- I promised I wouldn't upgrade from my OG Steam Deck unless I somehow managed to get one of the Limited Edition OLEDs. Barring the usual Steam shop server issues, it turns out they were in pretty good supply! Join me for my first official unboxing and first impressions.

Very nice. The new 2 in 1 case is a good addition. First thing I got for my first gen SD was a thinner case as I find the included one too bulky.
The longer cable on the charger is a welcome addition too.
YES, that tiny cable on the OG was baffling.

The nice thing about this refresh is the differences are very noticeable to people who already had the OGs. Hope you enjoy!
Personally I use the back pouch band thing for the charger. Sits in there fairly nicely. For me atleast.
I agree, although I was never able to get it tucked in nicely. I should check how well the new charger fits since it has a longer cable. Maybe that's why we got a pouch :D

Ah, good to know! I was surprised they lasted longer that the first day, but I guess they prepared a pretty good supply of them. And congrats on getting yours. :)
Cool. I love my Steam Deck. I got the original one when it first came out, and I opened it up and replaced the 500MB SSD with a 2TB SSD, and also have a 1TB flash card in it, so I never run out of space. I put every emulator on the planet on it, and I just love it. I use it all the time.
Are the buttons any different on this new LE Deck? The original one I have, the buttons are starting to wear out.
As far as I can tell, the only difference on the face buttons is the colour of the lettering. The shoulder bumpers seem to be a bit more balanced (they actuate evenly across the whole shoulder instead of just on the corners).
3TB is a lot of storage! :D I usually play a couple indie games at a time then delete 'em so I haven't run into storage problems even on my original mode.
Have you had any issues with your version liekd ead pixel and sticky nuttons. I kee hearing the 1TB version has those issues and not much talk on the Limited or the 512 version which I got. So far so good and wanting to update my steam decl to a 1TB but waiting for mroe video to explain how ti done with the ssd and files transfer. I do like that Limited eddition but if onyl come in purple lol. Hope you enjoy yorus and what are you going to do with the old oen I also ahve 512 LCD one just not sure how to sell ti when everyone si sellign theirs lol
Sticky buttons sounds like something that might present after long-term use, but if people are noticing it on theirs right away then no I guess I don't have that problem. I also have no dead pixels, so that is nice. I'm just going to sell mine on marketplace. There should be a lot of people looking for cheap Decks around Xmas time.

The LE is really just a vanity thing, but I definitely recommend the OLED model in general. I was happy to see my unit has no dead pixels, and the screen is gorgeous!
The biggest question: is it possible to launch the Langrisser Mobile on steam deck?!
I wouldn't be surprised, people get a lot of crazy stuff running on these. But it would take some wrangling, since it's really only meant for Windows and the way it installs/runs is weird even on PC.
