I've lost 122 lbs on ozempic (over a 2 year period) and sometimes it just takes time and patience. Doesn't work for everyone, but she never gives anything a decent chance.

I think the reason why she’s getting anxious that semaglutide isn’t working is because from the get go she wants this to be a quick fix. These things take time. She has to trust the process, it’s only been like only a month and she expects huge changes. This is why she fails. Because she wants everything to be instant.

She’s always been like that. She’ll weigh herself every day and if she isn’t losing enough every single day she claims it isn’t working anymore.
The problem is that other people *do* see a big difference in a month…but they’re on the medication *and* exercise and eat right. She just saw weight loss and the meds and thought it would do all the work.
IMO, she wants the shot to melt the weight off while she continues with all of her bad habits, eating whatever she wishes.

As someone who has battled BED - you can eat your way through any appetite suppressant, because hunger is not really the issue. Amber’s appetite isn’t the problem. It’s using food to celebrate, and to cope, and to cheer her up, and for content. Ozempic isn’t going to cure that.
YUP, I also have BED and no medicine is going to be her solution, she needs therapy, but she also refuses to be honest with a therapist, so I have no idea what her solution is.

these medications often don't work until you are on the highest dose. It explains this repeatedly in the insert that comes with the injections. Many people do lose weight before hitting the highest dose, but that is a bonus rather than an expectation. She knows absolutely nothing about these meds its bizarre
It's easy not to know things when you refuse to learn.
At 6 weeks you aren't even on the max dose. If it's not working you go up a dose.

14:32 actually they gave her a vial! She showed it in an earlier vlog. Miss Lynn being an organized queen pre-drew a number of syringes which ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO for any medication! If it comes in a vial, a dose should ONLY be drawn right before being given. Depending on the medication it can degrade and loose potency or, more importantly, those disposable syringes are not a sterile way to keep meds! They do not seal well enough for any kind of long term storage and the plastic can even start to breakdown into the medication. So she’s not wrong, it’s entirely possible the medication is not working or she’s not feeling well because she’s injecting herself with fridge bacteria
Anything that suppresses her appetite is going to be an automatic no go for her.

Deciding not to eat something because you physically can’t and/or you will get nauseous or throw up if you eat more than you should is not a substitute for willpower though. It’s a physical block. I have Gastroparesis so I experience this regularly. “I’m not gonna eat anymore because I’m gonna get sick” is different than “I’m full, I don’t need anymore to eat so I will stop eating.” You know?
GRP1 drugs have been helping people with compulsion issues outside of eating (smoking, drinking, nail biting, etc) which is great. In that sense, it should be helping Amber. Yet without it “working” all she thinks about is food.
Leaning more towards she overeats out of boredom and she’s an “emotional eater” (looks for any excuse to eat) rather than she has a food addiction. Beyond that, she’s lazy and wants the change without putting in any work or effort. I have family members like this.
I’m almost 100% sure that Amberlynn thought Ozempic/Semiglutide was the miracle drug that would let you binge and lose weight. As soon as she mentioned she was forcing herself to eat (for protein of course) I had flashbacks to the Destiny era and her forcing herself to eat three slices of pizza while taking a weight loss pill.

This is SO FRUSTRATING as someone on a similar drug, starting about the same time as Amber. The drug isn't meant to completely eradicate your hunger. A lot of people think because they feel so awful in the first month that it will continue to work to that level, but your body gets used to it and it becomes a tool you HAVE to use ALONGSIDE willpower and consistent good choices. I've found over the last week or two I've had to be so mindful of eating well, because I'm hungrier again. But *if* I make the good choices, I get full faster than I used to, and I'm losing 2lbs a week without much effort. I've also been in therapy every. Single. Week. Talking about my triggers and habits.
So she's going to quit because her appetite is back, basically, and she hasn't done the psychological work to cope with whatever feelings hunger triggers for her.
Same sh1t, Different day / week / month / year.

I’m on semaglutide now as a treatment combined with other medication for rheumatoid arthritis. She’s 💯 eating through nausea and frustrated she can’t eat like a glutton. She’s preparing us for quitting semaglutide and starting a fall surgery arc. 🙄
