Thanks for the tips, and I've been hearing a lot about these. I recently got a FZR6, last week. I'm really liking it. I was thinking about getting this.
The power commander really woke the bike up I found. It might do some popping, I had to get block off plates and stuff. But I think you will enjoy. Alot of people say its a waste of money, but I can assure you its not.
Just a heads up the new power commanders can't run the full tune. You'll see the 18-42% values will be 15% on the PC6 and PCFC. They also use a different file type. If you can get a PC5 that's the one you want!
Hey my suggestion for the best bang for the buck is hands down advancing the timing by 3 degrees it’s super easy to do free and gives the Fz6r about 10 extra horses
@@RideThe6 yes cams air intake manifold and throttle bodies plus it’s it timed to 10 degrees while the Fz6r is tuned to 6 degrees tuning the Fz6r to 9 degrees makes it far more peppy dropped the rpm for power wheelies by nearly 3000 rpm and will fully stand up without clutch
Thanks for taking the pain to share the setup info. Your bike sounds amazing. I have a 2013 fz6r with PC V on it with a twin brothers exhaust. Been riding it 3 years, almost 27 K miles with no complaints. I have never ridden a stock fz6r so can’t tell the difference!
How did that tune work for your bike? I’m from pa and have a delkvic full exhaust system and want to put some block off plates on and try this tune. But was wondering if it’s safe to run it considering I have a different exhaust system? I’m also from PA. Not sure if that makes a difference on how the tune works since he’s from Canada.
@@Dirtbikeboy557 the Hindle tune is absolutely superior to all other tunes I’ve experimented with thus far. It’s the only one I bother to run these days!
I just got a 2014 FZ6R and it's got the 8 inch delkevic exhaust on it, it sounds very nice as is but I'm not sure if anything was done to it performance wise. It seems to have alot of get up and go but I'm also a very light person in comparison haha I'm wanting to install a power commander on this bike how exactly would I tune it to the specific exhaust or does that even matter? Sorry if that's a dumb question I just started learning about the power commander and different exhaust combinations I'm also looking into the timing and such to try and pull more out of it
There are a few tunes available. You could try my hindle tune as well. It might not matter a whole lot. But it may vary slightly depending om your height to sea level.
Does your bike have the AIS valve still or did you use the block off plates? I get some pops on decel around 5-2k but i'm wondering if it's because my PCFC can't run the full tune or if it's because I use an LV-10 slip on with an r6 header instead if the Hindle. I have a k&n with caps instead of block off plates. I got the tune from half click up and converted it to the new file type.
@@RideThe6 Good to know. Do you think that's rich burning fuel or lean to the point enough air mixes into the exhaust to allow for burn? I plan on messing with it this weekend doing +-5-10% either side at 3-5.5k at 0 throttle. I've heard racers like to run rich on the low end so if the guy that tuned it was a racer (if i remember correctly) then that might have been his mentality?
Is there anywhere I can get this map? Im running marthys sport A right now and am getting mad decel popping and would like to try this map. Running pretty much the same set up as Half click is.
If I got a k&n filter and kept ecu and exhaust system stock will my bike run leaner, I’m going through your comments and watching as I’m writing this and it seems that is the case. Also is it worth just buying a k&n filter if I don’t upgrade exhaust system and or put in a power commander ? Also if I decided to just do k&n filter is it bad for my engine to be running leaner? Also I must say I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while and you seem very knowledgeable. I’m finally at 8k miles and per the manual it says I should replace spark plugs but I couldn’t seem to find on the manual the best/preferred spark plugs or gap size, I hear iridium NKG CR9EIX is the best to go with do you confirm this?
I would suggest the power commander and K&N filter if you are looking for a small performance upgrade. For more than that, look at the Hindle full system like I have. But you could just run a power commander and K&N, no problem. An air filter on it's own won't do much.
I have everything plugged in correctly but in the software it won’t let me get map or send map. Power commander has power. The only thing I can think of is the software says network disconnect even though I’m on Wi-Fi

How does this get tuned without a wideband such as using an o2 sensor fo readings.
Hindle welded an o2 sensor bung onto my exhaust. That's how then tuned it.
