Later I took it apart to see what the issue was and realized it was intentional, but I could just remove the piece responsible. Made me wonder why they decided to do that.

I love the ability to pull the mag out whenever you want! I hate having to explain "Prime the blaster back, then take the mag out." to my friends whenever I'm lending. Currently sitting with a broken delta trooper that served a long time as a great secondary, destroyed after a friend ripped out the mag. Great design, should exist in more blasters.
It's not possible with the breeches that full-length blasters use, only dedicated pusher breeches can do it (usually short dart only, except for things with a huge draw like the Caliburn).

It uses gears to move the bolt forward when you pull back, and leaves it there when you push forward. When you fire, it FLINGS back hard and causes the recoil effect. This blaster has some really clever innovations. The Mlock, everything about the magwell, the hidden picatinny rail, and even down to the material quality. It’s all super impressive.
One thing he didn’t mention in the review is you can unscrew the thumbhole handle to reveal a standard AR handle mount & buffer tube. Use all your magpul accessories with ease.
I was very impressed by this review. This blaster seems to just do everything right, almost like whoever designed it cared for once! Very rare nowadays, especially if you look at hasbro products (lmao). Not sure if they'll be available overseas, but it's very nice to see the market evolving so quickly and in such a great direction!
Also, totally agree on the spring spacers. Will work on a pistol grip with spacer storage and see if we can release it as a free printable download on the website.

I've been waiting for the Trion for months. My friends are strictly half-length, high-powered shooters. I'm buying each of them a Trion come spring time to replace their modded Nexus pros. I've been using the Game Face Prime modded with a stronger spring and metal internals, coupled with a red dot optic that's sighted in for 50-75 ft range. While it's very accurate and powerful, I'm ready for something new and fresh.
i want to use half lengths but me and my friends have a sortof rule to try to use the same ammo so picking it up is easier and they arent as serious as me so i cant use my half lengths:( this gun looks so good, but me and my two nexus pros have full length compatibility. damn
This beauty is superior to the Nexus. Save up the extra buck, and get one if you can. The previous GameFace blaster was a CEDA reshell, but they're making original stuff now, and their future is bright. Edit: It also comes in red!
This blaster is something that I didn’t know I needed until I got my hands on it. Love seeing more options for performance grade blasters that look this cool!

I kinda love their logo. The colors are harmonious too, if a little too fluorescent for myself. It's still very pretty and their design considerations make them worth paying attention to in future releases.

A very late thank you Coop. I bought this bad boy and just received it this afternoon and I'm in love already. My previous non-Nerf blaster was a Aeon Pro so the Trion is a very warm upgrade for a good price point. Unfortunately there is only one (re)seller here in the Netherlands so it did cost me €120 (~$128). But the Worker Harrier is €199 (~$220) over here, so this is still a good buy.
It’s just all the subtle differences like the mlock, dedicated half dart mag well that’s flared, the feature so you don’t have to prime is back to reload, the long picatinny rail, the buffer tube and grip attachment point, all the little differences that make it so much better than the nexus pro to me. The nexus was a game changer when I came out but now that there’s this, I don’t see myself using my nexus anymore.
Yeah I see it says "Industry Standard grip and buffer tube for customization" so yeah people can totally get rid if the thumbhole and use their preferred furniture!
I love how nerf guns are essentially going through the same evolution real guns went through; moving from larger rifle-size ammo to more intermediate cartridges
This is actually the second blaster Gameface released. The first was the Gameface Prime back in 2020. I heard there will be a third one release early next year called the Geon that is a sidearm class blaster.
Okay, this blaster is absolutely fantastic! It looks cool, it works really well, and it's filled with smart design decisions and nifty features. I don't own anything that shoots half-darts, and this looks like the perfect blaster to start.
I like how he says "Hey look at all these cool accessories for the nexus pro!" Then the very next day says "Don't bother with the nexus pro, get the Trion!"
With all those high performance short dart only blaster of late I would really wish to see them shooting elite darts. You know, cut them in half and watch all those pirouettes 😀
@@blasterface22 not disputing that, just was meaning to say I really like the Gameface Prime and that the Trion learned from the Ceda/Prime Short comings and wasn’t Gameface’s first foam blaster but definitely looks like best of all 3 for sure. I’ve got two Ceda S’s and Two Gameface Prime’s, but this is definitely one I’m wanting to try out and review myself, looks great. Also you can get a plastic spacer at Home Depot if you still can’t find yours COOP, that’s what I use in my ceda’s and prime’s and it’s only like a dollar for 2.
It's been around a while, but 200+ was mostly done by modders, 3D printed sellers on Etsy or more obscure companies like Worker. Dart zone recently made a 200+ blaster, but I don't think Coop reviewed that one yet
If I remember correctly, I think you can remove the stock and grip and put a buffer tube stock and a pistol grip (I think I can be wrong) Does it work with Katana mags or the Dart Zone mags that come with the nexus or the Stryker?
I pre ordered a trion and got it today and all I can say is wow I also have a max stryker and a game face prime but neither one of them can compare to the trion straight out of the box
Hey Coop, not sure if you noticed this, but the large teal grip/thumb hole stock piece is removable, and you can replace the grip with an AR style grip, as well as a M4 style buffer tube stock right out of the box!

But since I'm at stock nerf and can't even use stock nerf rivals (too strong and too loud) I have to pass on that gorgeous blaster :( (or like I'd need to buy a huge downgrade for the spring but I don't know how to do that and that's a lot of extra money)
I have an issue. Just being “This should come out in about a month.” Has been said since October. I get greatness takes time. But still. It’s hard to get excited for something when it’s been delayed so many times.
Being able to put the magazine in the blaster without having to prime it first I feel should be the new standard going forward.

You can single load full length darts through the jam window really easily. There are some other Easter eggs under the hood as well.
