Olin Buddy Powers from Prairie Dog Pottery did the Marbeling technique 40 years ago kept that technique close to his heart. RIP DAD. Nice to see it live.

Love the marble technique! For the beer mug and because they don't have the traditonal handle, I prefer #1, but it also would depend on the kind of beer I would like to drink from it. #2 reminds me a tiny bit of a wheat beer glass, but not realy, it's more like a very big honey wine mug. Without a handle #2 would be very comfortable to hold, though. For a stout or a dark beer I would probably like design #4 more. They're all very nice mugs. In the end I think it will depend on how they feel, their weight holding them.
New to your channel and clay and can't get enough! Your videoograpy is spectacular and you have ruined me for anyone else....well done. And well done on the new baby. Thank you for sharing so much with us. It keeps me inspired to keep improving.
Yes followed your lead with the marbling I like it and it turned out well, good cost and time saver. Thanks for the demonstration. I always learn something new from you.
The stein with the medallion - love it!!! And love the marbling, too! Thanks for sharing your process - and congrats on the beautiful new little one! ♥
Super clay saving to just put the marbleized bits on the outside of your base. Smart! Also beautiful baby! And I think number one on the Stein. I can't wait to try these marbled clays but I don't want to do the wedging!
I just found your channel and I see that I am way late in sending congratulations on the birth of Oliver, who must be laughing and bringing so much joy! I hope that the sleep schedule is improving for all involved. I would vote for stein #2 but I’m certain the decision was made prior to January 7, 2022. 😊 Enjoy this special time with your little one! May all be blessed. 🙏🏼
Great video as always. Beer steins- not too fussy about any of them but if I had to choose, #2. Fabulous technique with marbling, makes so much sense. Thanks
I love the new marbling technique! As someone who makes rainbow agateware mugs, I've been looking for a way to make it easier, cheaper and less time consuming, I like 1 or 3 for the steins.
Congratualions of Your new Family member! Also a big Thanks for sharing the new Vibes of pottery versions in Your studio! Specially your new techniques of working with colored clays are great! Economically reasonable is Your new version of colored clay pieces to add only outside of the portion of clay. I was wondering, how you could do only the middle of the work piece in colored clay inside & outside (near parallel) on the wheel? Would it be not interesting to see the color play so? Of course in the same dimensions of colored clay you are using or little bit more. And the rim & bottom of the bowl or cup stay in natural (white) clay, as you like. It is a very interesting clip, thanks a lot!!
Congratulations on the new addition to your beautiful family. ❤️ Love the marbled bowls but why are the blue clays so much stickier? 🍺: I like No. 2 and No. 4 the best. How wide are they? Keep in mind not all beer drinkers have large ’manly’ hands. 😉 Cheers! 🍻
Interesting idea for the marbled clay. Sadly like most they don’t share this knowledge so others can try their own creations. He can’t really claim as his own, probably been done some time in the last 3000 years.
Congratulations John on your sweet addition to the family! Can you please tell us the clay weight you are using for the mugs and the bowls you made first. I liked #1 & #3 best.
Do you think it would look cool or weird if you add black coloured clay as the base for the marbled ones? Instead of putting the grey and covering it with the marbled pieces I mean..
Congrats on the new addition! I'm wondering if you would answer some questions for me....? What type of plank do you use to sit finished pieces/bats on? Also, what is the table made of that you prep and wedge your pieces? And lastly, if you had a recommendation for a wheel what would it be? Thank you!
first of all congratulations on your baby I have 4 months since my baby was born. and I would like to be able to replicate one of the beauties that you create ... I have 3 doubts 1: what is the name of the brand of clay or ceramic that I have to buy 2: if I don't have an oven, can I still use them? 3 could a microwave introfusion capsule be used?
Congrats for your adition to your family. I think your Videos are very useful for learners and also inspiring for Artists, teachers. I love wathching them. 👏 Greetings from Zürich, Swizerland! Tutor for Pottery at Migros Klubschule in Zürich Oerlikon

Congratulations, welcome Oliver 🙂
#2 because it won’t slip out of your hand as easily as the others.
Congratulations on the new baby.

I think #3 is the most unique and cool.
Congrats on the addition to your lovely family!! 🌞 The colored clay bowls look amazing!
I like stein #1 followed by #4. Love how you're stretching the marbled clay. Totally works for me!
I like a fan to speed up drying so fitting lid handles or trim is done with a throw. A good nap might help
definitely 4!
You are a master craftsman. Don't get tired. Good luck with your work.👍
I like #4 for beer. You need a little lip to stop the dribbles, lol. 🙂
Congrats on you're new baby!!!! 😀
I had to stop and stare and that beautiful baby boy!
Congratulations!

1 or 3 on the steins. I like the new marbling technique, I’m going to try it myself.
He did not explain how he colored the clay. What material did he use to color the clay? Is the material Toxic?
You are truly talented. I'd like to learn how to throw pots someday.

the Marbled pots are something els! have you done a video on the break down of how to do that at all? keep creating!
I should have waited until the end before commenting! ✌
Hey I just watched you video about putting pigments into clay. What if… you “forged” it like blacksmiths make demascus…
Clay work nice work
Good work👌❤

Where/how do you get your medallion stamps? It looks like they're a solid plastic instead of a rubber, and they always look so crisp and clean!
Congratulations on the new addition to your beautiful family. ❤️

Do you put coloured slip into clay to marble?
Hey how did you make those batts.. or where did you get them
I appreciate you including a link to where you get your clay but please tell me what kind do you use? Kinda looks like porcelain but maybe B mix?

Who is "we?" You used to talk in the first person. It now sounds like others are helping you make pots.
I had a summer intern and my wife helps me too , it’s a team effort, but still mostly me in the studio !
