Funny, I beat this fight last year. My strategy (all involved characters were level 99)? 1) Vaan as a Shikari/Bushi, armed with a Yagyu Darkblade, the Genji Helm, Dark Robe and Genji Glove. Buffed him with Haste, Bravery and Berserk (via Bacchus’ Wine). Had him attack Yiazmat from the side. 2) Basch as Knight/Uhlan equipped with Tournesol, Grand Helm, Maximilian and Bubble Belt. Buffed him with Protect, Decoy and (initially) Reverse. Had him tank Yiazmat’s face. 3) Ashe as a Black Mage/Monk spammed the Wither technick until all stacks were in place, which practically reduced enemy damage to negligible amounts. Was able to let Reverse buff lapse after that. 4) Swapped out Ashe for Penelo (White Mage/Time Battlemage), who healed and buffed where necessary. Vaan easily chipped away at Yiazmat’s health and it went down within roughly 2 hours. Thankfully I was playing on my Switch, so I could pause the game and put the console in sleep mode when necessary. So glad to put that fight behind me. 😄
Wow, melting doesn't even begin to describe the beating that you gave it, you've obliterated the guy. Didn't know about this method. Would commentary have hurt? The lack of licences, constant summons and random techniques before even attacking Yiazmat was just painful to watch without context
Sorry for not doing a commentary, this video was a part of the experiment i had about testing how fast can two Darkblades with the most optimal equipments and setup kill Yiazmat Here's what i can explain The lack of licenses is because i specifically set Balthier and Basch to deal as many damage as possible using the Darkblade The constant summons is a part of the glitch im using called Dead Character Glitch, the summon is a part of it where Holy, Dismiss and X-Potion jams and Yiazmat has to wait for it to be done but the X-Potion action never actually going to be done effectively disabling Yiazmat's Cylone, you can notice Penelo is stuck trying to throw the X-Potion and Yiazmat just trembles when he tried to cast Cyclone For the techniques, Expose is a technique that decrease the target's physical defense and decrease less as you cast more on the same target which is why i chose to cast 5 I hope this short reply is enough to give you context of what is going on
I couldn't speak your language, but the long short of it is that i petrified Penelo whilst she is in the middle of using X-Potion effectively delays Yiazmat's Cyclone forever
Basically, i sacrifice Penelo by forcing her to be stuck trying to use X-Potion because if Yiazmat were to try cast Cyclone he has to wait for the X-Potion action finished, effectively forcing Yiazmat to queue Cyclone forever and be vulnerable to both Balthier and Basch who were set to deal as much damage as possible Thats the long short of it, hope it helps
@@KerathenotGreat I meant no disrespect, it's actually beautiful to me. I didn't know about berzerk until I played zodiac....I thought I was great..lol...still my all-time fav ff game. @@dragumkirisute1998 Fucking 2 month old comment and this dude hearts it within 2 seconds. So desperate to farm interaction he's even putting hearts on the criticism. It's bad play because the start of this video could have been several minutes shorter and all he's doing is setting up the DCG glitch exploit. It's a very simple setup.
Its rather precise, first you have to cast break on your summoner (in my case its Penelo), second you have to summon an esper, third you have to throw holy mote when the timer reaches 1, fourth you have to start dismissing your esper, fifth you have to queue X-potion, sixth you have to equip/unequip your equipment AFTER the timer reaches 0 (not as the 0 show up and you cannot be too late otherwise it wont work), if your summoner is present but cannot move you have succeeded in execution, lastly wait for Yiazmat to ready Cyclone by just spamming phoenix down on the other two characters. Notes: changing the summoner to another character will remove its effect, going to another room will also remove its effect
