Hey Doc! I chat with you couple of months ago about my health.
In 2016 I was diagnosed with a small carcinoid tumor on my trachea and I got scared and I turned into a vegan diet thinking it's the most healthy diet. 5 years goes by nothing happened for the first 2 years was stable but the last 3 increased in size, my blood work was upside down , and one year ago I turned carnivor over night and you told me to continue and check my glucose to make sure to keep it down.
One week ago I did a ct scan to see what happened and my results are positive the tumor shrink 3 mm. Is not much but I'm happy for the results I will continue.

As a former Royal Marine I enjoyed this. 10 months ago a nutritionist friend looked in my fridge, (cooler) and laughed! What is all this low fat stuff? I was mortified, thinking how healthy I was. She said she had to lie during her exams to become MSc to comply with the low fat high carb curriculum. So with an open mind I agreed to trial high fat low carb for 90 days. Wow what a difference, been carnivore ever since and not going back.

At church they always pray for health and vitality of all His followers. I thank God for showing me lifestyle and true true healing. Creating the ideal environment inside my body with carnivore diet so that the Lord can do His healing His way. Trying to heal up a stress fracture so I can get back to carnivore marathon running! Which btw got this dang stress fracture during a 1.5 month stent with VEGANISM lol idk what I was thinking! Ready to be back and healed and spreading the good word!!!!🥩🏃🏼‍♀️

@@kinggrimm4338 God is the science. He's basically everything. No other explanation. Unless you're going with "nothing and BAM, bunch of stuff." That takes more faith than believing the God. For me, the BAM came with "Let there be light," ...and there was light. Boom. I prayed for wisdom...and boom, found carnivore. And He shows up in everything. Not invisible to me. Try reading the Bible straight through. It's life-changing. Until then, be thoughtful and careful in your attacks. God will not be mocked.

I really liked Jake's marathon story. It was quite similar to mine own except the not drinking water part. I had electrolyte water with me on my first marathon and a couple carnivore bars 😃. I went about 20 years without running. Then about 8 months into carnivore I decided to give running a try again and all the issues that used to bother me didn't come up. So about 2 months into restarting my running I decided to do a full marathon. I've never done a half marathon. Like Jake though, I hit the wall around mile 16-17 and just had to fight through a couple miles. I recall eating my carnivore bar at that point and was good to go by the end of the race. I also felt good after, despite some sore muscles and drove myself 1.5 hours to get back home. I'm also a military vet!

As someone who went from SAD to vegetarian to vegan to even raw vegan (all the while eating everything else cause I was never too strict) I can attest to the waste and then the difference it makes eating carnivore (which has always been easier to be strict about). At first I thought I was clogging up my body cause I wasn't going as much, but then I had the same epiphany that I was using everything and nothing was being wasted.

Love this! I Started learning about carnivore diet almost a year ago & slowly changing the diet & feeling great. December 2020, I had a 1cm. cancerous tumor removed from my breast. Right before the surgery, someone suggested I do a 10 day fast, eating only fresh fruits & veggies. For me, that was not a problem. (I’ve never been a vegan or vegetarian, nor will I ever be.) after about 3 days on the fast, I noticed my poop didn’t smell, there was actually no odor. The thing is, I was already healthy. One might ask, ‘we’ll how does a healthy person get cancer? Yeah, that’s one of my questions 🙄 So as soon as I was told about the cancer, I went & did my own research & stopped eating & using anything that causes cancer. Like they say, you have to listen & pay attention to your body. Only you know how you feel when you eat or use something on your body. Btw, I didn’t need chemo, but they wanted me to do radiation & this 5 year pill, which I refused & I’m still very healthy. (Not suggesting this to anyone)
Sorry for it being so long. I tried to give the shortest version as possible. Be blessed 💕

I hiked almost half the Appalachian trail in two months as a carnivore and everyone along the way kept telling me I couldn’t do it without carbs. My response was “but I am”. @@jonahsmith3614 yes that and I took a whole very fatty roast sliced thicker slices and dehydrated it. I used a food saver to seal the jerky in manageable sizes to fit into my front pockets. I had to remind myself to snack along the way because I wasn’t always hungry but I too didn’t want to loose too much weight. When I got to town I would eat the fattiest burgers with extra bacon and cheese. I got the idea of the fattier jerky from a video Dr Chaffee did. This was an amazing guest - I so agree with him that if I can understand WHY something is happening or the right thing to do or the healthy thing I am SO much more likely to do it and to stick with it than if it's just called the "right thing." I don't believe that anymore. The number of times I've "believed" would be embarrassing, but we really didn't have access to this information before. Thank You

Most people believe the only detrimental affect of eating ultra processed. Food and the S.A.D. is gaining unwanted weight. They don’t really believe it’s causing all of these metabolic conditions people are suffering from. It’s ironic they are experts on cholesterol though, they can tell me how dangerous my high LDL is but they can’t put down the Chick-fil-A, Starbucks or the Dunkin’ Donuts.

Trying to reverse kidney failure whilst on dialysis eating carnivore. It’s not easy but the more i watch and listen the more hope i have. Thank you Dr Chaffee for all you do, i used to be so strong being a builder all day and lifting weights most days, then after 25 years of pushing it on a carb rich diet my kidneys packed up and my bp went to 235/140. Started dialysis 2020 just after id gotten married and my life fell apart. Couldn’t get a hold on my bp for a long long time, not until i started carnivore much to the horror of my clinic nurses and nephrologists. A couple of months in my bp is down to 170/85 on average, still taking 4 different bp meds but suddenly they don’t seem to be doing much with no side affects like before. I am in complete control of my oedema now and my urine has started to darken as opposed to just passing clean water urine which tells me theres some proper function going on with my kidney beans. I’ve stopped having kidney pain that was noticeable with certain meals including carbohydrates. I think I’ve always been carb sensitive and when i think of all the sugar and anabolic post window carbs i stuffed into me 🤮 and yet the nurses and doctors are still pushing carbs even to the diabetics at my clinic and I’d say 80% of the patients there have become diabetics whilst on dialysis.
I’ve started exercising again, don’t seem to need much sleep, my skin tone is better, my stomach has abs, i look more muscular and ripped yet i have gained 5 kg in a couple of months and am having to lie about my dry weight to the nurses or they will just try to take more fluid off me even though i look like an anatomy chart under my clothes. Theres just not much fluid to come off anymore, i feel almost bad when i look at the other patients scoffing toast and biscuits and i just wait til i get home for some beef mince. I dare not say anything because these diabetics are told carbs are important and I’ve upset 2 people already saying that sugar carb’s aren’t helping them and they get very defensive 🙄 i hope i won’t need dialysis one day and can live a normal life again, it’s a massive burden and although it’s saved my life so far I can’t help feeling I wouldn’t have needed it at all had i known about eating this way years ago. My advice to anyone would be don’t avoid going to the doctors for check ups and blood tests, had i not avoided the dr’s for 20 years i could have been diagnosed at an earlier stage and saved some damage on my kidneys from the diet and the high blood pressure. Due to the dietary advice from the docs i tried vegetarianism, veganism, juicing, fruitarian and all that happened was a decline from 10% function down to 3% function in 3 months and hospitalisation with severe oedema and potassium overload. The vegan diet is dangerous so why are they pushing it to the masses? To get us all on meds? Crazy times

Hi friend. I got shot in the kidney (Wagner group Syrian oil field) and I was on dialysis. They told me I'd have to stay on it because of the scar tissue in my kidney. I am no longer on dialysis friend this diet seems to have even taken care of the scar tissue on the interior of the kidney (something by the way that the doctors said was "impossible"). I just thought I'd take the time out of my day to let you know that in my humble opinion there are "doctors" that pumped me full of medication and told me there was nothing I could do and to just adjust and live with it and my new sick reality and DOCTORS like Dr Chaffee and there is a HUGE chasm of a difference. In my opinion the difference your mind and mental framework makes to your recovery and health is also HUGE and you seem to be in the right place friend. I recovered from dialysis with my kidney apparently looking like "Someone got a cigarette lighter and burnt a section of it meaning it simply will not be able to filter or function properly ever, think of a bathroom sponge that's been burnt with a lighter and it's ability to filter the water through" etc etc blah blah. They ALL turned out to be wrong friend. This diet truly redefines what "health" actually is and sets a new bar on what a human being can actually recover from as each individual mitochondria has greater ATP than what's considered "normal" (it's just a biological acronym for energy really friend) so there is DEFINITELY light at the end of the tunnel for you as I am literally living proof that dialysis isn't permenant in some instances and if you are properly nourished it's mind blowing what your body is capable of recovering from we are literally like wolverine when properly nourished. Chin up our bodies WANT to be functioning optimally and now that you are dealing with the nutritional side friend ANYTHING is possible. Sending you positive healing vibes you got this x

I do think that genetics play a huge role also, because you see guys like Clint Eastwood who has eaten lots of soy and lots of fruit and is 93. Tommy LaSorda was another good example of genetics; he was fat his entire life and died in his nineties.

Dr. Chaffee - would you agree at all with this -- our bodies are not machines but intelligent intricate complex systems that have a drive or agenda to thrive and survive - and what we eat is not just fuel and building material but also information and messaging and instructions that can either work in sync with the body's goals and agenda or against them. The body will always attempt to thrive and sustain optimal life but an onslaught of destructive messaging, supply chain obstruction and confusion, and toxins and repeated insults will eventually wreck it and kill it.

Food that had gone through the process of being sacrificed to strange God's. The message to me was that vegan makes you fat. Personal experience vegetarian made me fat quickly. I believe I didn't do it right. However that is the problem. Too complicated.

  • @JennifertxCarnivore
    @JennifertxCarnivore Рік тому +6

Great video Dr. Chaffee! I have never listened to Jake Thomas before and he has great analogies! I loved the one that our body does best when given one item that is packed full of nutrition( which I am adding is packed with all the nutrients we need in a day- beef and other remanent meats! Example- beef-it is a food pyramid all by itself! In fact- someone should design a food pyramid on just the cow and show it’s breakdown in a food pyramid fashion-it alone is a healthy balanced diet!) But Jake’s analogy on how like a human baby with breastmilk and getting all it needs, anyone weaned from that and moving to remanent meat- the human body says- “oh, ok, it’s just beef- we are good, can work and build while beef alone is here.” But when we add a bunch of other mess- including plant based foods- processed or whole (raw or cooked) the body can’t relax and has to be constantly focused on figuring out where all that mess goes and if plant based it’s working hard to flush it out and any other toxins (like sugar and fiber- both plant based) that enter your mouth!
Ok, speaking from my heart and venting a bit, I recently found out that the 7th Day Adventists Christians are the ones that designed our current food pyramid, RDA, they own companies like Kellogg’s and Coca Cola, are running our “health” organizations and wrote curriculum for doctors on health and nutrition for medical school. Also found out that they are the ones making the “fake meats” and lab grown ones. That they created the vegan and vegetarian diets, first called the “Garden of Eden Vegan Diet” and how their agenda was to harm hormones, prevent fertility, but main was they knew plants harm the body and said they would rather be sick for a lifetime and rise at the end of their time than eat meat that makes us healthy. And the more people they have on their Eden Vegan Diet, or just heavy plant based with little to no meat- then they have succeeded.
I understand currently that not all 7th Day Adventists Christians are doing this- that even many are going carnivore- and that’s awesome! They are feeling so healthy. But the 7th Day Adventists Christians that are still pushing the plant heavy diets for their agenda onto the whole human race as they think that will help them rise at the end- I don’t agree with that religious agenda being secretly forced on the human race. That’s why I hope the food pyramid is redone and based on science- not their religious ideology like the current one made by them. The RDA needs to be redone and based on true science! That the Big plant food industry’s power to make decision on human kinds nutrition be made illegal and not allowed. They can’t be allowed to buy into organizations like the AHA. Also, unless a school is a “7th Day Adventists Christian Schoon that clearly states their food rules of “no meat” days and “vegan” days- bought or brought from home- regular public schools should NOT be allowed to force “no meat” or “vegan” days on students due to that also being a 7th Day Adventist Christian Religious Ideology that you can’t force on regular public school kids in any country! And them taking children’s home packed lunches from a child that contain animal meat because they brought it on a “vegan” or “no meat day” is a lawsuit waiting to happen if in a regular public school!
But I hope the world understands that our current food pyramid and RDA, and all the nutrition and health bologna from the past 150+ years was purely run off a religion based 7th Day Adventists Christian ideology- not science based at all! I just want to keep repeating this here- but our food pyramid is not science based! That’s why everyone is sick with illnesses, diseases, and cancers! Humans are not meant to consume a heavy plant based diet- and plants today are not the same as they were long ago when humans barely ate them to get by- and were only seasonal! But humans ate mainly meat!
It just upsets me that everyone is so brainwashed off a religion based ideology and they have no clue on that! If the world had stayed more human ancestral with a primarily meat heavy and animal saturated fat based diet- the world would be a very different place! Peace would be more wide spread! All the wars we have seen probably wouldn’t have been or not as bad, science and technology would be way further along! Who knows- we could have been traveling to other planets easily by now! Humans would know their true born identify- hormones not screwed up! The human race would be living closer to 120 like our telomeres show! People would have been so much happier! No illnesses, diseases, and cancers! I want to see this carnivore diet continue to spread- and letting people know that the current food pyramid was a religious 7th Day Adventists Christian religious ideology, human kind would snap out of this plant based brainwashed matrix faster and go carnivore. Hope more realize the truth. Big Pharma and Big plant food industry took a greedy profit margin take from the 7th Day Adventists Christians agenda when they got involved and the two corrupt masses went full swing to make human kind sick! Time to end the plant based matrix and unplug everyone so they can see the truth! (I love saying analogies too! Haha ☺️).
The carnivore diet is the human ancestral way of eating, not a fad! And science includes observable data collecting! Well, we can clearly see the thousands healing on a carnivore diet! From people just beginning carnivore to people like Maggie White, age 82 but looks like she is 60 or less-she on carnivore for 65+ years and still working on her ranch daily for 14+ hours! She’s super healthy!
Have a great day Dr. Chaffee! I appreciate you and all that you do!

Great question. In short, the human body does not “need” fiber. Additionally, as your fiber consumption goes up, so does your risk of developing diverticular diseases. One study found that people who ate more fiber and had more bowel movements also had a higher likelihood of colon disease. As far as gut bacteria, carnivore dieters’ gut bacteria are so clean and healthy and they likely outnumber cells 100 to 1.

I weight about 235lbs at the moment. Maintaining it is easier on carnivore than anything else, as even when I don't workout I never lose much muscle, or gain fat. I stay very constant as long as I eat enough.
You need to eat as much meat as tastes good, try at least twice a day to make sure you're getting enough. I like to lift weights 4 days a week at least, but rarely have the time to. When I do, my appetite will literally double. When I eat my fill when working out, I stack on muscle more quickly than I ever have in the past

I really like this content and I am learning a lot, but still have a lot of reservations about jumping into this with both feet. Is there actually long term studies of people being on carnivore. With people doing this for periods of 10 years we still don`t have overall conclusive evidence that it stops heart disease and cholesterol in all human types as I don`t think there`s a large enough data group to support it. The arguments about todays crappy diets holds validity, but still wonder about fruits and vegetables. It is said that plants defend themselves through toxins whereas animals defend themselves through their nature. What`s the difference? It's just that we have figured out how to kill animals and get past their defenses without being poisoned. It's just an alternative argument I have which I wish someone could shed light on.
