Hear Corbyn or Yvette Cooper make their points and compare the approach/manner with Johnson and co (its mostly night and day). Sunak is more competent but sadly belongs to a party that doesn't have the welfare of the nation's people as its top priority.

Both parties are terrified by the impulse generated by the ex Labour Party leader.
There are many people who will not vote for either party- and rightly so!
The two party system has produced a government with an eighty seat majority on less than 45% of the total vote .
Brexit, covid, climate and war have all combined to provide the political chaos- which plays directly into the hands of the power elites, goaded on by untruthful commentators and politicians.
Discussion on PR electoral system is urgently needed to restore local democracy.

Labour missed an open goal in the 2019 election by fielding Corbyn as the Labour leader. Disaffected anti Tory Remainers who made up a big chunk of the electorate ended up voting for Lib Dems and Greens as they couldn't stomach an unpatriotic prime minister. Now that Labour have got their house in order and dropped the far left politics and the anti semitism they are leading in the polls and will probably win the 2024 election. Better late than never. I hope the far left rally around Labour until the Tories are out of power and then we can talk about controversial things like Nationalising everything. For some things maybe but most things no.

Has that occurred under the tenure of the Conservative leadership? If so its not that surprising sadly. When many policies are funnelled towards making money as the top priority rather than improving the quality of life for citizens that is one of the byproducts of such decision making.
I hope the majority vote for something different in 2024. It'll depend on who actually votes and as stated in this video whether that ends up prominently being those who're unaffected by many of the issues raised or prefer a nation where the existing divides continue.

Jessie Corbyn 2017 12,877,918 votes 40.0% MPs 262 So in Corbyn's best election result, he got 640,249 votes less, and 3.2% less, and 156 MPs less. He was then much worse in 2019.
And the same is true if you forget the SNP, and just look at English results; Blair got more votes, a higher percentage of votes, and more MPs.

It doesn't matter how right a politician is if they're never in government. With the current political landscape and electoral system if you cling to the ideal rather than the plausible you're helping the bloody Tories who are still worse. And if all the voters left of Labour stop voting what happens next isn't Labour putting Corbyn back in power, they'll move further right so they can get elected. Any political party worth supporting understands you need to attract enough voters to form a government not stand idly by while Rome burns content you're morally right.
