Oh yes I am always tired, everything I do I am tired especially doing my house work,I am so different now less energy,, menopause is not easy to go through,we women really have to go through with our body, thank you Ms Eileen, Great information to learn from, God bless you 🙏🙏
I'm exhausted post menopause. I do 15 minutes Pilates to try and help with my aching stiff muscles and joints then I have to take a nap, it's ridiculous 😩
@jacquelinearcher1158 absolutely 100% agreed just post meno stage now . Continuously getting ill with flu/ cold or asthma .. ( new aliments) Try then to get back into.exercise ok for a couple of weeks then ill again
It's comforting to know that someone out there knows and understands what I'm going through, being in perimenopause.. I have this major feeling of burnout even if I didn't do anything strenuous at all, get irritated easily about the smallest things, and just the body aches and pains everywhere, it's crazy.. Your kindness and compassion for women in our stage in life is greatly appreciated! Please continue more with the videos, like many others, I depend on them too. :)
Physical & mental fatigue, weight gain, hair loss & joint ache/pain are my main symptoms… the fatigue feels like burnout but it’s not… From your video sounds like I have adrenal fatigue ☹️
Does sound like it Raquel, you may find 'Are you tired and wired' by Marcelle Pick really helpful for lots of self-help advice and diet plans. Best Wishes Eileen
Yes cortisol abd adrenaline goes up as estrogen and sex hormones go down hense tired and wired 😢it’s cruel low carb high protein low sugar and exercise even a walk every day helps o find wheat bread pasta and sugar make sleepiness worse !! Women have to deal with so much men are SO lucky x thanks Eileen 🥰
@@emmadunning8275 - thank you… Yep, if men had to go through what women do monthly & then during perimenopause & menopause the world would have stopped a long time ago…
Menopause fatigue is such a huge issue, I'm finding, and thank you for all the helpful suggestions. My 2 cents as a single woman who works a lot, with a demanding full time job and a small farm, I now have mental lists of my more and less physically or mentally demanding tasks, and I save the easier stuff for when I feel the most wiped out. I can also second the value of taking rest breaks, both physical and mental/emotional. This is a new thing for me, consciously resting, pacing myself, and it helps tremendously.
Thank you for the great advice. One problem I always have with these health advice videos is the standard "exercise is good for you" mantra. I don't know if my body works differently from vast majority of people, but NO, it doesn't make me feel good. It makes me miserable, and once I'm done I feel like "Thank GOD that's over". I feel no benefits from it. It doesn't do anything for my mood, or weight, or any other aspect, physical or mental. I dread it. Or should I say dreaded, because I'm done with it. My body is clearly saying NO.
Yes, very important to listen to your body Maria! Hormonal changes can often cause fatigue and exercise is not recommended at that point. However, you may find other ways to keep active, even a 15 min daily walk or a short 10 min yoga stretch can be very beneficial. Best Wishes Eileen
I started with 2 mins a day when that was no longer an effort I added a min. At present I am on 10 mins. I do not follow anyone else's exercise routine. I feel in to my body and see what it wants to do. The movement I do I have not seen anyone else do. I adjust this to how my body is feeling. If it's nothing today then it's nothing today. If it's half the time then that's it. I find the amount of movement time fluctuates for me. I hope your find your centre.
you are not alone. I keep having this discussion over and over with my husband and he simply can't understand. I read that if you have Major Depressive Disorder, which I do, it is very likely that exercise will not benefit you the way people insist. good luck. This totally fucking sucks.
Thank you so much for explaining all the fatigue. I have gone through every single one of them. It is debilitating. I noticed SAD is worse during peri too. I have also noticed SAD changes during menopause. Mine was in the Summer. When I started peri my SAD changed to Winter. My fatigue and blues are now worse in Winter.
Thank you so much for this video. I have the emotional stress fatigue right now. I’m always under stress and feel drained all the time. I have digestive issues that make it worse.
Thank you, Eileen, as always good advice! When I was going through the perimenopause. I got really ill and exhausted. I collapsed one day. Probably due to post viral illness. It was horrible and a real wake up call.! So I was lucky enough to be able to stop working. And all the things you talk about really do help. But it can be a lonely existence trying to muster up enough courage to go out far sometimes. I have always looked for help and guidance. One of the things I do is deep breathing into the pain in my body & hold then release . Like a mini massage. Yes all the vits and learn to say no sometimes. Xx
U didn't add drink lots of water🥰👍 im sure that will help as well yes? Thank u again for ur support and all the info u give us ladies. Very very helpful ❤️🙏 God bless u
Well done Diane, I realised when I'd finished filming that I forgot about the water and wondered if anyone would remind me! Yes, of course, dehydration can be a primary contributory factor to fatigue so really important to drink plenty every day. Best Wishes Eileen
Good vedio and great advice as always...what about post menopause can you adress that issue at some point....we hear about the perimenopause and menopause but what about the post menopause.?what are the issues with that ?
there are several that usually work well including magnesium citrate, magnesium taurate or magnesium glycinate, these are the ones I tend to recommend Best Wishes Eileen
Thank you so much! I have some suggestions to try ASAP. It’s such an oxymoron to be in a phase of life when one has some freedom to enjoy life, (ie kids moved out as grown up), yet I’m too tired to accept social invitations, work is hard, and often don’t want to get out of bed.
You forget, extra menstrual exhaustion; I’ve been cramping and bleeding almost continuously for five months now(!!). my doctor is aware, I’m getting a hormone therapy and extra supplements, like iron but in the meantime, I’m really exhausted! I feel this isn’t mentioned much in your videos, but I’m sure I’m not the only one…
This does sound quite extreme, have you seen your doctor about the fatigue? This can be caused by other health issues which appear in the menopause such as anaemia, vitamin D or B12 deficiency or even thyroid malfunction. Your doctor can test for these just to rule them out. Best Wishes Eileen

Maybe take a B complex vitamin. Make sure you don't have low vitamin D3 that can make you really tired. I take 10,000 iu D3 . No sunshine here

Vitamin c is also crucial for adrenal gland support. Start slowly as it can have a laxative effect. L-ascorbic acid is gentler on the stomach.
