Since we are on the topic about The Hand, here’s a terrifying thought. The Hand scrapes away *everything* from the affected area which means time also doesn't exist within it meaning its a timeless void. So logically if a stand like The World or SP used Time stop the moment after the hand erased space, the erased space can’t close since there is no time surrounding it currently to grab the space around it to fill. @@the_meadow i think what he means is that the hand can only swipe what has time (what is moving) so if it fights anyone with time stop and they stop time, the hand will swipe them since only them can move
The conclusion about how Okuyasu sweeping people away would be OOC is exactly what I always think about when I see people saying that Okuyasu is too dumb for his stand. It’s not that he’s too dumb, he’s too kind. We only ever see him erasing the one thing that noone would notice missing - space (with the exception of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers fight, but he was riled up then), I don’t think he’d ever actually try to erase anyone’s body parts on his own volition, and he’d most likely feel bad for erasing objects as well.
A rather horrifying thought i came up with is Okuyasu spending time babysitting... baby jolyne. Specifically a moment where he catches her, say, trying to open a cookie jar? Now, Okuyasu being Okuyasu, he tries to use The Hand to pull her closer so he can scold her or... something, *but here's the catch.* He was a few centimeters too close to her when swiping, so when the space is refilled, *all that's left of the now instantly dead Jolyne is her head stuck on her left hand.* *And as Chase begins to play in the background, Okuyasu is scarred for life.* *and the chances of him finally being happy after all these years has, like the space within the hand's palm, been ERASED*
This video made me realize that a good chunk of Okuyasu's losses are from him not knowing something about his opponent. Rohan- Didn't know how the ability activates. Superfly- Didn't know about damage reflection. The beginning of the Kira fight- Didn't know about Stray Cat
Josuke: At least in the anime, he punched Josuke real good before he dodged. Tonio: He may have been suspicious but he cottoned on to the fact that Tonio’s strange food benefitted him eventually but very dramatically Shigechi: Shigechi was very greedy and did that trap to steal the lottery ticket. Red Hot Chili Pepper in the hills: Best case of him being stupid and he still had Red Hot Chili Pepper on the ropes if only because he was angry and Red Hot Chili Pepper only had a motorcycle as power. Akira Otoishi: Didn’t know who was Akira but he knew action had to be taken Kira: Still swiped Kira away from Josuke, and by the time it was clear he had Stray Cat he took that away from him. He still is very impulsive and is not smart, but he certainly leaps into action nicely so you are correct about Okuyasu being countered by hidden abilities and impulsivity.

Because let's be real...you don't have to be intelligent to think "Oh, if I just hit them, they die" xD But it is pretty unfortunate that Okuyasu gets a stand that doesn't really mesh well with him. In my book the hand has these stats. Attack: S+ Accuracy: C- Speed: B- Durability: B+ Range: f- (its ability pulls in space but it can't move far from its user and the eraser itself is always at arms length, almost all brawling stands have a range of f-) Attacks: the eraser pulls in objects but that doesn't help range as much as it would have you think, it creates a hole in the universe that the universe must fill causing objects to move as if space was pulling them to an area. He can also eraser zoom but he can't go far, only teleporting at the hands arm length at its maximum distance from okuyasu. (Probably why he has a "D" in the official stat book/eye catcher).
Instead of improving the stand we need to improve the user. While I love Okuyasu, I would have loved to see him improve a little more. We could give him his own short character arc though a new stand user he fights, who would have a stand that is almost a complete counter to The Hand. This would cause him to think a little more creatively and cause The Hand to have the new stats you mentioned. I also think The Hands appearance would change slightly. I think the blinders would get smaller. Not gone, but they wouldn’t be covering as much of The Hand’s eyes as much. They would still be there showing that Okuyasu still isn’t that smart, but can be a little more creative compared to what we have now.
By "Okuyasu-Proof" I thought you meant incapable of erasing Okuyasu instead of immune against his stupidity, which made so confused - though admittedly not as confused on learning that the topic of this video was discussed enough such that it needed a video; like, I was perfectly alright with his character throughout Part 4, I didn't think he was even underpowered to a point he needed a buff.
The hand is slightly more broken because if okayasu grabbed his opponent’s with the hand’s left hand then erased with the right hand then he just destroys all enemies that get into the hand’s pull range then the hand will grab and insta-kill
I think the best way to make the Hand fit the narrative better would have been to make it only affect inorganic material, which is already what it's mostly used for anyway, besides the time he tried to destroy Red Hot Chili Pepper, but he's made of electricity which isn't organic so that could still work.
That’s a main reason as to why Gogeta > Vegito. EVERY instance of Gogeta has ALWAYS defeated their enemy while Vegito has ALWAYS been defeated by the enemy and doesn’t make enough damage/impression last like Gogeta always does.

Fusion Dance was made for beings like Saiyajins who can master their control over their power level while Potara Earings are for Kais that don’t have nearly close to the power level/control over it as beings like Saiyajins so it’s an incompatibility of an upgrade item vs. technique made for two entirely different races/species of beings.
my favorite stand is the hand just because how simple yet cool his stand is like the power is simple yet op the model looks sick while again being quite simple and also the swipe sounds is like so addictive so yeah the hand is a beautiful stand
In the right hands.....the hand would be deadly..... but with okuyasu it's just something that he uses to remove space....and okuyasu isn't dumb....he's just nice
I know this is a year ago but like in the episode where koichi’s stalker ( forgot her name) was introduced. He okoyasu put out the fire in the class rep’s hair by swiping it away really quickly with speed comparable to shining diamond’s barrage attack.
That's what I've been saying! Okuyasu kinda tries to seem all badass, but he's a kind person, he wouldn't just KILL PEOPLE. His stand is too powerful and any small mistake could end up in terrible circumstances. Can you imagine what it would feel like to be able to just SWIPE STUFF OUT OF REALITY, or whatever? That's too much to handlefor someone like Okuyasu, who doesn't want to harm other people (like Keicho did...) ALSO, I'm so tired of the "okuyasu is dumb lololoXD" just because he doesn't want to do any harm to others
Sasori really was done dirty. His only opponents were a perfect counter for his fighting style, paired with a perfect counter for his poison/durability. Almost anybody else would have lost that fight.
The one buff the hand really needs is sentience, somewhat like Hey Ya! Where it will tell Okuyasu if what he’s doing is dumb. Or alternatively it could be as dumb as Okuyasu but at least then they’ll have 2 brain cells instead of 1
I mean, part of how stands work is that they are what they are because of the user. Sure I agree someone else could use it to a larger potential (even without using it in a brutal direct way) but the same could be said for the fact Rohan doesn't use the full potential of Heaven's Door at all and someone who is less respectful of free will could abuse it a lot. The Hand is a strong, straightforward stand just like it's user and whatever extra tricks could be used is an acceptable loss when we get Okuyasu as the person swiping things out of existence. Plus he uses it much better by the end so he does learn and that's what truly maters.
I do wonder if you could use the hand like the plunder ability by deleting specific things from a person or space, like sound, friction, emotions, or anything else
Okuyasu not being able to use the hand smartly is not just dumb, but its also literally crucial to the plot because the hand is literally one of the most broken stands, it literally breaks the laws of matter itself
@@DIDYDYDY Josuke doesn't get to Kira. He loses to Aqua Necklace. Angelo does the whole supermarket robbery, gets done in by Josuke (who use some clever attempt to beat up guy without killing him) and escapes. Angelo proceeds to taint water supply and gets Josuke's mom Hostage. He wins. Of course, you could make the argument that Josuke erases the space between him and Aqua Necklace and wins before the stakeout, but I don't see that as likely. Aqua necklace was a surprise and the Hand would still be too slow. Then there's Akira. He was smart enough to know that The Hand was terrifying and as shown with jotaro, not something he would engage without confidence. Akira charges his stand, attacks Josuke who then loses. RHCP was able to destroy Okuyasu with The Hand in a straight up fight, so I can't see Josuke winning. And remember that RHCP Approaches Josuke before the meeting so he can just run away if Josuke lands a hit. The rats also completely destroy Josuke because he's slower and every instance of healing goes out the window, which eliminates him as anything but a close quarter threat than Jotaro. A lot of DIU is Josuke saving people who get blindsighted where that's not as easy anymore. I'm sure Josuke would still come out on top, but Kira is no longer the threat.
So it's a b in destructive power when he can rip of the world over heavens head if he gets an accurate swipe. I think he should get an infinite in desctuctive power
Ok I SWEAR The Hand's stand stats were WAY different, I distinctly remember an argument people very often used when talking about why Okuyasu never really used his erasure offensively as "It's speed is only a C". Meanwhile it's power was A. Is this the Mandela effect?
Special move: erasing space between enemy and grabbing for neck bfr enemy even has time to react or realise tf happened, then crack neck in less than second
What I want to know is that the hand can even go as far as erasing abstract concepts so the sky is the limit, literally. What if whatever the hand wanted to erase he just has to imagine his hand passing over it or imagine his hand passing through that object at a distance. I feel like the limit to the hand is that his user only imagines that things physically touched by his hand are erased when he could erase entire swathes of mountains if only he could wave his hand in front of his face in a way that makes the hand pass over them Or at least I think that’d be pretty cool if the imagination and creativity of the stands user played into it

Attack: S+
Accuracy: C-
Speed: B-
Durability: B+
Range: f- (its ability pulls in space but it can't move far from its user and the eraser itself is always at arms length, almost all brawling stands have a range of f-)
Attacks: the eraser pulls in objects but that doesn't help range as much as it would have you think, it creates a hole in the universe that the universe must fill causing objects to move as if space was pulling them to an area. He can also eraser zoom but he can't go far, only teleporting at the hands arm length at its maximum distance from okuyasu. (Probably why he has a "D" in the official stat book/eye catcher).
Underrated comment
I think you cant put normal punch power and abilitys power in the same group tho, so... B on attack and S+ on ability
@@Sazuyu I was taking the ability into account as the attack is basically am instant kill of it hits a person
"Equivalent Exchange" i see what you did there
Instead of improving the stand we need to improve the user.
I'm a simple girl...I see Okuyasu, I click. Best Boy of Part 4 👌
“He’s not vanilla ice he’s on our side” damn that was wholesome
Okuyasu would be the ultimate counter for Kira running away right after he gets beatdowned.
"What if... Rohan wrote "smart" in Okuyasu."
The hand would subconsciously swipe it away off of the page because it would be too powerful for this world
@@Jemmie69 unless the page works before being cut off and Okuyasu is smart enough to avoid that
By "Okuyasu-Proof" I thought you meant incapable of erasing Okuyasu instead of immune against his stupidity, which made so confused - though admittedly not as confused on learning that the topic of this video was discussed enough such that it needed a video; like, I was perfectly alright with his character throughout Part 4, I didn't think he was even underpowered to a point he needed a buff.
It would be pretty terrifying to imagine if the hand was being wielded by an evil person.
The hand is slightly more broken because if okayasu grabbed his opponent’s with the hand’s left hand then erased with the right hand then he just destroys all enemies that get into the hand’s pull range then the hand will grab and insta-kill
I like Okuyasu, his stand is dope
Joke's on you, Potemkin is a grappler with ridiculous frame data.
Damn Kaleb doing some meti NTBG sh*t for the intro
I think the best way to make the Hand fit the narrative better would have been to make it only affect inorganic material, which is already what it's mostly used for anyway, besides the time he tried to destroy Red Hot Chili Pepper, but he's made of electricity which isn't organic so that could still work.
My man bringing the DBFZ Vegito hate to the video, I love it XD
Just watched the beginning... Bars.
Also, as a Dragonball fan (if you couldn't tell), I have to agree with your Vegito point; guy can't get a dub.
He’s due for one since he’s capable of dominating his opponent. Back in DBZ I suppose there was reason for it
That’s a main reason as to why Gogeta > Vegito. EVERY instance of Gogeta has ALWAYS defeated their enemy while Vegito has ALWAYS been defeated by the enemy and doesn’t make enough damage/impression last like Gogeta always does.
@@Mizikame Tbh I don’t see why people say Gogetas better because of this lol. He was like, 5 mins left movie duration wise so it’s kinda obvious he’s gonna squash lol
@@specialbeamvegeta4059 So you haven’t watched Fusion: Reborn or the climax of Dargon Ball: GT that Akira Toriyama did actually help out on? He still slams out all of his opponents he comes across while Vegito always de-fuses before making any considerable impact on his opponent.
@@Mizikame I’ve watched both, yes. Vegito was literally bullying like Gogeta did
"Anti-Vegito slander for the year." That's hilarious but also how dare you.
Dude that vegito slander was uncalled for
You should definitely do more ‘what ifs.’
my favorite stand is the hand just because how simple yet cool his stand is like the power is simple yet op the model looks sick while again being quite simple and also the swipe sounds is like so addictive so yeah the hand is a beautiful stand
This is like the perfect example of Okuyasu as a character.
I really want that "what if" video of 300IQ cold blooded killer Okyasu
I am not awake enough for this
My sinple solution is : make him smart , but slow
"...but he still get outsmarted because... The flower pot"
In the right hands.....the hand would be deadly..... but with okuyasu it's just something that he uses to remove space....and okuyasu isn't dumb....he's just nice
okuyasu is both dumb and nice
he proved that he's dumb when fighting chili pepper
I know this is a year ago but like in the episode where koichi’s stalker ( forgot her name) was introduced. He okoyasu put out the fire in the class rep’s hair by swiping it away really quickly with speed comparable to shining diamond’s barrage attack.
At 4:34
"World domination?"
"That must have been a typo. Mental note: the girl knows too much."
his next video is just gonna be "what if we raised okuyasu from fallout NPC intelligence, to used car salesman intelligence?"
You need to do the what if‘s video on if he was overpowered!
Ah, yes.
A Stand that can erase the void itself and get you from another continent
Okuyasu: Hey mr jotaro san I used za hando to erase the count system on the like button. Ain’t that wacky
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that Kaleb is killing it on these agendas?
Sasori really was done dirty. His only opponents were a perfect counter for his fighting style, paired with a perfect counter for his poison/durability. Almost anybody else would have lost that fight.
buffed okuyasu would just make him a protag "JOkuyasu niJOmura"
‘If okuyasu was a part 5 character’ so much collateral damage
The one buff the hand really needs is sentience, somewhat like Hey Ya! Where it will tell Okuyasu if what he’s doing is dumb.
Or alternatively it could be as dumb as Okuyasu but at least then they’ll have 2 brain cells instead of 1
if rohan wrote smart okuyasu
Speed is inconsistent because we saw how fast our boi was chasing Harvest
If okuyasu CHOOSE to swipe all the friggin enemies in battle and not just leg-barrage them or punch them, he would be the most op character ever ngl
I think the Resolutions this year are beautiful, especially the first and last ones
the new "it just works" is now "he just didn't"
Next time someone bugs me about a mistake I made, I'm gonna say
"I'm stupid on purpose. It just makes sense"
1:05 stand stats are specifically made to compare stands to one another, probably.
Give him Palkia as a stand and Okuyasu will still be Okuyasu, he'd be too kind hearted to unleash its full power.
I love the fact that we still talking bout diamond is unbreakable
Can we talk about the “world domination”? I AM IN-
Interesting question: what if Jonathan joestar was turned into a vampire like dio said he would in phantom blood?
I do wonder if you could use the hand like the plunder ability by deleting specific things from a person or space, like sound, friction, emotions, or anything else
“dont need precision when ur mashing irl”
Great video and kaleb don’t think I didn’t see world domination on the list I’m joking you’re amazing though
Oh yeah gimme more of that Chrono Trigger battle theme in the background 🤤🤤🤤
Yeah when okayasu took town stray cat bombs it was the most hype moment in the part ngl
Okuyasu not being able to use the hand smartly is not just dumb, but its also literally crucial to the plot because the hand is literally one of the most broken stands, it literally breaks the laws of matter itself
2:03 kid going insane with the buttons
Hey Josuke, Look im an overrated meme that someone made a joke about me
Interesting idea, what if the hand was josuske’s stand for DIU, and how would fights run?
Diu ends the second he meets kira
@@shadowofdimentio4618 thank you for the time you put into writing that I would first like to acknowledge that and yes I can zee where ur coming from
Ay I love the pt 4 love!
I just realized your avatar thing looks like that Mystery stand or whatever it was called in part 4's user
I love how litterly everyone says you are to slow to him but he has a b in speed
Saved you a click UA-cam:
No, you cannot make a stand okuyasu proof
Vegito disrespect shall not be tolerated.
The hand could have defeated made in heaven supernatural black hole reset in a smart way.
Cant wait for the
Sasori deserved more fights agenda
The Hand would’ve been a badass main villain stand
He’s not stupid, his intelligence lies in whichever one it of 9 that deals with friendship!
See I'm that powerful
my man alchemized okuyasu's stand
Can Za Hando effects Kamui (Naruto)?
Kamui did connect to kaguyas dimensions so i don't see why it couldn't connect to za hando
So it's a b in destructive power when he can rip of the world over heavens head if he gets an accurate swipe. I think he should get an infinite in desctuctive power
4:32 well Kaleb is gonna get bombed in the comment section
Ok I SWEAR The Hand's stand stats were WAY different, I distinctly remember an argument people very often used when talking about why Okuyasu never really used his erasure offensively as "It's speed is only a C". Meanwhile it's power was A. Is this the Mandela effect?
i feel like its a similar thing to fugo, where if the hand/purple haze was actually useful itd kinda take away from josuke/giorno and insta end fights
Special move: erasing space between enemy and grabbing for neck bfr enemy even has time to react or realise tf happened, then crack neck in less than second
0:25 wait, you're name is kaleb? That's crazy, never would've guessed
Everyone knows that Okuyasu Nijimura's "stand", "The Hand" is one of the most broken "stands" across the "land," "man"
me: "DAMN"
What I want to know is that the hand can even go as far as erasing abstract concepts so the sky is the limit, literally. What if whatever the hand wanted to erase he just has to imagine his hand passing over it or imagine his hand passing through that object at a distance. I feel like the limit to the hand is that his user only imagines that things physically touched by his hand are erased when he could erase entire swathes of mountains if only he could wave his hand in front of his face in a way that makes the hand pass over them
Or at least I think that’d be pretty cool if the imagination and creativity of the stands user played into it
I've always wondered if koichi could have helped more in part 5 if he wasn't just forgotten, personally i think he may have helped out a little at least
