    I really believe this channel is a breathe of fresh air as it seems to only deal with facts and truths which is the exact reason why it isn't as popular as it should be. People would rather avoid channels like this to follow their own false pretences. Having said that, I do find this channel makes me rage to boiling point as i am new to living in UK and what I've found out about the runnings of the government and the country are simply infuriating.

    A. Tate adored his father, who regularly neglected his kids and wife.
    Tate describes how his father would disappear for months, when they were kids, yet he doesn't seem to care that his mother was left to raise them alone.

Your opinion of Tate seems to based on out of context 30 sec TikTok clips and believing media organizations making allegations without evidence. To answer the question James poses at the end: As a convert from the kind of messages Tate preaches, you cannot dismiss this man as just a "Dude on the internet". Yes, there is the issue that in providing a platform for this type of thinking, you give it the attention it so craves, but if it goes completely unchecked, it will spawn more people like Tate, who will continue to preach his message even if he fades into obscurity. Just because he doesnt hold any governmental level of power, doesnt mean he is completely incapable of preying on young men's insecurities and creating stubborn mysoginists who see nothing wrong within themselves and blame their mistreatment of people on warped lies, that they themselves have been mistreated, and that no self reflection is required because its everyone else's fault (which is a very dangerous mindset, considering I used to harbour it). The way to tackle people like Tate is learn as much as you can about them, and then, as James said, prove undisputably, in front of their audiences, that their way of thinking has harmful consequences to both the mysoginists they spawn, and the women who have to be subjected to that mysoginistic behaviour.

      You don't understand why Tate is popular because you can't look in the mirror. • @TheRationalRegiShow
      @TheRationalRegiShow Рік тому +7

      @@rocketmonty9916 I do understand why Tate is popular, because one day I did look in the mirror, and I didnt like what was staring back at me. The advice he preaches, I oncr followed. It turns you into a sexist, mysogynistic man baby, blaming society and women for all the woes of being a man, and avoids male accountability at all costs because otherwise the entire message he preaches falls apart. He'll tell you everything you want to hear, that it isnt your fault, when realistically (and also, unfortunately) it is our male peers, and people like Tate himself, thats precisely why us men are the target of disapproval by society. I once believed, like you seem to, that society and women were to blame for overzealously scrutanising men, until I went out of my way to understand why that is the case. Until you realise and understand the agenda behind what Tate, and people like him, masterfully weave into their ideology, and take into account the fact that they preach it to impressionable, lonely men who dont know any better, then I must guide you to the mirror, instead.

And in fact you may be just completely wrong about what he says. Yes O'Brien comes across as very ignorant here. Peterson has had so many interesting guests on his podcast and fascinating, enlightening discussions..He hosted the feminist Helen Joyce, for example. Not the sort of thing a misogynist would do... The sound bite about "women not being oppressed historically" is out of context and can be justified, it depends on one's presuppositions. The woke mind just refuses to comprehend anything that goes against the victim narrative they're always peddling. What about the millions of men who went to war and died to protect their women and children, for example?

    I like James, but I don’t appreciate the causal demeaning of Jordan Peterson. JP says the exact opposite to what James says - if girls don’t like you, the first thing you need to do is look at yourself and ask yourself what do you have to offer? Girls don’t owe you a relationship. The entire point of JP’s message is that blaming an entire gender for your shortcomings is entirely arrogant, and one should take responsibility over yourself - which can then cascade to responsibility in a job, in a community, and then to a woman and family. Just because he actually tries to help incels rather than push them back into their caves doesn’t mean he is encouraging their behaviour.
    Again, I like and broadly agree with James. But I do think this is, quite frankly, lazy misrepresentation.

      JP might or he might not debate JoB into submission. But it’s pretty obvious he cares deeply about the effect of his words on other people and isn’t simply a grifter. It’s very dangerous to put a sincere man into the same category as a grifter. The sincere man’s arguments get used and abused to defend the grifter’s.
      I actually agree with a lot of JoB’s worldview, but he lacks the empathy required to persuade anyone who disagrees with him to his point of view. He’s a lazy journalist too - by default he talks ad hominem rather than by analysing what people actually say in context. Those things are related: his lack of empathy prevents him listening properly sometimes. It’s easy to pick apart what most of his dissenting callers argue because they are often incoherent. Because he’s so used to doing that he’s very superficial with subtler arguments and more reasoned thinkers like JP. I think he has a tendency to treat everyone who says something he disagrees with like they are one of his less intellectually gifted callers.

    Tate is stating that men and women are equal in value but not equal in their roles which has been true for centries and I can't see how that is mysogeny. He tries to promote men to be the best version of themselves (go to the gym, build a career, learn a skill) instead of looking for someone to blame which you falsely claim is his narrative. You've just made yourself look very ignorant and, agreeably, "childish". If you haven't researched him enough to make an accurate judgement then you shouldn't be voicing your opinions on such a platform.
