The rev trigger style safety is 100% there so that you can spin the thing without hitting yourself.
Who wouldn't want to spin it like a sheriff from those old Western movies. W gigachad moment.
They could've just done a regular switch instead of the weird trigger but it is cool.
Then just don’t prime it
Yea I bought this to shoot others not myself dont want negligent discharge on myself
Ive used both the mark 2 and 2.1 primed and loaded with the safety off and was able to spin it fine without it misfiring this is a non issue
I think the quick change cylinders area neat idea. You get the advantage of box magazines with rapid reloads when you need them but you can also reload your pistol while it's still hot if you need to
The nerf b3 wingman is real
no way he reinvented a speedloader
Against popular opinion, I actually kinda want this blaster; I'm no stranger to cracking my blasters open, and the fixes for this blaster's issues are fairly simple according to modders, so I could just cut out an afternoon to make it perform at its best.
That's absolutely cool that you can do that, too. I have the mechanical proficiency of a lump of wet clay.
I just wish you didn't have to open the thing up to have it function properly in the first place.
NotNuffNerf said it best in his review. The problem is not that it’s NOT fixable. The problem is that in principle, a blaster has no business being released if it has to be “ modded “ for it to reach base functionality.
@@foamtastic I'm obviously gonna have to look him up, that's nailing the problem perfectly.
@@Jackalblade9 the more you play with this blaster the less it skips, so it's actually user error on my blaster it was anyway, I was skipping a cylinder by pulling back too far, mine works perfect now, on every prime. What's funny is just 2 years ago the Nexus and Aeon were released by Dart Zone and all the Nerf community were praising Dart Zone, now they make something maybe not quite so perfect but MILES ahead of what Nerf is doing still and to buy a blaster off the shelf shooting 150 fps is still amazing!! I think Nerf Community is too elitist at times!
@@allencarey7336 nah we hate elite 😤
Hey coop, out of curiousity, do you plan on ever doing another 430 dart challenge despite pretty much nothing can defeat the jupiter with the proton pack?
Just make a 430 dart shotgun lmao
@@happylittletrees8130 Can you imagine a freakin 430 elite dart shotgun?! Good luck dodging that! XD
@@PurplSkater lol yea its called being a game dev freaking watch me do this shiz
"parry this, you filthy casual!"
@@saintwifwaffle The only way a 430 dart shotgun would be possible is with hyper rounds lol
Coop is one of the few reviewers we can actually trust. Thanks for the review!
3:10 Coops inner modder flinched when he dry fired that
Loved that he threw in a Black Hawk Down reference right there for the safety mechanism, gave me a good chuckle. “Well, this is my safety, sir.”
Man adventure force really making cooler and cooler designs. Sucks to see some reliability issues but I'm sure they'll be addressed soon.
Coop is the man, I wish my friends still Nerfed, I used to mod all their guns. Good times
430 DART CHALLENGE USING THE UPPERCUT!
Also the Deuce Pro hiccup is due to a weak spring that rotates the barrels, you'll want a stronger spring for it to work properly, or more properly.
@@OutOfIdeas9977 hear me out, zip tie 430 Uppercuts together and slam them at the same time.
@@OutOfIdeas9977 There is Goodwill
I've always loved how concise and informative your videos are. Great job!
I hope Dart Zone releases a fully automatic magazine fed blaster, sort of like a rapidstrike, with performance that matches the Spectrum and the Villinator and has a price tag of about 50$, a blaster like that would be cool (yes I know you can buy a Vulcanator but I would prefer a traditional rifle feel)
MK3
Same here.
@@austinkoeppen6122 a bit cheaper and performance that matches Spectrum/Villinator
DZP mkiii
The Dart Zone MK3 is essentially what you just described.
In my experience the feeding issue is because the cylinder rotates at the very end of the prime, there’s a centimeter or two at the very back of the prime that is dedicated to the cylinder rotation, and the mechanism doesn’t always like to actually work. Sometimes the mechanism would skip a dart, sometimes it wouldn’t rotate the cylinder at all. If you are very delicate with the prime you can very easily make sure everything works as intended, however it makes the whole blaster much less entertaining. I’ve had very similar experiences with the DZM tomcat so buyers beware, I’m now out over 100 dollars in blasters that don’t really work because their cylinder rotations don’t function as intended
There is an easy fix for the problem with the deuce pro just replace the little spring that operates the rotation mechanism with a stronger spring or just double it up.
@@galaga8779 That is somewhat of an improvement but doesn't totally fix it. Possibly reshaping or recreating a new mech to prevent over rotation would be the ideal solution.
@@galaga8779 one of the biggest things that is overlooked when it comes to issues with off the shelf blasters is that on top of the $40 that you are already spending on the blaster itself, you are also expending the time to figure out a fix, spend another 10 ish dollars trying to fix the issues, obviously dependent on what you do, and there is still a potential that it won’t work so you end up with a trial/error process for a 6 shot cylinder blaster. However my biggest issue is that in my opinion DZP, AFP, and DZM blasters are all entrance blasters to the hobby, so you should expect to buy these blasters fully functional out of the box that you shouldn’t have to mess with in order for them to work properly.
@@williamadams5081 ok
@@galaga8779 bro, you really hit em with the ok...
good to see you back coop, we missed you!
Man, those rotation issues turned me off. Dart Zone had built up so much hype this year and it's small issues like these that make me doubt getting a 2022 DZ blaster.
The existing pro blasters from DZ are great. I was frankly waiting for their first real lemon... you can't get them *all* right. There had to be a failure somewhere.
@@TheActionBastard Literally all of the new releases but the Mk 2.1 was a flop lol
@@OutOfIdeas9977 The MK2.1 is a sidegrade to the MK2: it's more powerful and uses removable mags, but it's much bigger and kinda clunky. I'd use a MK2 as a true sidearm and a MK2.1 as a blaster that's pulled out more often.
@@OutOfIdeas9977 What do you mean it is somewhat better? The magazine release is awful and the price is doubled of the Mk2's. What am I getting for an extra $50 in cost? 3 magazines that I have to buy more? An awful ergonomic button placement? It's a sidegrade compared to the Mk2.
Source: I own a Mk 2.1 and it's mediocre at best. The $100 vs the $50 of the Mk2 isn't justifiable and you are literally just out there defending Dart Zone's egregious flaws.
such a small issue vs Hasbro nerf guns imo
Whoa - I don't want you to miss out on the key use of this new thigh mounted beast COOP - it is a supreme tertiary half dart shotgun - just avoid ember darts which easily slip out of the barrel after muzzle loading just like that load slot in the cylinder. Those MAX ruby half darts are best for staying in place and adding a few extras in the muzzle of long barrel will reveal how fantastic this tactically placed pistol can fend off one or several closer range opponents very easily in just shot or two.
Love you Bruv you’re a legend! I’d like to share a fun fact I discovered about the Deuce Pro. You can fit aftermarket scar barrels that fit the Nexus/Aeon to the Deuce Pro but not the barrel extension, it friction fits to the Deuce. It looks cool and you still get acceleration under compression. I’m using a scar barrel attachment from AC Foam works that works great.
I saw and ad for this and it's funny how coop Is doing a review for it minutes later...cool
I have no idea why compression barrels aren't the norm on all blasters, as they're almost always faster more accurate and than blasters with a faux barrel.
I’ve been gone for a while. You lookin hella majestic my man
Intro never gets old brother:)
Keep it up coop
Love the hair! Never get a haircut, you have been blessed to be able to grow hair so beautiful!
4:44 why I love this channel
The only thing I haven't enjoyed about Adventure Force designs is that they have to be primed in order to load. I want to leave rounds in the blaster while in storage without leaving the springs compressed...
That's not good for the darts. Over time they develop compression memory and will no longer fire well. If you dont care and still want to (your life, live it however) then you could opt for the DZ Pro series walmart carries. They all feature a mag hold if you push it in only about halfway it will click and stay. Mind you, this is the pro series that use the stick mags from an adapter.
Take it apart, remove the prime locks, de-prime the blaster by holding the prime area/implement, then hold the trigger and gently guide the things back into position
I think you would need a "skinny pusher" to allow the mag to load with the dart pusher forward. However I just loaded a talon mag into my Aeon without priming the spring, hold back the slide partway without getting to the catch, the mag can be loaded. You can hold down the first dart in the mag and let the slide forward slowly. It is now ready to be primed and shoot.
Another excellent review sir! I have never heard of this brand, but I may need to check it out.
I am hoping to see a v2.0 for this. And knowing Adventure Force's reputation, I am sure they'll come up with significant improvements
Happy to tell you that the Dart Zone Max outlaw just got released, though it doesn't come with a holster.
8:55 AH THAT SOUND!! It sounds so satisfying
Nothin better than watching Coop shoot nerf guns on Saturday morning 😁💯😎

Thanks for the review coop, I really wanted to purchase this revolver. After seeing your review and some of the issues you had makes me think I'll pass on this one. Thanks!
CHA-CHING. A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY EARNED!
By far the coolest blaster imo it'd be cool if someone made a CGI version of this and made reload animations with it
love your videos man
I just rewatched Black Hawk Down recently so seeing that clip was great to see again.
New coop video yay
I bought one a couple weeks ago, and it seems like a few of the problems have been fixed. Dart retention in the cylinders was much better and it seems harder to make it skip a dart than the one that I played with a few months ago, but I can definitely still make it. I did silly's fix for it and it seems to operate completely normal now. I can only get it to skip if I REALLY jerk the slide hard.
Aww yea anotha coop772 video wooo
Im from Singapore and I got a Dart Zone Deuce Pro from Malaysia. Although I agree that the cylinder rotation can be annoying at times. I am fine with the safety but I have no problem with the cylinder dart fit. I am really unsure whats wrong but my darts fit really well in the cylinder and some of my bigger complaints are the cylinder being too tight in the gun and the barrel being really hard to take out. Really enjoyed this video and also the blaster
Epic beard dude 👌
This blaster would be perfect for my type of game play. It can shoot soft or hard depending on if you use the barrel. Me and my friends tend to play indoors and occasionally outdoors.
Nice! Another video
Great vid :)
in terms of aesthetic it's a 10 and the accessories are cool too
I'm low-key tempted to buy one despite the performance issues just because I like how it looks. modding might help too
I like the look of this. The lanyard looks like a ring hammer, which is rare but have appeared on Ruger revolvers.
I can think of a reason the cylinder holster is orange: it might look to real steel otherwise. If you have dartzone ruby darts in there, I could easily see it being mistaken for a legitimate revolver cylinder otherwise. The actual blaster holster can be gray because the blaster itself is a pretty hi-visiblity orange.
I actually thought of buying that, but after seeing the performance I changed my mind, thanks
nice video coop!
@coop772 thank you so much!
I'm just going to get this for cosplay. Paint it to look like a real gun and bam perfect for your cyberpunk cosplay!

ty for the dart zone stuff
Hi love the videos
I actually really wanted this to be a good blaster, I'm really rooting for Dart Zone to go internationally with the pro line and just generally beating nerf in the blaster market. Cmon Dart Zone!
He's rocking an awesome beard now
Lovin the beard
Looking forward to your Mk1.2 review
I think the qc of this is hot or miss, hearing alot of complaints of the fit of the cylinders, however my personal one out of box holds the darts perfectly I've held and violently shook them upside down and nothing fell out.
I really wish the cylinder didn't just pop out. For me, Dart Zone should've done a middle ground between this Deuce Pro and the Nerf Strongarm. We are so close to getting a mechanism similar to the Ace of Spades (from Destiny 2) or any of the Borderlands revolvers: a cylinder that is attached, but still has the ability to speedload.
Something off topic before I start speaking about the blaster: is there any way to change the scenery on the firing demo to just make darts more visible? Especially with these high powered blasters, sometime's I can't even see the darts falling down after they've hit the door and I barely get an idea of how it is like to shoot it.
Pros:
1) Really cool looking revolver, especially with the barrel on. But even without the barrel it still looks very nice.
2) Removable cylinders help tremendously with reload speed.
3) Really good gear alongside it.
4) The sling mount on the priming handle is in a perfect spot to mount something that can help prime this thing, either on your arm or your body (e.g. shoulder), which could help for prolonged useage.
Cons:
1) Inconsistent firing, especially without the barrel.
2) Loose cylinder connection.
3) Loose dart fits. Like, what? Is it so difficult to make a hole in the diameter of your darts?
4) Why do we need a safety on a dart blaster?
5) That smooth bottom rail on the barrel makes me cringe too much.
Cons outweigh the pros.
I already have plans to mod mine to have an n-strike barrel lug. For some reason, i think this would look hilarious with a longstrike barrel
So to help with the cylinder skipping a chamber. I took the spring towards the back of the blaster that releases the catch to the plunger and double spring the mechanism that stops the cylinder spinning once primed. I replaced the spring i took with a spring from a clicky ink pen...
Inversly you can take the inkpen spring and replace the spring for the mechanism that stops the cylinder spinng but its such a tight fit the speing you get might not fit.
WOAH that looks pretty freakin’ cool
"My safety Sir" LOL
Everyone else: Wow, this gun is cool!
Me: *COOP HAS A BEARD NOW????!!!!*
Hey coop please could you do an x shot regenerator review? Love the videos!
Coop - Dart Zone Max ruby darts fit more snugly and seem more accurate than included ember stock darts - as for single shot - fine, but best as a shotty if you know how to overload it.
Now THIS is one I need available in europe ASAP.
Are you pushing the darts in to flush with the front of the cylinder, or a little more, so that the darts’ rear ends engage the white tabs at the back of the cylinder? My own darts fit snugly, but engaging those tabs should help to keep anything on a looser fit from falling out.
Might actually cop one of these after I get the dents pulled out of my car
id be much more interested in this one if they went full cowboy and had gave it a priming hammer similar to the hammer shot, i have a modded one with a heavier spring and having a blaster like that but with the removable cylinder would be a dream
Thanks for the review, I was on the fence with this one but now it's a hard no.
I NEED THIS
I bought this from Walmart and had none of the problems coop had dart zone probably fix all the issues. Mine doesn’t skip and the dart fitment is good and it doesn’t fall out when shaken
Coop must have some good pull out game.
Man, it looks so cool, I was hoping it would have a better review. Oh well, the wait continues for a good ‘Wild west’ six-shooter dart gun
Coop do you keep the darts on the floor so you don't have to clean then up or do you clean up after finishing (gigidy)?
I clean up when I'm done for the day :)
Is your door dented after all the years of shooting at it with high powered blasters I would like to see a short on this
I think “safety’s” are require on toy blasters that exceed a certain energy threshold. I don’t know if that is a USA stipulation or something international, that’s why rival blasters all have safety’s.
Coop really grew a beard now.
For the deuce pro, the cylinder rotates on the back end of the priming motion but if you prime the back end of the slide too hard or too quickly, you’ll skip a round. You have to have a much slower and careful priming motion. It takes a little more practice and attention but you won’t skip a round that way
Also imo the point of having the barrel off is so you can actually sorta use it indoors…?
Also imo the trigger safety hate is a bit overblown. It’s unnecessary for sure but it’s not uncomfortable for me
Also, if you upgrade the indexing wedge spring it helps a lot with preventing overrotation. It should have come with a stronger spring to begin with, but I bought mine knowing full well it would need the fix, and it was worth it to me. The fix worked well enough that I bought a second one for my son and did the same spring swap.
@@FortyTwoBlades where did you get the indexing wedge spring if I may ask?
@@loganmarino948 just about any clicky pen spring should work, just make sure its stronger than the stock spring
i actually find that i depress the safety by default when im using the Deuce, so i have no idea what Coop is complaining about, but that could just be me, as i tend to prefer to have the safety on my higher powered blasters
Oh my goodness I love orange guns.
Judging after how many rounds are down on the hallway, he clearly thoroughly tested it
Looks like a decent blaster I'd find some fun with it
If you’re comfortable with cracking it open, you can rip out the whole safety mechanism without affecting the rest of the blaster
Imo the quick-change cylinder thing is what hampers the blaster. The way it charges requires a lot of precision, and constantly swapping in and out cylinders will cause it to eventually misalign and jam up. If they kept the cylinder fixed, it would have been easier to design well-aligned one.
"...cos it's all about the style points with a revolver..."
I totally agree, but I vastly prefer this blaster's look when it's snub-nosed. It just reminds me of the Wingman Elite in Titanfall 2, and therefore it's so disappointing for me personally that the blaster is so much better in long barrel form.
Mingwan gang
Texas Red would be disappointed in you.
Hey coop, could you do a video of you doing a dart sweet/clean up after doing a block load of reviews, funny taking the mick or more serious I don't mind. You had a hallway full floor covered in darts and I'd be really interested to see you methods for cleaning up. Also I think you could do a good stereotypes video of the guy who shoots all the darts but then doesn't dart sweep or leaves 10/15mins early so they don't have to
Coop where do you get all those dart zone pro blasters?
I'm kind of wondering if you wound up with a lemon from the Run. I have one and have literally shot hundreds of darts at this point through it. I've never had a misfire. So I'm not sure what is going on with the one that you have also I did Rip mine open and disable the safety because well just because. I like it a lot though
So you could make a pump grip kit for this blaster with the bottom rail to be a slide for it.
Looking good coop. But man, dart zone really crapped the bed with thier latest stuff huh? The only thing I haven't heard complaints about is the mark 2.1 pistol
magazine master race oh yeah!!
Oo saw it while online and looking for some foam flinging fun 😅
Thank you for Requesting The Video
Just Like a Strongarm With a Removable Cylinder Mod From Past
This one's pretty. It's too bad about the unreliability though, the 3 things I care about in a blaster are aesthetics, reliability, and ergonomics. I can only tell if it's ergonomic if I hold it, so if it does not nail the other 2, I won't buy it.
Who am I kidding, I haven't bought a new blaster in years. I'm gonna get one eventually though. Just gotta pick one. The kronos looks pretty good.
You should try the dart zone pro max Tomcat blaster. It's awesome. 😁
