Only if the character who uses Influence dies. Influence makes sure Rei will attack that target. Also... Ryu can't turn into a dragon in that fight so it's best to use him for support there. :P
LOL that's happened to me. Before I had learned that I needed influence to comtrol Rei. I killed a boss in one hit one time by using warrior dragon+focus+might+and gambit. It was pretty insane at the time
@weretiger0 More like i should have used Peco and Momo. Also Shadowwalk should go on Momo, to counter her low accuracy. (Ryu has plenty of other options) Of course, this is just my opinion, but that's what i would do if i played this again.
@liihagtuyr it's because the human form of the elder is a very old man... if he gets high damage a few times in a row, he becomes unable to use his turn because of his "bad back" which means he has a back ache due to his age... that's the explanation for it... =)
I love this game. My fav rpg in da world. Here a tip, if u make Ryu a O/D type by learning all of the attack moves in the game, his healing skills come by them self. He becomes more helpful to u when hes not in dragon mode.
That was long before I discovered Influence. But, yes, I started using that skill from Goblin Boss after I found out it worked. I was thinking back to when I first started playing the game. It made it more challenging though!

He didnt have the catalyst. When he went weretiger he was pissed angry depressed and wanted revenge, kinda like what made goku go super saiyan vs frieza, he snapped cuz of the rage. when he was younger i dont think he knew he could
The reason why games are so easy now, is because Newer Gamers are younger and dotn have as much gaming experience. Also the newer gamers only care about how the game looks, not how the game is. I must agree, older games might not look as good but are certaitnly better in story. I remeber most of the parts in BoF3, unlike a game i just beat "TimeWarp"
ah... such a memorable battle. i did this just a few days ago. thing is, i forgot to bring rei in, so... the battle lasted about twenty minutes, seeing as my party members were ryu, nina, and momo. that was really messed up.

I was thinking what if I have Beyd in the party? I remember training him to the point that he 1 shots my Momo and Nina and almost 1 shots my Ryu. Beyd would make the elder his bitch. hahahaha. This is such a classic franchise and it's unfortunate that Capcom has shelfed this series.
You've died in battle without resurrecting the character before the battle ends. That yellow number means that it's lower than normal. You can fix it by resting at an inn. (Camp resting will NOT recover that.)
@kingofbudokai don't let looks fool you. :D Peco is actually REALLY good. stick him under Fahl for the whole game and put in lead in attack formation. 100% reprisal rate in this formation plus godly defense and HP plus recovery makes him a beast at keeping your other two members safe from physical attacks. I use Ryu and Rei for my main attacking force while Peco is there for being a tank and recovery purposes

It's been a while but if I remember correctly there is an ability early on you can get by watching enemies, something to the effect of ordering all monsters to focus on a certain teamate. Well anyway if you watch and learn that move you can order rei in were-tiger form to attack specific monsters so he doesn't go crazy. idr if it works on the uncontrollable kaiser or not...
I remeber the first time I fought him It was exactly 5 yeras ago I was only 10 years old. I first fought him with Nina, Ryu And momo. I lost terribly after 1 fight. I noticed how hard he was to beat. So I gave up. Something told me to try again. This time I put Ray and turned into the Wear Tiger on my team. I went down stairs to help my mom with the groceries. I came back up stairs and the victory screen was on. Man I was happy. But evreytbody was dead ecept for Ray who had 1 hp left (lol)
best characters on BOF III , imo, and i know what im talking about. 1- Ryu 2-Rey 3- Garr The others are useful, but not the best, Momo for might skill, Nina for magic, and Peco for regeneration.

Myria was much harder for me than Elder or D.Lord but yah when your lower level (like I was) D.Zombie, Elder, Teepo, Myria are all fucking hard. This game does rock agreed :D Why I'm actually playing it again!
What i did for this fight was have Nina and Garr and i equiped a ring of fire on Nina then i spent the fight having Ryu Focus twice then do Super Combo on him. Both those moves can be learned form Bunyan Other sorta chilled tossed out the heals and extra damage. I was dealing 1300 a pop with Super Combo
Finally not an annoying epic boss! Perfect level of challenge. Best fight in the game. Not too easy cuz you can't use the overpowered gene abillities (especially fucking game breaking Force) and not too challenging and annoying.
Old man with Scylla & Charybis = annoying Zombie Dragon = annoying as fuck Gaist = One sided fight, coulda been better I haven't fought Myria yet. Something tells me she will be disappointing and/or annoying but I'm not overleveled so we will see..
Mehn don't worry it happens to me a lot once momo is dead that's it he going on a killing spree lol good thing everybody can learn that move so I don't have to use her all the time lol
i like how you cant enter Saiyan mode with our ole' buddy Ryu in this mode, still as long as he has shadowwalk...:p plus backache! not that i wasn't greatful that he performed this fuck up sometimes, but it did feel a bit cheap harrrrharrr.
@REGIAKURUSU309 Nina is the most powerful character in the game. But what was so awesome about this game is any character you choice to be the strongest was generally by stat manipulation..just Nina's was the easiest to manipulate the quickest.
yes at first thx for uploading all your vids they are great. this is my favorite game.;) i couldn't take rei in my party for against this boss i can't remember now.. it's a long time ago but i finished the boss with nina and mom that was so.. they died and died cause i didn't trained them a lot :D

shield is op, it allows to kill berserker without transforming along with defense formation.

I ate too many Brood slayers over the centuries. Craning my neck back to swallow them gave me a bad back.

Beyd was fucking overpowered if you overtrained him he would get only 1 damage xD

You can bring Nina to kiss him and still change characters before the fight.

Poor Elder has a Bad Back, otherwise he woulda wiped the floor with you (among with many others of course lol).
