I appreciate that for the RTS part you showed that one joke in the tutorial. But do wish you would have mentioned the fact that the story is essentially a Heart of Darkness story where the villian has had a part of his brain blown away hah. Air Attack are definetly a favorite from the PS1 era. Also it is kinda funny how the gritty reboot does pretty much everything youd expect it too. Even tho they still have a cartoonish villian in the form of General Malice hah. Also fuck you Take 2
Army Men 2 was a big favorite of my childhood, and while I do appreciate the passing references to the PC games I am surprised it wasn't really dived into in either of these videos. Its got flaws, its clunky and not perfect; but the original PC games were a blend of RTS/Top Down Squad Shooter type games. The original Sarge (not the Jim Cummings Sarge of the later games) was a no-nonsense gruff military man and Army Men 2 is the first game in the series to introduce the "real world" with an opening level set in a kitchen. Just the image of watching soldiers melt into a plastic goo on a stovetop is ingrained in my brain. There was also a zombie plotline with a mad scientist melting down captured POW's and re-molding them into zombies with an injection molding machine. The cutscenes when the player failed a level showed Sarge getting blown up, tortured and destroyed in various ways and those alone are a trip (there is one that involves an ape and electricity that is just bonkers if only for the sound design being stuck in my head forever now). The final level is an assaults on a Lincoln Logs style castle. And some of the weapons were wacky, like the ability to unlock a giant magnifying glass with a human hand controlling it that would "zap" enemy soldiers with the sun and set them on fire. Even the minesweeper stuff makes more sense in a tactical top down shooter game, since clearing out minefields is required before moving your larger squad into position. Its an element of gameplay I am surprised lasted into the third person games, since it fits the tone of the original PC top down games much better. I also had a copy of World War on PC (not to be confused with World-War Final Front) and it used a similar engine to Army Men 2, but was less focused on story but more on a crude multiplayer set up. It never was as engaging as Army Men 2, and the controls felt clunkier than its predecessor. But I still have fond memories of an early level in that game which was based on the D-Day landings. As mentioned in part 1 of this series though World War on Playstation was a 3rd person shooter like Army Men 3D; and not a top down RTS hybrid like the PC version was. Its a shame to see how the success of the 3rd person shooter's ended up turning the franchise more and more into shovelware as it went on, since the top down shooter games had an early charm that was since lost. But hey what can be expected when 3DO's operating style was to put out a game every 9 months or so? Of course the franchise was doomed to become shovelware after some early success.
4:18 there's a dialogue quip that states the select button controls the shopping doors in some California mall lmao the "what you just done can never be taken back" is in reference to you causing injuries, game had some good dark humor to it.
12:42 you can also replace EgoRaptor with DSPGaming. And I’m not going to defend Arin Hanson either, because I think Chris O’Neil a.k.a. Oney is better than him-he ACTUALLY animated in Mario Artist on the N64 DD!

And In regards to the Silent Hill 2 comment at 9:17, If you are talking about the "Born from a Wish" Scenario, that is actually in the PS2 release, but ONLY in the greatest hits red case version of the game. Funny enough, I bought Silent hill 2 from ebay a few years ago and the greatest hits version went for a lot more than the OG version and I didnt have an xbox at the time, so I just decided to say fuck it and get the OG version since that all I could afford. Got and OG box with a greatest hits disc in, suckers didnt know what they had!
Army Men and Army Men II on PC are not RTS games and are totally different to Army Men RTS. They're top down shooters, but have a more "tactical/ strategic" feel than most top down shooters. Kind of a shame you skipped arguably the 2 best ones

You may also have a rare psychological cluster B where you dont have really any sense of identity (not disassociative) where you yourself dont really experience life from your own perspective. I'm often confused why your content doesn't receive more views, seeing how entertaining it is. Honestly? I think it's just the branding. Update the channel's banner and thumbnails, and I think you'd do a lot better! The thumbnails are much too crowded, especially. So many words, fonts, images, and colours clashing with one another... That Duke Nukem video, for example. The image of Duke in a cowboy hat was what drew my eye. Everything else only detracted from that. The Captain Claw video meanwhile was perfectly simple, save for your little wolf guy on the right. In general, I think your wolf guy doesn't need to be in the thumbnails. He distracts from the subject you want to convey to potential viewers.

This is like the most true statement I've seen in a long time. I've thought about this several times in my life. There are so many games that people say are bad now, or end up on angry video game reviews and stuff like that. But when I was a kid, I remember liking a lot of the games that people say are crap. Hell, I guess I just had more patience for games back then. Dude, I remember I actually used to like Bubsy. It's stuff like that that makes me wonder how.
