Great video man. I used your oil change video along with my Haynes manual to change out my fluids recently. I'll have to take a look at the air filter next. As for videos I'd like to see? Fairing/plastics removal/assembly. I have a bad feeling I'm missing alot of the plastic pins and screws needed to attach them to the bike, so that's my next and biggest project as of now. Literally everything plastic is off the bike and whatever screws the PO left me are in bags with no organization... Definitely an undertaking for a video but I'm sure you'd get plenty of views. Cheers!
Kigga Plays Thank you for the comment, I'm glad I could help. I have a chain adjustment video in editing coming out soon. If you have any questions please ask.
Thank you for the support, no I have not had to replace either of those parts yet. There is an FZ6R Facebook page that is a great resource for maintaince help like that.
Nice video :) great idea to just use he go pro on the helmet, it works well. My request would be for the spark plugs. Not sure if you have to take off the air intake plastic. Cheers
nice. thanks for that. i've gotten as far as replacing the air filter, but got intimidated by removing the body of the filter housing to get deeper. I can see the first and last spark plugs by looking through the cowling (i have a naked.. )
Great video. I need to do the air filter, coolant and plugs on my 2009 (26K miles). I searched and cant find a video for that on the FZ6R. Let em know when you post it.
Christopher Young I have an air filter video out now. I had my coolant and spark plugs done not looking ago so it'll be a while before any videos come out on those. Thank you for your support
Great video, i actually have the same bike. Unfortunately i had to do a motor swap and at the last steps of getting it all back togethor ive forgotten where a few minor things go. Was hoping you could take a look at yours and help me out. . Whats in question is the 4 plugs that comes out of the back "closest to the front" under the air box connected to the bottom of where the injectors go into .. they have hard plastic plugs covering the tube on each.. second the hoes next to the engine sensor and the thermostat ... and lastly there is 3 tubes on the right side of the radiator where i only can find 2 hoses to fill thoes spots. . It might be a lot to ask but really hoping you could help me out. Thanks.
I really appreciate the support, I'd love to help but describing where things should go isn't the best for the comments section. If you do want help theres a great Facebook group with tons of people who can post pictures and tell you exactly what you need. If you search, Yamaha FZ6R in groups you should find them, best of luck.
I appreciate the support, but I do not have a video on that yet. There are R6 videos you can reference since they are very similar. I hope it works out for you.
There is a screw on the throttle cable right off the right hand grip. You can adjust the tension from there and even get it to idle higher. As for a change to the engine itself I am not sure. But 800 to 1000 rpms is about what mine idles at after it's been warm.
Keep making maintenance videos for the fz6r!
Jake P Thank you for the support.

Thank you for the video. Just got my K&N air filter in the mail about to try this later this evening
Excellent video sir. I'd like to see a short video on how to adjust the idle. Or possibly spark plugs. Great work man.

Once again a great video for FZ6R owners. Next video please do the brakes.

Great video but why didn't you just push the bike outside where it was light out instead of using a flashlight?
Did you do a spark plug video?

Hey I was wondering what’s the bolt in between The 2 tank bolts , mine is missing
I’m ready to replace spark plugs, do you have a video? If so, could you please share the link? Thank you.

I have a question. My motorcycle is idling low, and I believe need to adjust the throttle on it. How do I do that on the Yamaha fz6r 2009?

It's an allen "wrench"... keys are for turning/unlocking, wrenches are for tightening/torquing.
What’s up Hellish? Please, if the filter’s dirty with it cause your bike to smoke a bit when you rev it up?
