Just got done unclogging my cars evap hoses to the canister then I unclogged myself 🚽 since I had 3 beef and bean burritos for lunch at my job. I hope my issue is fixed. Thanks for the video.
Thx, same issue here. So many GM issues, the temperatures in cab must be climbing, due to my increased blood pressure. The result apparently is my blower motor just went out!
Have 05 Colorado, code 0455, change purge valve, tested it, tested good, light came back on, pulled vent solenoid, tested it, was bad, changed it out, light came back on,!!uhg it was a bad ground wire going from computer to vent solenoid! Good luck babe
The needle for the fuel gauge (stepper motor) is probably bad. Very common issue on these trucks. Replace them, but its kind of hard to calibrate. Also, try turning the key on and "bumping" it to start, but don't let the starter engage. It will make the gauges reset to zero. Doing this a few times in a row will bring gauges to minimum setting.
For the gas tank level gage is a sensor in the fuel pump if you get this part alone cost more then replace the all pump the best way is to replace the pump also you need to bring the tank down so is worth to replace complete
Hey man, I have a 05 Tahoe and I replaced the Evap Canister which is right next to the Solenoid, then I replaced the Evap Sensor underneath the hood. I think that some of the charcoal is stuck somewhere in my lines. That cannister will be filthy based on the GM design. Good luck man.
Thanks for the heads up I’ll have to take a look at that. I’ve heard of others having clogged canisters or need their canister lines blown out like you said. Thanks for the feedback!
There are 2 more sensors that set off the code one on top of the tank and one on the back of the intake, mine was the cannister. testing the circuit is a pain in the ass jump A to B read voltage shit. Also gas cap could lose it seal.
@@tonykari5124 nope. Last weekend I had to drop my fuel tank to replace the fuel pump and as I had it down I inspected and cleaned out all the lines, everything looked good, but I still get the gas pump clicking off occasionally.
I have a 07 Chevy Tahoe. Have the same code P0442 (Evap) leaks. I have the same issue at the pump. I change out the Canister vent solenoid in hoping that it would solve the problem. My check engine light came back on and with the same code. I read online and lots of folks mention to replaced the Fuel vent evap valves. I change it and drove the truck for about 300 miles and the lights pups back on with the same code. I just don't know what the issues are anymore. Thinking about taking into a shop and get a smoke test to see where is the leak is from. Sometimes my truck has a hard time starting, but it only does it sometime. If anyone has an idea, please shared!!!
Try changing the Gas cap for a new one. My '04 avalanche was doing the exact same thing. The Mechanic wanted to change out the fuel pump for 1200$....Fuk'n Thieves.
Hey man, ill be out at southingtin opining weekend. Id love to meet up with you and see the jeep. Maybe even do a few trails together. Even if you are not out there opining weekend, I don't live far and will be there a lot. I would definitely like to meet up at some point during the season. DM me on instagram!! @will_petit

I have a 2003 chevy avalanche and had the codes for the oxygen sensor 1 and mass airflow system. I changed both myself and truck runs great.

Me and my fiancé are having the same thing happen to our 2004 Silverado 1500 and don’t know why

look for kink in the rubber transition hose between the filler neck and the tank.

The video I linked here shows where the Charcoal is clogging the lines.

I watched a video by the car wizard and one of the common issues on the avalanche is the location of the vent tube gets clogged up with dirt and crud.
Changed fuel pump charcoal and canister still not working cnt put fuel in gas tank
What obd scanner is that?
For evap codes the best way is to do smoke test that don’t lie I been thru this many times

I finally fixed mine after 2 years of repair after repair
Turns out it was charcoal in my fuel lines and in my tank and fuel pump
@@heatherfrias7419were you able to fix it or did you have to take it in ?
So you never saw any visual leak?
Did u check your fuel tank
I replaced the solenoid twice, the purge valve and the charcoal canister and I'm still getting the code.
Did you ever figure it out ? What was it. I got the same problem now. Lmk please
I ended up having to change the fuel cap along with the canister.

Guys check the computer or restart the system I did that because I had the same problem and it solved it
