I need this man to sort out my life changing shoulder pain. I was first diagnosed (I use the word diagnosed lightly )with biceps tendinitis. A scan proved it wasn't that. They said it was a frozen shoulder. The pain has got worse and worse and I found myself at my Dr's every couple of weeks. I was then told it wasn't a frozen shoulder anymore (but they didn''t say what it was) I eventually paid to see an osteopath who thinks I have a deltoid muscle micro tear. At present I am waiting for my hospital appointment at the end of April. I am 6 months or so into this life changing and incredibally painful left shoulder. Every day I find I can no longer do something. I can't do my bra up or undo, I can't take my t shirts off. I can't cut my toe nails in the sitting down position. I can't put up my hair and have to wash it with my right hand (not my left). It might be easier to list what I can do! I don't know where I am going with this or even the shoulder pain but I'm pretty damned sure this amazing Dr would know in an instant what is wrong with me! I wish he was my Dr!

Angie Taylor find a manual therapist in your area. If possible find one who has been trained in the Hendrickson Method. Different than massage therapy. This is what this doc. is doing. Also I find doityourselfjointpainrelief.com very helpful. Good Luck.

Hey this is one of the more helpful videos I've seen on shoulder issues and is especially helpful at isolating the different muscles and what sort of motion they are responsible for. This is great at helping me isolate which muscles are likely causing my pain. Then I know which ones need rehabbing. BTW I love that crawling exercise it really does seem to limber everything up without overstressing any one muscle.

Thank you very much for this video, so very informative. So far I watched it twice, the second time I picked up things I missed the second time. I am currently having issues with my left shoulder. I had left frozen shoulder a few years ago, that wasn't fun, took 2 years to resolve. Generally I don't leave a comment after watching a video, but your video was very helpful so I had to say thank you for taking the time to put it together and posting it.

Im so glad I found this video! Biggest issues for me are the rear delt, upper tricep head, and im pretty sure the traps as well(especially the upper trapezius toward the back of it so that it's almost the rear delt, but still on top like you were describing) I found the last one interesting as it was also at the end of the collar bone as you demonstrated. I've tried so much to help my shoulders and knowing the problem better im sure is going to help me finally heal them. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!

Surgery went well, the dr. tells me. Tmo. (1/13/16) marks 2 weeks behind me, and today I head off for the 3rd PT session. What strikes home the most is the seemingly endless road to recovery, stretching WAY ahead. I cringe a little when I hear experts say things like, "...and during the SECOND 12 WEEKS, you will begin to: etc., etc." Yikes!
There's not much to do but take it slowly and ride this ordeal out. I often think of so many poor people with this injury who DON'T have access to the top professional care I have. What a nightmare!
Thanks for caring! How's your healing after 3 months? That milestone seems SO far off from where I am at the moment! Congrats for getting there!

Had shoulder issues, couldn't do the pullup rotating without excruciating pain. I went to the nearest grass field and spent a few hours there doing the crawling and really listening to my body, while absorbing much needed sunlight. I feel good now, the past few months were a hell because of the pain. I hated every second of it. I feel alive now. Thanks Doc! and thank you Madison!

Awesome, I’ve had chronic shoulder pain for several months since moving a patient, and you nailed it on the head when you you mentioned :- washing or combing your hair. So when I put pressure upon the coracobrachialis the pain goes away and when I release the pain comes back. I will continued to massage the area periodically through out the day and see how it is. Thank you 🙏 you’ve help immensely. 👍

Hi and thanks. After watching your video, I now understand what's going on in my shoulder. I fell about 16 weeks ago and landed on my elbows and ever since have been on Diclofenac and Cocodamol. I pushed my thumb into my Coracobrachialis muscle and for the first time in months managed to touch my ear from the back of my head, and extend to reach above my head, not quite straight but more than I have been able to do in the past few weeks. But have pain in triceps when reaching in my back pocket

Ive seen a few doctors and resolved 90% of the pain but neither of them seem to be able to figure out the remaining issue. I've been working out for over 20 yrs and for the 1st time feeling pain in the negative portion of a shoulder press and side laterals seem to pull on my left front delt. I had heart surgery when I was 3 and have very little upper pec growth on the right side so I assumed it was father time catching up but i found a long deep soreness going across my chest into my pit that I have massaged and it seemed to alleviate the problem. Any ways after thinking my problem was unique due to my surgery, YOUR VIDEO is the first one after endless searching that has helped. THANKS!!!

Very good, easy and logic explanation of the shoulder muscles and functions.
If felt better within 5 minutes with treatment of the subclavical.
I Think the subclavical is one reason for moving the Acromion in the front direction & the humeroradial is no more in the right position.
This causes pain and irritation at the rotator cuff fixation. A overload (Sport, unusual work etc.) had initiate my frozen shoulder.
Thank´s a lot for helping feeling me better !!

I am teaching massage therapists, as well, and it was helpful to see how efficiently you described the shoulder in 14.5 minutes. I would be interested in seeing you address a client with limited ROM of the shoulder cuff to see how you maneuver around their pain and limits.

So from lifting heavy I've developed constant shoulder pain and for the first time I heard something pop in my shoulder. I thought maybe I just needed to stretch, but I went to the doctor who said not to lift heavy for a week. She gave me pain medicine to take twice a day. It already feels better, but I'm afraid I may never be able to do any type of major muscle movements without popping/ straining this shoulder muscle. I was training for muscle ups and basically practicing explosive pull ups the night before. But it actually popped doing leg lifts from a hanging position.

I like the addition of some exercises you recommended too. I was stunned when you mentioned Aspertame directly in your video. I actually drink close to 30oz's of Coke Zero almost every day.
