The cards all have multiple meanings, while Cindy's aren't technically wrong they're surface, and they don't connect to who she's reading for (I don't charge when I read but it's usually a collaborative process with the person I'm reading for, but I'm going to sub in my knowledge of ALR)
The two of swords can be about needing to take time ALONE for introspection (ie, don't start dating again anytime soon), the 5 of cups in this context would be about needing to leave the same mistakes she keeps making in relationships behind in order to move forward to a healthier relationship, the Page of Cups reversed is about getting in too deep in a very teenage all or nothing way with relationships) - cups are emotions, empty cups are drained emotions (and with the page being upside down, his cup is empty). Aces are new beginnings, the ace of cups can mean a new romance, but with those cards behind it I would say it's about working on her own emotions and her relationship with herself, hence THERAPIST.

As someone who reads tarot, I think the love reading is Ambie’s love of food. She knows the decision she should make, but she’s willingly blind to it (2 of Swords), she’s too fixated on what was instead of what could be (5 of cups), she’s unwilling to accept any offer of help that’s extended to her or be curious about what her future might look like beyond the scope of her addiction (page of cups, reversed) I see the ace, five and page of cups being really intertwined (note the page holding the cup, plus the spilled cups in the 5 of Cups). The answer is RIGHT THERE, yet she’s blind to it.

As an agnostic individual, I look at tarot as a way of being more introspective. It isn't always obvious what is weighing on the mind and sometimes by asking questions and thinking and interpreting the answers a person might be able to unravel some of that. There is actually a form of tarot called Jungian Tarot readings (like the psychologist Carl Jung) that uses the cards to examine the unconscious mind and that is the principle that I use in my readings.

i think cindy struggles with sense of self and bpd and she kind of gives her entire self to the partner she is with, so she is the ULTIMATE people pleaser. this leads to validating their language and perspectives. i saw this a lot growing up, girls who wanted to impress the boys they liked would excuse their sexist or hateful language and speak it themselves too. i think thats what cindy is doing by saying that phrase. it does not excuse it, in fact it makes it sadder than she is validating a man like that, but it explains it.

as someone who’s read tarot for over 10 years now i just wanted to say that a reader’s skill is in their ability to interpret the cards on your behalf and work with you directly, needing to look up what certain cards mean (there are a LOT, and multiple types of decks as well - mine are elemental rather than traditional for example) does not reflect a reader’s overall skill and knowledge. at most it reflects their experience, and after a decade i’m still looking up cards 😭
Adhd really messes with my ability to remember the cards. Having a non conventional deck where every card is a whole story depicted vs just some sticks and symbolism really helped me connect to the minor arcana but I still look op cards all the time

As a tarot reader i definitely wouldn’t have read those cards that way. To me it’s her refusal to do better and staying stuck in her ways(2 of swords), crying over a missed opportunity(5of cups). Page of cups reversed talks about emotional immaturity..and that’s Amber to a t. Ace of cups give yourself love and grow a little.. pour into yourself and stop seeking it. I would have pulled clarifiers on at least two of the cards.
Ive been reading tarot for over 20 years (and still have to research them sometimes haha) and Cindy's reading isn't -incorrect- but absolutely not how I would have read any of these cards :') even without factoring Amber in, the cards Cindy pulled all had denser meaning that together really do pull out actionable advice and point out a lot of internal issues. Page of cups inverted I immediately take as a stagnation on emotional growth and wellbeing, for example. Five of cups is more introspective than just "moving on", etc.
I feel so annoying writing this comment at ALL because I hate being the weird woo-hoo tarot boy and Cindy's reading is -fine- its just very surface, very basic, but not everyone is able to tap into intuition with them. The cards are just tools in the end, but Cindy needs work in the presentation and in communicating if she wants to do this in any way seriouser than a goofy members only stream.

Im an amateur reader and read only for myself. What I've learned, though, is that there is a level of unethicalness to read for real people while you're still learning. You can end up hurting people or giving bad readings.
Also the spread isn't meant to be read as individual cards but as a whole. The cards interact with each other to convey the message.
Side note: I'd love to see Lamarr Townsend read for ALR.
That’s what got me too, she was just reading the definitions of the cards, like what are you doing girl? It’s a story. How are the cards interacting with each other? One card might mean something positive but if another means something else and it’s facing that card then obviously that card is no longer positive
It can be helpful to exchange readings with other learning readers, but you can get some really bad readings in the process - I have severe anxiety and the 9 of swords comes up for me a lot (whether I'm reading for myself or others). It came up reversed as the first card and the woman who was doing a reading for me by audio notes described having a panic attack, before giving me a really horrific reading about how my partner is selfish, untrustworthy and dangerous (I am literally in the healthiest relationship of my life with the best communication, and he has been an absolute rock while I went through major health issues).
Luckily I could see through the full on snake oil salesman performance and interpret the cards myself (we're poly, it was his first long trip away with another partner, I specifically asked for a poly friendly reader and told her all of this and that I was feeling anxious about it, and asked how to quiet that anxiety - to me the cards actually said my anxiety and past relationship experiences were making me distrustful, and that I needed to reach out to my support network and do something positive/ distracting)

I always tell the people I read for that the ambiguity is the entire point. It’s not supposed to be psychic lol. At least the way I like to look at it, the tarot is made up entirely of archetypes that every person can recognize in their life in some way. Seeing these archetypes laid out in front of us and the conclusions we draw from them and how they interact is an opportunity for the subconscious to become conscious.

Hello All, I have been studying Tarot for about 10yrs and I have gotten plenty of readings from master readers from all over the world. Cindy's style is a bit chaotic but here's how I would break this down...

okay so this is me speaking as someone who has been into tarot for 2 decades now (wow that makes me feel old) and reading this as a general love life 3 card spread:
the third card WAS the action card, showing both her present but also her future if she doesn’t get out of this vicious cycle she’s always in. Amber needs to STOP jumping into new relationships and take the time to actually heal and learn from all prior relationships in order to figure out how she can change her results by changing how she thinks and acts re: love

As someone who has done tarot ive never seen proper readings be done by interpretting the ART. All tarot decks has totally different art for each card so seems weird she was going off the art instead of the variety of meanings of each card.
