@@BWTECH0521 yep! I absolutely love them. One is a project like yours, I wasn’t gonna do anything to it but your videos have definitely motivated me to just do it. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@The_Hyundai_Guy nah, the only thing going for mine is that it has no rust. Everything else is a basket case haha. Hopefully we can help each other out! Do you have insta?
Super cool! I went on a parts run earlier today, somehow never realized i didn’t have the aluminum dead pedal. I was literally in my car watching this, like “Oh i’m missing that screw too” 😂
Loving the series of the tib! I own a 2005 2.0L i4 and it has a couple of issues too so I love learning anything about this car even if I don't have that same issue (yet...)
And yes, his cluster only has the odometer and trip A/B counters; mine also has the trip computer which calculates estimated distance to empty tank, average speed and trip duration. The trip computer is kind of useless, anyway; mine goes from 540 km on a full tank to about 200 after accelerating to the highway, to whatever else.. I usually fuel up as soon as I can when the fuel gauge needle is below halfway. The fuel and temperature gauges are not very accurate. The automatics apparently don't have the trip computer as standard - the displays are the ones that come with the trip computer models, but I'm not sure if the actual chip is on the PCB. The auto cluster he's showing doesn't have the second button that controls the trip computer, so I'd assume it wasn't included.
I bought 2004 in near perfect condition earlier this month, but clutch was shot and there was a big hole in the exhaust flex pipe that caused check engine light. Othervise I love this car and I will cherish it for as much as possible. Those are not seen on the roads here in Czechia, like ever. Don't be discouraged by the state of your car, you only live once. Why drive a boring car, right?😊
Hello, have you thought about selling things every time you go to the junkyard? I need several things, but I don't live in the USA nor are there junkyards in my country
I would love to but my full time job and being a dad doesn't give me much time to go to the junkyard :(. There are plenty of websites where you can get used parts from. Check Etsy or Ebay!
Ah.. when you pointed out those three impact marks, that crack in the cluster actually starts to make sense. It's been pried open before. Shame on the seller. Shame on him for a thousand years. May he live in interesting times.
I refuse to spend another dime on engine-related parts because I'm 95% sure it's toast. Anyways, I removed the belt now and digging a bit deeper. If it turns out that the engine is saveable, then I will throw some money at it haha
Underrated, quality content buddy. Love the vibe! Greetings from Lithuania.
Hello! Thank you for the kind words 😁
I love this series already and can’t wait to watch it unfold. I have two Tibby’s, both 2006 SE’s and both 6 speeds. Excited to see the end result!
Thanks! Two of these in their best spec? That's fantastic!

@@The_Hyundai_Guy nice, go for it! It can't possibly be worse than mine haha!
@@BWTECH0521it’s pretty rough haha, it has rust and the paint isn’t great. Yours is pretty decent looking from what I’ve seen!

Lets make it better together!
Makes sense that the new gauge has that extra plug. Because that one has the trip computer where as yours only has the odo
I thought it was either that or the automatic gear indicator!
The extra connector is for the automatic gearbox indicators. He's got a manual, so it's got a different display.

투스카니 한국에서도 이제는 보기 힘든 자동차 입니다
미국서도 거의 없어요 ㅠㅠㅠ 다 관리 안하고 타는 똥차가 되버렸네요 ㅎㅎㅎ
Just buy a new tensioner... It's safer and you know for sure it's gonna work
