You guys should actually play Kingdom come deliverance, its one of those games you have to experience fully before the sequel.
They did in a stream back in '18, drinking mead and basically did Skalitz and early Tannenberg* but idk I think that was it.

There is a rapid fire review for the first one
nah... it's so forgettable
@@supersuede6493 Yeah they clearly don't remember alot as they themselves mentioned sleeping and eating, which was in the original.

KCD is a freaking jewel of a game. its so intense. one of the best games of all time.
What's intense about it?
@@RikimaruLDR the whole atmosphere. the realness of the landscape and the fighting, the quests are exquisite! Sometimes funny as hell. the history in this game is well researched and on point (im german). making potions in this game its state of the art an accurrated.
its even the first game where the sleeping/eating stuff not tread on my nerves.
for me the whole game is the most immersive rpg of all time. even with its little charming "childhood illnesses"
@@GoaGoldhand Haha thats a good saying.
Sounds good! I'll see this game
@@RikimaruLDR the beginning can be a little bit a pain in the ass. it took me about 20 hours to get the mechanics...but after that 🔥🔥🔥
Ya it is man. Loved the first game. And I been waiting for the sequel. And they are sayin by the end of this year so that's awesome
Alex what do you mean it looks "good enough"? It looks great! I don't get this graphics obsession.
I also like how Alex says "it's not the next crysis" it's literally on an upgraded version of Cryengine 😅
@@NEZHEADSHOT Even these graphics are overkill for such a game like open world, GTA-like first-person RPG (Insanely complex RPG, actually). Every NPC has its own day rutine. Devs also said that they got too many NPCs in Kuttenberg and they didnt have enough beds for them so they had to edit them lil bit and made them households in the city outskirts. These details are insane. And the first game still looks beautiful when it comes to textures and models. The only thing that wasnt really good to me was animation of characters during the dialogues.
I agree, graphics haven't been all that important to me since God of War 3. Any better than that is just a bonus and not necessary. Quality of facial movement is way more important.
@@nebuloushammer8773 best game graphically to me is still red dead redemption 2, to me that is the peak! People really want real life graphics even though the best games atm are indie games with art style or some other hook beside graphics fidelity
@@NEZHEADSHOT It aint 2007 anymore, cry engine isn't putting the best visuals out.
KCD1 was one of my favorite RPGs of the past decade even with all of its flaws. It was always clear during my playthroughs that the devs had a larger vision for the game that they just couldn't make at the time, but with KCD2 it finally looks like they can make the game they wanted KCD1 to be. More than hyped to explore Bohemia with Henry again, just hoping that it comes out FINISHED and not a buggy mess like the first was at launch.
It is my favourite of all time. It was the most immersive game I have ever played and was my GotY in that year where we had GoW and RDR2. Glad I bought it a few months after launch and so was able to play without most of those early bugs.
And when the DLCs hit, I played it again om Hardcore Mode, and it was even more immersive. I love games set in the middle ages, and I was looking for a more realistic game without any of those fantasy stuff. KCD was like a dream come true. And now KCD 2 is probably gonna be that dream realized to its fullest potential hopefully. But even with all this hype, I am still gonna wait a few months just to be safe from any game-ruining bugs.
Fully agree! Technically it had some flaws but the game design, writing and presentation are phenomenal. I believe they can and will deliver a more polished game with their increase in resources
priest quest clean any other AAA rpg
Supposedly the game is "done" and they are just fixing bugs
I really like the first game but fighting multiple enemies (5 ppl) at once is so rage inducing. Hope they do something with the lock on mechanic or at least give us a companion other than mutt to aggro some of the enemies. 1v1 1v3 battles are peak tho.
I saw the trailer for this game and immediately went and downloaded the first game. I'm now 25 hours onto it, waiting for Kingdom Come 2.
If you haven't yet and you enjoy the immersion of the game, try playing it on Hardcore Mode. Makes it even more immersive.
@akmal94ibrahim I'd agree, but unfortunately, I'm so busy right now I'd think hardcore mode would break me. 😆
I finally played this game this year and absolutely fell in love with the detail. Hardcore mode is the only way to play this...I once got lost in the woods for 2 hours. It was the best gaming experience in years.
Yesss! Hardcore Mode makes this already very immersive game even more immersive.
I too got lost in the woods while hunting. The panic when I realized I haven't saved in almost an hour, no saviour schnapps, it is getting dark and I stupidly stored away my torch to make room for all the animal meat, running up and down the forest looking for some sort of a landmark that I can recognise from the map, and almost bumping into a bandit camp. It was the scariest gaming experience I had.
I remember a time I got lost in a forest running away from bandits after they knocked me off my horse, took a while to lose them and only just barely had enough time to bandage the wounds. Then it got dark, had no healing items and with just a sliver of health left I crouch walked in a straight line, couldn't see a damn thing with all the red jam covering half the screen either. I stumbled into a bandit camp, quietly smothered them all one by one in their sleep, and slept in their bed hoping I wouldn't get woken up with more bandits returning from a raid.
At one point while I was lost I kept hearing this real loud weird noise echoing around me, freaked me the hell out, found out days later it was one of the missing birds you can find from a side quest. That encounter felt like I was playing a horror game.
Nothing can compare to getting lost in the woods at night and then getting ambushed by bandits. One of the scariest, run for your life experiences ever
I played and completed it a week prior to the 2nd game being revealed... Great game.
Ya people complained about combat but I really enjoyed it might go back and finish it
Of course Joe is yelling over the entire section on the soundtrack....
Copyright is a bitch, huh.
The moment I decided to cut short a night in a tavern and leave at dawn after a short sleep to avoid a group of bandits, then found myself galloping in the middle of the fields among low hanging mist and the rising sun is a memory I will just keep as if I was there. KCD1 for me is that: memories of experiences I had lived, very similar to real ones. I remember more of the things I have done in that game than hours spent in others (which I actually liked) but which were never really mine. I can’t really wait for KCD2.
I know those feels mate
The moment I got lost in goddamn woods at night at hardcore difficulty, really struggling to make any sense of direction and thinking really hard about approaching any random bonfire... what a fucking memory, I was scared shitless! The fact that my last save was 2 hours old did (not) help :D
That graphics comment was just.... what games look better?
I always wonder what kind of games they think of? This clearly rivals RDR2. And no one can name me a single open world game with nature with better visuals than RDR2.
@@david53444 Overall sure, but i think Forestst in KCD1 was actually much nicer than RDR2 and mb night lighting, but forests 100%. Just my eyes mb.
Probably just cod kids trying to troll anygames they see because they thought cod is the best game.
@@david53444 RDR2 doesn't look better, it's actually pretty bad in a lot of things, like no physics, no ballistics....arrows there is just animation that arrow is going in some direction, but in reality, it goes always exactly to spot where you aim, there is no ballistics at all in RDR2. There are many other such WTF moments where you realize it was originally a console game that was ported to PC. KCD is true PC game with proper ballistics and physics and other such stuff. And personally, I find lightning and reflections in CryEngine much better.
@@Forloa I agree rdr2 was beautiful overall but many of the bush textures and trees looked quite bad compared to KCD if you looked close

Love seeing Crossbows, hopefully we'll get full polearm support too. (They had the reputation system 1, if you want to murder-hobo and steal; keep a main town 'safe' where you are a good citizen, that way you can buy and sell)
It's been confirmed that they have implemented propper polearm mechanics in the sequel. The fighting mechanics have also been refined, there's now 4 instead of 5 direction arrows, and you can only master strike if you are blocking from the same direction the opponent is striking from, this goes for the AI as well so combos are a much bigger part for the sequel.

I wonder how will they justify Henry being nerfed at the beginning of KCD2. By the end of the first game, you're basically a badass knight. I'm sure they wouldn't want him to be like that in 2 for people who may be playing for the first time.
They've said that in the first game Henry was fighting bandits, mercenaries and peasants. In this one he is fighting trained soldiers and knights. So while he was a capable warrior in the first game, now he is going into the big leagues. Like a high school basketball player who is thrown into the NBA.
The Witcher did it as well
My bet is the A Taste of Power TV Trope and then you get near-fatally injured in a cutscene.
@@raskolnikov6443Witcher is a bit different though, lore wise Geralt and all Witchers are not like invincible one man armies. much better than Skyrim when it comes to writing, quest design, immersion and gameplay mechanics imho
Skyrim is a really bad comparison tbh this isn't really fantasy rpg more historical rpg.
@8Paul7
It is more realistic but in no way is it more fun, immersive or better written than Skyrim. They even left out the main villain when the whole point of Henry’s quest was to get revenge.
@@irarelyupload6930he wasnt left out he just wasnt in it much. Because youre a peasant who hardly survived your first encounter with him and took weeks before you could get out of bed. You only survive because the girl brought help and he would wreck you if you ran into him again.
@@irarelyupload6930 It absolutely is all those things. And regarding villain, you also do not see Darth Vader get defeated in New Hope. So what? KCD1 is first game, KCD2 continues the story.

I literally started playing this due to that trailer a week ago. I'm 15 hours deep and love the game despite some basic flaws. The world and exploration is like no other. Great story for me to follow. It's like Braveheart the videogame set in the Czech Republic. Absolutely teeming with atmosphere of that old english style.
The first one I tried but kept getting killed by Cumans during the opening sequence since I couldn't figure out what path to take. However, I gave it a second shot a year or so later and played all the way through. The game is amazing and it brought of slew of interesting "realistic" game play and RPG elements. If the second one is half as good as the first, it will still be a success.
Kudos to the Fear Factory shirt Joe.
Honestly Kingdom Come Deliverece 1 was the game of thrones game I wish we got. The story is rich and character driven. Henry starts off as a blacksmith and becomes a Lord, there political roles and choices that changes how people see you. And the combat is very in depth and brutal. So underrated.
I just picked up the game on sale on steam. I would gladly pay the full price. I have not been this addicted to a game since first touching Witcher and ME series. I was always on the fence about the game when it first released. But it's so good and so many interesting missions that really test your resolve. It's a difficult curve to learn to play but it's worth it once you learn the basics. 😊
I never really got into it, but have liked it. After the trailer dropped I had to get back into it. Now I feel badass after sticking with it and getting better skills.
this will be fire...first of all it will have Kuttenberg (Kutna Hora) which was also a setting for Otome Senshou (Divci Valka) and then it will have the bohemian Switzerland...which is extremely gorgeous forest-mountains area...and I assume everything will be as in reality...we are still before Hus (?) so we will see the start of the Husite revolution...BUT Sigismund is still King of Hungary + "German Emperor" (simplifying it) and has aspiration for the Bohemian throne...so Cumans should be also back...TE GECI
This game will take place in our small hometown Kuttenberg / Kutná Hora :D
This is one of the reasons, why I am proud, I am from Czech Republic living near this locations. 🥰☺❤

Watch the dev vid. They mentioned it
Did he really complain about the graphics lmao Alex's opinions on things is just whiny baby and it never stops
Right?😅
You can definitely play different ways. In 1st one when I felt like it I dumped my plate armor in horse's saddlebags and went sneaky thru the night thru the bushes with only linen shirt or something like that, bare foot, only dagger or club in hand, light and quiet and so on. It was definitely doable in KCD1 so I assume it will be possible here as well.
I fucking love this game. Even do it was loaded with glitches I still come back and play it almost yearly.
Alex with the Men Without Hats ref
Alot of what they mentioned you could do in the first one and same with the survival aspects.
The gameplay snippets in this look better than the cutscenes ! Hyped !
Thank you for reacting to the full length announcement👍 Warhorse put in alot of work for this trailer. They actually went to the real Kuttenberg and had to get permission to scan everything to make the game as accurat me as possible.
Get up Henry...there's work to be done.
KCD1 is already a work of art, and they have only improved it over time. I can't wait for the sequel. I know the devs are going to put in the effort to make this game as amazing and better than the last game.
What I am most excited for is building your own village you can tell they were getting ready to expand upon it. From The Ashes is probably just the start of what they were working on.
I had such a blast with the first game. Most immersed I have EVER been in a medieval game. I did mod unlimited saves into it, but it's a diamond in the rough that anybody who loves games set in this time period HAS to try. The world is alive, the music is great, I LOVE the alchemy in this game and just the potion-mixing and its accompanying shenanigans are worth the price of admission. Crime in the game is f***ing hilarious.
My gosh, they can take as much time as they need on this title as long as it measures up to the first.
I loved KCD, the major issue was multi unit combat, the combat worked with duels but add anyone else and it broke down so hopefully they can flesh that out more. It also discouraged use of multiple weapon types since it took a while to level up in just one, I wanted to be able to switch to a mace if I'm fighting metal armor or sword/axe vs leather kinda stuff. Also the dog was dope I'm glad they are adding him to the main game.
Yeah I hated how it was near impossible to fight without locking onto an opponent and fighting 1v1. Surely with a greatsword or even bastard sword you could hit multiple enemies at once.
Yeah, hopefully that's fixed in this game only could use mace/Warhammer by the end of the game because it put all enemies in head-to-toe plate.
@@irarelyupload6930They should just remove the auto soft-lock on. Most of the problems stemmed from that. In almost all the playthroughs I have watched of this game, the players either don't realise that there is a separate hard-lock on which lets you change attack directions without losing the target, or don't know how to unlock the auto-lock on.

The first one is so damn hard but rewarding. I look forward to see what's next for Henry.
I was playing the first game on GeForce Now through Epic Games Launcher. When GFN decided to open a local server on my region and forced me to move to that server, I learnt that Kingdom Come Deliverance did not had cloud saves on EGL and I lost my saves. I stopped playing then as I did not want to start over and play like 20+ hours again.
After watching the trailer for KCD2, I started playing KCD again on Steam -thankfully I have a PC that can run it now-. I'm loving it, even though I had to play the same parts again, it still did not bore me at all. I suggest everyone to try it, it's a good game.
It s pretty fun and goofy, one really memorable mission was when i pretended to be part of the church to assassinate someone or steal something i can t remember
I never really gave the first game a chance. Medieval adventure games don't fascinate me as much as games set in the Victorian era or cyberpunk future hellscapes or even games set in the 40s. But I think I will make an exception for the first game since it does so many things in a fascinating way.
The first game was absolutely fantastic. It is not necessarily beginner friendly, but it is so freaking enjoyable. I am super excited for KCD2! To return as Henry instead of them expanding to a different character makes me happy as well. I am curious though how the "experience" from the first game will transfer over. Someone who was better with bows in KCD might want to stick with bows, or if it is going to be brought up to a point where Henry is proficient in everything. That would be a little downputting, but I am sure the game will still be a solid 8 or 9 out of 10.
What do you mean by beginner friendly?
@JohnGoetzGaming For example: if you want to read anything in the game, YOUR IN GAME CHARACTER has to learn to do so. So on and etc. It takes quite a while to get comfortable with the game.
@@JohnGoetzGaming Anyone who hasn't played a medieval sim type game will probably have a little bit of a hard time with the first game. It's a learning curve.

For Joe and fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance who aren't familiar with Czech history, Radzig Kobyla is an actual figure from our past. The game's portrayal of him draws inspiration from real events. In a nutshell, Radzig was sent as an emissary to Kuttenberg in 1416 to resolve matters with the church, faced betrayal. Local churchmen incited the townsfolk against him, leading to Radzig's ambush and murder at an inn where he was residing at the time. His body was gruesomely mutilated cut to multiple pieces and discarded in the streets, where it was trampled underfoot...
Whether it will be included in the storyline of the second part or not, this is ultimately how his life ended.
