Переглядів 40010 років тому
I have a big cut and a lot of bruising on my right hand. I still have to ride and this is how I do it. Take it slow, Use your rear break and engine breaking mostly. Stay away from aggressive riding. If you can't ride, take a few days, no need to make your hand worse. Enjoy riding!!!

I would of like you see hit all 6th gear 👌🏾
What kind of spool you got ?? Pass the link please
what windshield is that. I need one pls
We're did you get your windshield?
I’m crying u said u barely hit 60 on it that crazy to me I be pushing on it i might just be crazy I also live on the emerald coast witch u take the same long ass straight road or 2 to go anywhere fr
Pretty smooth 👌
Thank you for the video. Just got my K&N air filter in the mail about to try this later this evening
what city
Ames, IA
@@theastronautbiker7387 I thought it might be somewhere in Minnesota as I saw you had a few afton alps videos
@@Sickvideos19 I did a lot of traveling back and forth between the states back then.
I own a 2013 fz6r. I love it, it's very versatile. It does nothing great but does everything well. Actually I think it looks great. I will probably own mine forever.
Great video but why didn't you just push the bike outside where it was light out instead of using a flashlight?
what bike would be a 10 out of 10 beginner bike?
10 out of 10 beginner would be something in the 300cc range. Ninja 300, R3 or similar. But I would caution against those as you may outgrow those sooner rather then later. A 500 or 600 is a bit more for a beginner to learn on but they aren't bad for learning at all. Just be careful and go slow with it.
Where did you get your brake and clutch levers, were they difficult to install?
Full tune video
Thanks.... that saved me some time and energy 👍
Great video Question for u have u done fuel filter? And also clutch? IV done 73000km and it's time I think
Thank you for the support, no I have not had to replace either of those parts yet. There is an FZ6R Facebook page that is a great resource for maintaince help like that.
Did you do a spark plug video?
Hey I was wondering what’s the bolt in between The 2 tank bolts , mine is missing
Do u feel its too heavy?
Thanks for the support, no I don't but I'm a big guy at 6'2 and 225. It is big for its class though
I had a 94 ZX7R it wasn't the fastest in it's class but it was a confidence inspiring bike , extremely stable and rock solid handling, the mid range was decent, ok top end punch.
Try a 170/55 or 170/60 rear tire. It's my favorite thing I did to mine. You can lean alot more and way more stable.
Excellent video sir. I'd like to see a short video on how to adjust the idle. Or possibly spark plugs. Great work man.
Thank you for the support.
Great video, i actually have the same bike. Unfortunately i had to do a motor swap and at the last steps of getting it all back togethor ive forgotten where a few minor things go. Was hoping you could take a look at yours and help me out. . Whats in question is the 4 plugs that comes out of the back "closest to the front" under the air box connected to the bottom of where the injectors go into .. they have hard plastic plugs covering the tube on each.. second the hoes next to the engine sensor and the thermostat ... and lastly there is 3 tubes on the right side of the radiator where i only can find 2 hoses to fill thoes spots. . It might be a lot to ask but really hoping you could help me out. Thanks.
I really appreciate the support, I'd love to help but describing where things should go isn't the best for the comments section. If you do want help theres a great Facebook group with tons of people who can post pictures and tell you exactly what you need. If you search, Yamaha FZ6R in groups you should find them, best of luck.
Refreshingly, honest review! Thanks for posting and take care!👍😎
Thank you for the support.
Great bikes. I had 2 Suzuki SV-650’s and I prefer the FZ6.
I have a question. My motorcycle is idling low, and I believe need to adjust the throttle on it. How do I do that on the Yamaha fz6r 2009?
There is a screw on the throttle cable right off the right hand grip. You can adjust the tension from there and even get it to idle higher. As for a change to the engine itself I am not sure. But 800 to 1000 rpms is about what mine idles at after it's been warm.
I’m ready to replace spark plugs, do you have a video? If so, could you please share the link? Thank you.
I appreciate the support, but I do not have a video on that yet. There are R6 videos you can reference since they are very similar. I hope it works out for you.
good very good thanks
Thank you for the support.
..have you ridden the other bikes?
Yes I had, at the time of the video I had ridden both bikes seen hete.
Scary at the end when your dad went to pass that truck and immediately had to swerve back into his lane. Gotta make sure there's enough room to blast before passing a long truck. Glad he didn't just go for it.
It was but everything ended up alright. Thank you for the support
Do you live in the U.P? I used to live up there and it looks familiar
Hello, I appreciate the support on the video. No I don't live in the UP. This video was shot in northern Minnesota and Canada on the Lake Superior shore.
The Astronaut Biker thanks for the reply. It’s looks so nice up there. Great review by the way!
It's 5.1 fuel tank
no its not 5.1
Not 5.1
I think he means US gallon which is 3.785 litre. Imperial gallon is 4.546 litre
Because ya on a real bike zx7r for ever moving faster than the speed of love
Nice review. How fast would you push this for extended periods of freeway riding?
That really depends on your comfort level. I could ride this bike all day and with only a few stops to stretch the legs. I am completely comfortable taking this bike across the country if I wanted to.
You can tell American motorcyclist 10 minute rideing test in DMV parking lot then released out on the open road, rideing in left lane and faster traffic going up inside them, zx7 rider not really road safe.
Thanks for the support.
don't think wd40 is good on o ring chains doesn't PIay nice with rubber and drives out the grease out of the rollers
I don't leave it on long enough for it to cause damage. My chains haven't been wearing prematurely at all so I am comfortable with it.
was getting bit worried with your cornering lol. was waiting for you going of into the scenery lol. ride to your limits not the others speed!!😉
It was a fun ride, I wasn't worried about the road or having an issue. If you get a chance I highly reccomend it.
isn't it just a diversion? some people think these are same as fx6, but far less of a bike.
The FZ6R is the same as an xj6. The FZ6 is similar but they are different.
Can you do a video on adjusting the clutch cable , replacing brake fluid
Fantastic video man. Nuff said
Thank you for the support.
I'm tossing between a 2016 fz6r or an 2016/2017 mt07 I'm really not sure I like both haha
I haven't ridden the MT 07 yet but it has definitely caught my eye. If you can I would recommend a test ride of both before you buy. I do love the FZ6R and I won't be giving it up ever.
@@theastronautbiker7387 true I have ridden an mt07 I love the power and that it can be a bike for life after I get a full license but only thing that annoyed me was the foot pegs when I would bring my foot up it caught the Velcro on my race boots it's a small thing but annoyed me haha need to test ride the fz the one I want is about 2 hours away
@@MiaMariaMedia I would recommend a test ride just to make the decision final before you buy. You can easily switch out the foot pegs or just get used to how they are.
@@theastronautbiker7387 that's true! It's a big decision since one is worth $8k the other is worth 10k best make it right first time haha
@@MiaMariaMedia Exactly, let me know which one you decide to go with.
Glad to see you uploading again. Please mind your early turn in on corners. I've had lane crossers on tighter curves. Best to give yourself a bit of room to correct and adopt a later apex. Landscape is beautiful. Ride safe!
Thank you for the support. This ride I did a few years ago with some friends and had a blast. I've definitely learned a lot since then and continue to push myself everytime.
Where's the turkey footage?
I wasn't recording when that happened unfortunately.
It's an allen "wrench"... keys are for turning/unlocking, wrenches are for tightening/torquing.
What’s up Hellish? Please, if the filter’s dirty with it cause your bike to smoke a bit when you rev it up?
how does it handle slow speed maneauver?
Shirra T It handles really well. It is capable of making really tight turns as long as the rider is capable of making them.
Need More Power!
Dustin C. Slade I still have the bike and love it. I don't need any more power then what this has.
u just talked me into getting a 2017 fz6r. thank you. they are un crating it today.
chicken sandwhich andy I am glad I could help you in the decision. I'm sure you'll enjoy riding it as much as I do.
Great motorcycle, I agree. Great BEGINNER motorcycle? Not with all that plastic. Beginners need something that is droppable without causing hundreds of bucks' worth of damage. When I driveway dropped my SV650, I scratched the bar end and bent the handlebar. That's it. You're wrong about ear plugs. Your hearing adjusts and you can hear everything you need to hear, but the wind blast won't deafen you. Give them an honest try; it'll save your hearing when you're an old man. I'm amazed that I went my first year riding without plugs. I'd never go back, even with good wind protection. (I had a Concours and an FJR)
Jeremy D Thank you for your input. I find it you put some frame sliders on the plastics wont scratch from a drop. Yes I've dropped it and it's been fine. Personally I already have hearing loss so I try to save what I can when I can. Has a great forgiving power band and is cheaper on insurance for a 600cc which is why I reccomend it.
I'm 69 and only started riding at 31. Never used earplugs and after more than 150000 km I pay for my stupidity! So use earplugs please guys.
How do you change spark plugs on this bike
Imran H You have to take the tank off to get to the air box and then take that off. I'll make a video for it when I have to change mine but it wont be for awhile.
Does it have a gear indicator
CAMARO_KYLE It does not. It's not hard to remember what gear you are in based on your speed and rpm gauge
The Astronaut Biker PHUCK
CAMARO_KYLE lmao
Great video. I need to do the air filter, coolant and plugs on my 2009 (26K miles). I searched and cant find a video for that on the FZ6R. Let em know when you post it.
Christopher Young I have an air filter video out now. I had my coolant and spark plugs done not looking ago so it'll be a while before any videos come out on those. Thank you for your support
