijan. The Netherlands + Friesland would be annexed to the German Reich. Additionally, the USA would annex Greenland from Denmark. Nonetheless great video, quite plausible IMO.
I have to say this is pretty accurate to how it would be. Though I disagree about some of the cultural aspects, especially the music and hippie culture in the United States, though that could just be my ignorance on the subject. All in all, great video.
what if in 1890-1910 the big powers so Iran, China, Turkey, Saudi, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Russia and Germany had WW2 equipment, and 1910-1915 they had nuclear powers. Then WW1 happened, but no one used nuclear weapons. WW1 ends in 1925 with Axis victory, lots of internal conflict between countries ie Turkey(Neutral) vs Iraq(German Allies) vs Syria( French Allies) vs Kuwait+Egypt+Saudi (British allies) within the Ottoman empire. I cannot help but feel like this would be the most realistic version of an axis victory world, unlike all those hyper-dystopian scenarios usually presented.

The cold war would be short lived.

Yeah my biggest problem with this video other than his suggested way for Germany to win the War was his portrayal of this alternate Cold War. It seemed like he didn’t have a firm understanding of the Geopolitics of Indochina and Latin America that made the Cold War what it was between the USSR and USA. Since things like the Vietnam War didn’t happen the cultural impact in the US would be huge, civil rights movement might have been delayed or did not happen altogether, no hippie culture and revolution in music, certainly more than just the lack of a few Vietnam war movies. He also failed to realise that the “communist” revolutions such as the one in Cuba was nationalist in nature as opposed to really being communist so they would have just gone to a different backer like fascist germany to achieve their goals and Germany would be happy to oblige because that’s how you wage a Cold War. Also I have no idea why he thinks China would be split into two, no matter how much money you give to generalissimo cash by cheque nothing short of all out total military intervention by the US in China would have saved his ass.(pretty sure that was the opinion of General Marshal). Could also have focused on the new fascist satellite states like France, cause it seems like he forgot about Free France completely and the numerous European monarchs that would have been displaced.

Fighting on too many fronts. Battle of Britain was a huge loss of aircraft for them, and if they’d used those resources, they could have beaten Russia. Also, Germany would be unable to sustain such a large territory, so Europe was pretty much it.
I can only imagine the American meltdown if Germany was so far ahead in missile tech, given how massive the panic was for the soviets who were barely ahead.

Problem is, German leadership simply did not have the mindset to organize large-scale scientific research usefully. Nazis are remembered as organizational masterminds, but the fact is they were mostly a mob of backstabbing mini-tyrants who spent most of their time fighting each other for political power and scheming for more loot.
They also lacked the key group of scientists necessary to figure out that an atomic bomb was actually feasible. Mostly because they drove them all out in the 1930s! USA/UK had over a dozen Nobel-quality people working together. Germany had Werner Heisenberg, working basically alone, and who didn't really believe it was possible anyway.
They also couldn't afford the industrial resources. People will point to the rockets and jets to argue against me, but the Manhattan project was about 2 orders of magnitude greater effort.
Consider that the gaseous diffusion plant at Oak Ridge built in 1944 was the largest building in the world and it didn't significantly add to the bomb effort! The Y-12 plant that did most of the uranium separation was filled with enormous magnets, whose construction would have required so much copper for wire that it would have impacted the production of artillery shells... so instead they melted down the entire US silver reserve and turned it into magnet wire!!!
The most realistic atomic weapons program for Germany would probably have been a heavy water reactor producing radiological weapons. But losing the heavy water plant in Norway wasn't actually much of a setback. (a) the "big shipment" that was sabotaged had something like 1/10th the D2O needed to start up a reactor. (b) that plant wasn't anywhere near the level of industrial cost of the Oak Ridge plants. Germany could have built a replacement somewhere more secure. They just didn't see the point given that it was just one of a dozen pie-in-the-sky projects being half-heartedly funded by various competing bureaucracies. Not to mention their lack of access to high-quality uranium ore. The only good source was Shinkolobwe in the Belgian Congo, and the Belgians managed to transfer all the processed ore to the USA in 1940.

This is one of the more, if not most, realistic Axis-Victory scenarios. It isn't too far fetched and the details from Women's rights to music. Speaking of, Music related sub-cultures would probably boom in countries like Germany, Sweden, the UK, Ireland etcetera. While they would most likely be punished and condemned heavily, Sub-Cultures, fashion and genres like Punk would probably either be much more popular and larger than they were IOT or non-existent because of the presumed notion that things like anti authoritarianism, Femenism, Progressivism, Socialism and all related/similar ideological standpoints would be heavily censored and kept out of the minds of the people. With such an Authoritarian regime all throughout Europe, it's not hard to imagine that nothing but Nazism and other related ideologies and subjects are the only ones taught in schools and from a young age, with other ideas and standpoints being prohibited from entering the Regime, though there is always someone who comes up with these ideas in the end, so it's not entirely implausible to say rebellious Sub-cultures and genres would exist, so much more than than our timeline.

One part I found unrealistic is both the use of multiple atomic bombs on Japan plus an invasion of the mainland. If two atomic bombs did the job of forcing a Japanese surrender in actual history it's unlikely 3.5 times as many atomic bombs would fail to accomplish this in the alternate history. However, overall, I really found this intriguing and well done.
Actually that made sense. One of the reasons for the Japanese surrender was the Soviet invasion of Manchuria and Sakhalin island. That was cited by Hirohito himself in the surrender announcement and that didn’t happen in this timeline.
Also it is likely if he did still want to surrender the august 14 coup could have had more support and succeeded. Interestingly, that plan had some parallels to operation Valkyrie but on a smaller scale

I have never heard a more unrealistic version of an alternate WW2. So many alternatives just to get to the starting point (that the axis won). Ridiculous.
His scenarios for post war may seem more realistic, but his alt history for how they won is pure fantasy. He basically pretends American lend lease was never a thing. Which was largely the reason WHY Hitler declared war on the US after Pearl Harbor.
The Russians seemed all but defeated. The Americans would be wrapped up in a war with Japan and they would now be free to attack US shipping of war materials to Britain and Russia. He literally says in the video "Germany doesn't declare war on the US because thats absurd". It was not an absurd thing to do strategically in the moment. Its only absurd in hindsight, because we know the Russians turned it around before an American soldier ever even engaged a German and the US managed to go from a 3rd rate military power to a Superpower capable of largely fighting the Pacific war on it's own while still field almost 2 million troops in Europe by the end of the war.

I found the Nuclear warheads section interesting, I think you haven't really considered that one fully. Britain actually had a really advanced nuclear programme prior to the US joining the war and while Ernest Rutherford was from New Zealand he worked all his adult life in the UK. Its also worth thinking of what happened in Germany with their wonder weapons, had the UK been isolated a wonder weapon would have been given much higher priority and even if it hadn't they wouldn't have merged the research in the US to be sure.
Also interesting that you didn't want to touch Lehi with a bargepole.... while suggesting Iran and Iraq would be in full revolt. Also agree with other comments about Finland, I often ponder had the war ended with an Axis victory I'm sure a great deal more significance would have been placed into Finland's wartime contribution to the axis war effort, which following the start of the Cold War has been pretty much ignored.

1:46 - just a nitpick, but invading through the Caucasus is unrealistic. It's a massive mountain range, a natural barrier that's 1500 km wide, 5 km tall and 150 km thick. You can't just steamroll tank battalions across there like through the Central European plains. Good video overall!

This video is incredible. The scenario depicted is so realistic that I could see in my mind clear images of all that happening as if it was a parallel universe. The german hippie movement was definetely going to happen. You should expand this scenario further in time.

It would have defeated the British in North Africa , closed the Suez Canal , strengthened Italy and allowed Axis control of oil in Iraq and Iran. Britain wouldn't have fought till 1944 in this alternate reality. Britain never wanted to fight the war in the first place, I reckon we would have thrown out Churchill rather than face the consequences. Also, Hitler liked the British Empire, it would do him no good to disband it.
… and possibly the Fascists in Britain would have gained control… not to mention the very popular Nazi party in America, and the support of fascists there by nationalist Christian radicals( Father Coughlin comes to mind with his millions of followers on his popular radio show!) with already over 30 congressmen with contact to top NSDAP officials!! … If the US supported Germany, as so many wanted to, the question arises why Japan would attack the US?? they would have probably finished off China and the rest of Indochina.

About German being the primary language learnt in Europe. For this to happen Germany would've had to have a monopoly over the entertainment industry. This is the reason in my understanding why English is spoken frequently today the world over. Not only because it's a trade language, and because of colonialism, but in large because of the entertainment industry.

That's a rather interesting take on alternate history comparable to that of HOI4 mods like the "Thousand Week Reich" and/or "The New Order: Last Days of Europe". Of course a few inaccuracies with their reichkommissariat borders, but that's not important. But still, great "What If" scenario on a topic widely discussed in media
As fun as these mods are, they are made by certain individuals who wanted to make them to look as bad as possible.
@@ivan5595 to be fair, there is no way the war could've ended like this. Both the Allies and the Axis said that they would only accept unconditional surrender from the other side. If Britain and The Soviets never capitulated, Germany would've just kept attacking until they did and would've made them a fascist puppet of Germany. There's absolutely no way Hitler would've accepted the Soviets still being around after the war considering how much he hated both Slavs and Communists.

Technology wise, everything would be a bit more advanced. I could see a smartphone like device come out in the late 90s to mid 2000s. Map wise? It'd probably be very similar to the map shown in the video. Culture and entertainment wise? It'd probably be similar to what the video says. People like Justin Beiber, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars etc etc will all still be famous along with their songs. Rap will for sure still be popular so people like Snoop Dogg, Drake, Eminem etc will still be popular. Maybe Kanye West will be a bit more happier in this timeline. The Axis countries will probably take a bit of inspiration from western music but it will most likely still be it's own thing. All your video games and favorite movies will still exist. Overall as an American or even Japanese or Korean, it'd probably still be like it is in our world. The rest of the world however, probably not

Who woke up Italia and rekindled the nationalist flame in our hearts. Everyone knows the Tricolore Fiamme in the post-war period. The Italian fascists have nothing to do with Hitler and the Germans. We were allies, nothing more. Unfortunately, a lot of propaganda was carried out to destroy Italian fascism. Get to know the true history of Italian fascism and you will see that what was told about it is not the truth. Communism would definitely have lost its strength. And then the Axis war party at the time would be the “Eastern Bloc”. There will always be a culture clash between forms of government. That's human nature, unfortunately. But I hardly believe that both the Americans and the Axis would fight another war. Hitler got what he wanted. The Jews are expelled from Europe. That the European continent is united as one European family. Why should he go to America and southern Africa? Even though I have a bad opinion of Hitler and his Nazis, I still don't think he was that stupid. The Nazis were racist, yes. But the fascists don't, we focus on our culture, not on others. And the fascists make politics for their people, not for the others. It also strengthens the workers and nationalism. And gives an idea of how every person in a nation can stick together, free from egoism. That is the idea of fascism. Mussolini claimed to be the father of fascism. Italian fascism. Perhaps for some Westerners today it may be far too nationalist or too authoritarian. But, you don't have to like everything. As long as we can live together in peace. And no, I am not in favor of the Germans' actions. To protect myself. But the Allies were just as bad, they just don't get criticized because they were the victors. Viva L'Italia ⚫️🇮🇹

Finland would have been given back its pre-1938 land as well as more of Karelia, perhaps including the Kola peninsula. In the middle East Iraq, which had a pro-Axis revolt IOTL, would be given Syria, Lebanon and Transjordan to form United Arab Republic, which would be an Axis-aligned dictatorship. Armenia almost definitely wouldn't exist being subsumed into greater-Turkey + Azerbaijan. The Netherlands + Friesland would be annexed to the German Reich. Additionally, the USA would annex Greenland from Denmark.

WW1 ends in 1925 with Axis victory, lots of internal conflict between countries ie Turkey(Neutral) vs Iraq(German Allies) vs Syria( French Allies) vs Kuwait+Egypt+Saudi (British allies) within the Ottoman empire.
