+slowmomike Im 11 and will that effect my ability to land it? i can flip it and land on the ground but the board is is the air when i hit the ground. So i thought i should just jump higher but then it does a shuvit for some reason.
+slowmomike I love how straight up you are, "If you land with one foot on, I will find you and I will kill you." These vids are ten times better than braille or spencer nuzzi, you cover every single problem and give the best tips. I hope to land my tre flips soon, thanks man +slowmomike
6:53 never related to anything more in a skate tutorial, “one foot off” land halted my progress for months learning kickflips I could’ve been actually learning the trick😭
I watched your kickflip common problems video and it really helped me. It took me over a year to land it and after I watched your video, I landed it the next day. I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!
you took tour time to do this man... pop in vertical position then scoop... finally.. I needed someone to show me what I was doing wrong.... really thanks mike
The tip about putting your front toward the back bolts when first learning really helped me today I decided I want to actaully try to learn tres and I came suprisingly close. Thanks man I comment when I land my first one
Thanks, probably one of the most in depth and detailed trick tip on UA-cam. Just gotta go and try them out now because the other ones dont explain things aswell and you did. you earned a like and subscriber.
believe it or not, ive been struggling with most of my tricks, but when i watch your ultimate trick tips, within the next week, i can land them more consistently.
seriously dude i wan't u to know how much u'r explenation about the scoop of the board was good ! actualy for the first time on youtube someone explaining exactly wtf is hapenning during this motion ! DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH AFTER THAT VIDEO I LAND IT FIRST TRY WHIT EASE !
i can not thank you enough!! i landed one of these from learning how to properly scoop after watching this last night!!! thank you so much man! you're the best
HOLY CRAP! That was the best skateboarding instructional video I have ever watched. Not because it worked with me (I didn't really try it yet), but because it was so detailed and talked about common mistakes made by ordinary skaters like me. 11 out of 10 dude, you should come up with a skate school or somethin'...
You are a zen master of teaching skateboarding! Super impressed! Thanks.for explainimg the scoop so well. I went out and landedy first tre afyer wayching this vid! Got my vote as best sb guide on youtube
And by the way.. Thanks for your how to kickflip video it really helped me when I couldn't do it and gave me motivation.. cause you were the only guy till now that talked about the 1/2 flip and I think that helps for the people that can't land the front foot at first.. Thanks
Ive tried different foot placements but i only have a problem with the 360 shuv but the flip is fine. I feel like i have to spin the board as hard as i can in order for it to do a 360 shuv. Whats wrong??
It could be how you scoop the board. Tell me this, are you _"scraping"_ the tail along the ground when you do the 360 flip, like I said somewhere at 5:07 of this video? When I had 270 problem way back when, scooping was my problem, I didn't have the proper technique. I found the "scrape" that I discussed in this video helped me a good amount on it.
if your having trouble getting the kickflip part i recommend just to start out instead uf scrapping all the way up go bout halfway and then kick straight sown
I actually got it Mike, Re-watched the video and tried it word for word, problem was of course, the scoop. I wasn't letting it pop before I scooped, its such a small change but it made the difference of landing it or not
I did my first today:) Experimented with different foot positions for 4 hours and eventually I landed one:) But I still do the half flipped and 1.5 flipped ones most of the time... I'll try to film it when I go for my next sesh=) Really thanks for helping me out=)
Yeah my nose and tail are where i flick and scoop are worn delam'd a lot, my front foot doesn't have a place to flick anymore and i dont have enough wood on my tail to make it scrape on the floor enough and ive been practicing this trick for 3 months now and pretty much have this trick down, but thx, i need a new board, i usually skate dead boards though until they are fully dead. Thanks
I guess you're right.. When I can't skate cause it's late and I can't any noise around here practising I like to think and think and think to realise what i'm doing wrong.. And today I realised that maybe i'm just scared to put both feet while moving..cause, maybe in 7/10 when moving I do the flick right..just don't land on it.. Can the problem be in the balance? :o Is the balance that different while doing it stationery or moving? I know it changes a bit but I mean..a lot Thanks
Hey Mike, I'm learning tre's and I have a few problems: I have a big problem doing the full 3 Shuv in a tre, but I always get the flip, I'm focused totally on the 3 shuv and the flip just comes naturally, but when I finally manage to do the tre flip, it goes about a 2 feet either forward or behind where I land, its actually easier for me to do the tre double flip, then a regular tre. I ride regular
I already landed some really scetchy tre flips..lol But no one clean..I think I have to learn the scoop better..good tip about the scoop by the way..have to try it.. One question for you slomomike. I can kickflip and heelflip and kickflip varial, but only stationary.. when moving I have some problems..I already landed a few, but very rare.. any tip? Thanks
can you please do an ultimiate tip trick on 360 shoves im having a lot of trouble doing does thanks btw i love your videos they have really helped me out with my skateboarding
xdeadbassx Sure you're not turning your shoulders? Try landing it with front foot only. If you can do that but still can't land with both feet it might be a commitment issue.
Mike, i'm trying to understand this... when you 360 flip, the board actually lands in a different spot than from what you originally started or? so say you're moving, after doing the trick, you should be meeting the board ahead of you or? obviously not ahead of you in the direction you're moving, but "up" from where you started? when i do my pop shove-its, my board is directly under me the whole time, i don't feel the need to jump "up" to catch it, it's just under me. Tre flips aren't like this?
Dude, you're awesome. This is my second day trying them and yesterday I didn't come close. It was like a semi Impossible with a kickflip. Today I can finally form the Tre under me. I mean, my back foot missed the board by like an inch, but that was stationary. I'm about to go try them with some speed.
I have a problem that you do not mention in any of your videos, I either flick the board into a half flip or into a 1,5 flip. I can't seem to find the perfect amount of power to flick the board with. It is either way too little, or way too much.. Any suggestions? Great vids!
Hey mike sometimes when I fully commit to the 360 flip I scoop but then the board pops wayyyyyy to high and theirs no possible way for me to get my legs above the board. Help?
Well i mean when u said it should stay under u the whole time but for me i have to jump forward alot i usually have it centred but some times ill lean back to see what happens any suggestions?
My board is was almost flat a few days ago but i was using this technique and i would get my tre flips 5/5 times and i went to the skatepark and were doing them off of ledges all bolts, but now i do everything the same and i dont land them at all anymore, my tail is flat and dead now, do you think thats the reason, because i havent changed the way i do my tre flips at all, i either land them steezed out front catch, which doesnt feel comfortable, or not at all, any ideas??
hi mike. I need help with my tre flips. I am getting close to landing them but my front foot catches it and lands on the board but my back foot is on the ground(I am regular footed). Help me please, thanx.
I can ollie, bs pop shove, fs pop shove but can't kickflip :( I can heelflip though.. Can I still go ahead and learn the tre flip? Nice tutorial btw mate
Hey man. I have a fairly uncommon problem with my 360 flips. I tend to over flip the board. To be specific, it usually flips 1 1/2 times. However, I have no problem with it fakie.
I found out keeping your back straight and not bent forward is the best way for every trick to keep it under you. I bee skating for over a year I have fakie big flips down evry time but, when I do redular 3 flips I lose my balnce and slip out evry time
yeah its amazing to me that no matter how long u skate, there is alwayes something to learn. Ive been skating for 11 years and i still dont have 360 flips on lock.
Ok also how long Should it take to learn this with the tutorial and if i have a 1 hour session every day (at least) how much time should i commit to trying this trick because alot of times trying the same trick for an hour without doing anything else gets tiring.
mike when i'm trying to do tre flips i can't get the full rotation of the board i dont no why i can kickflip, pop shove it and varial flip what should i do?
hey I could use some help. when I do my tre's ill get the full rotation, but it'll land way on the side of me. but sometimes it'll will only rotate about halfway but it'll be closer to me. any advice will help. thanks in advance!
I can kickflip but im really uncumfortably. And I can get the flip on Tre's most of the time Will it matter so much if I find it easier to do 360 Shuv it's than kicks?
Hey Mike. I need ur help on my tre flips. My ollies are fine i can kickflip almost every time, and i can do 6/10 pop shove its. What I only do is a varial flip, and if I try scooping harder I do something like 270 double flip or double varial flip or varial 1/2 flip. I scoop the way you said in the video, pop vertically and then scrape the tail. Can you tell me what my problem is and how can I fix it. Thnx. :)
+ ram9 I know how you feel, I never knew exactly what "scoop" was so I had to teach myself exactly what it was. Glad to hear that it's all clear for you man!
Hey man I started working on this trick and need some help. I got My Kickflips,Pop Shuvs, Varial flips, and 360 Shuvs, all the stuff I need to know to help me get the trick easier. I can get the rotation of the 360 flip but I land with one foot far away from, or it 270's and I land it upside down
Where does your board land with 360 flips? Do they land behind you (you land with your back foot near the nose) or do they land in front of you (you land with your front foot near the tail)? Also for your 270 1/2 flips, do you land with both feet?
Well.. I tried today and I found out that sometimes I guess I don't believe I will be capable of doing the rotation and by back foot just lands in the ground and my front foot in the board :/ And sometimes I land in front of the board but that is because I lean to forward I guess. Another thing, how are we suposed to do the scoop really nice without the skateboard going to far away? Everytime I try a tre the board goes in my front and that just don't seems practical while rolling :o Thanks
Hey, your videos are really informative, and they help me out a lot, I was also wondering if you have any tips on being patient when trying to learn new tricks
dear mike please help, i cant land any of my tricks when i do them over or off of things. The board is always behind me. Even when i lean far back and jump back, the board is still behind me when i land. its not that far away, my back foot is on the front bolts when i land. It makes me look like a terrible skater at my park, and i would love to show people that i can actually skate. Any tips at all???
I'm having trouble flicking, instead of flicking like a normal person I just lift up my foot. And this gets me 360 & 1/2 flips. I can't get my front foot to flick and stay connected what should I do to fix this?
Most of the time I get the full 360 but only a half flip in sometimes it over flips and almost does a double flip I have my foot positioning right and commitment any tips on the perfect rotation
I need help ive been trying this trick for a while and every time i try to do it i land in front of the board with my back foot on the front bolts and my front foot hits the ground either before or at the same time that my board lands
I have a problem with jumping really far forward and landing the flip with both my feet on the nose. I try to stand straight and jump straight up but I can never get enough scoop on it.
Thanks dude! Greatly appreciated! As for fs flips, I'd love to make one! Problem is that there's so many tricks I want to do and I barely have the time. I wish the time it took for me to make my trick tips wasn't so long, but they have to be perfect haha
***** I look forward to watching new tutorials from you. Any trick!! It does´t matter which as long as they are so well explained as you do. I like a lot your style, accent and good explanations. No other "teachers" put so much effort as in your series. Cheers from Sex and skate and Rocknroll.com !!!
I need help with keeping the board right under me. To land it i always have to jump farther forward than i would like and i cant seem to catch the board. Thanks
Every time I try to tre flip the board lands behind me or while it's in the air either my front foot or back foot stops it from rotating please help me
Ok, 360 Flips... I've been practicing this trick for about 4 months now. I get every aspect and motion of the trick, yet I land it 1 out of every 200 times. I always land with 1 foot on the board, usually my back foot on the nose. I've tried so many different foot placements and amounts of pressure and I still can't land it. It flips and rotates perfectly but no land. My question is: How do I keep the board under me? -Everytime I do the trick the board either lands primo or 1 footed. Do I lean?
I like the time you put into this, and btw you just threatened me because I used to only land with one foot haha :D I decided to commit yesterday and I actually landed it but rolled my ankle really bad on top of the board so yeah. I'm so close to 360 flips!
hey dude i gotm my shuvs down and kickflips are gay.now i try tre flips.i know i should jump forward and shizz liket that.but what if it just goes way to forward for me to land.also sometimes my board goes behind me
This is probably the best skateboarding channel out there
how i learn my tre flip
1.watch this
2.practice
3.landed
thanks mike!
+Luke Dope congrats dude!!
+slowmomike Im 11 and will that effect my ability to land it? i can flip it and land on the ground but the board is is the air when i hit the ground. So i thought i should just jump higher but then it does a shuvit for some reason.
Gavin Harner try the front foot catch style
+slowmomike I love how straight up you are, "If you land with one foot on, I will find you and I will kill you." These vids are ten times better than braille or spencer nuzzi, you cover every single problem and give the best tips. I hope to land my tre flips soon, thanks man +slowmomike
+Denzel Taves did you land it?
I been trying Tre Flips for over 3 months and I landed my first Tre Flip today.
Thank you for doing this Tutorial.
This is the best 360 flip tutorial ever
most videos say "scoop hard with your back foot and flick" which doesn't help at all, but YOU actually give details! thanks mike!
6:53 never related to anything more in a skate tutorial, “one foot off” land halted my progress for months learning kickflips I could’ve been actually learning the trick😭
I watched your kickflip common problems video and it really helped me.

That's awesome to hear dude!
Good luck with the progress!
Best tutorial vid on tre flip on youtube
believe it or not, ive been struggling with most of my tricks, but when i watch your ultimate trick tips, within the next week, i can land them more consistently.
That's awesome dude! :D
Stuff like this really drives me to make more trick tips (despite my lack of consistency with creating them, haha)
seriously dude i wan't u to know how much u'r explenation about the scoop of the board was good ! actualy for the first time on youtube someone explaining exactly wtf is hapenning during this motion ! DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH AFTER THAT VIDEO I LAND IT FIRST TRY WHIT EASE !
i can not thank you enough!! i landed one of these from learning how to properly scoop after watching this last night!!! thank you so much man! you're the best
As soon as he said something about the one foot part I immediately got on my board and got my self hurt
FIRST TRY AFTER WATCHING THIS!! thanks so much dude, this trick was driving me crazy until you mentioned the pop straight down and scoop.
Thanks!, im Brazilian and in Brazil dont have tricks tips like yours, after see your trick tip i do more of 4 tre flips in one day. really thanks!
That's awesome to hear dude!
Congrats! :D
YOU HELPED ME SO MUCH WITH THE VERTICAL SCOOP I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE A HELPER ON ADVERTISMENT BUT YOU REALLY DID THANKYOU
HOLY CRAP! That was the best skateboarding instructional video I have ever watched. Wow you put a lot of effort into your trick tips, that's awesome!
I'm glad that my work doesn't go unnoticed :D
Takes a looooooong time to make em
Thank you!
This video should have so much more likes, much effort went into this video. Liked!
Glad my effort shows! Thanks! :D
I know this 10 years later but this is the best treflip tutorial to date.
You are a zen master of teaching skateboarding! Super impressed! Thanks.for explainimg the scoop so well. I went out and landedy first tre afyer wayching this vid! Got my vote as best sb guide on youtube
Wow man! Congrats on that quick progress! :D
Took me like 3 months to learn the 360 flip haha
Glad to hear that my advice is worthy!
I have landed a few of these but now I am back to re-watch this so I can actually learn this!
Hope it helps! haha
It does, just need shoes that aren't completely exposing my foot haha! Maybe that will help. Cheers:)
I just landed my first legitimate tre flip thanks man
Congrats man! That's awesome!
I certainly appreciate it man. Keep doing what you do. You are helping a lot of kids out.
I know these videos are old... But you did a decent job making the. I appreciate you for that bro.
And by the way.. Thanks for your how to kickflip video it really helped me when I couldn't do it and gave me motivation.. cause you were the only guy till now that talked about the 1/2 flip and I think that helps for the people that can't land the front foot at first..

Yeah I was scraping the tail a lot. I get closer now, thanks
Awesome man! Keep up the good work!
if your having trouble getting the kickflip part i recommend just to start out instead uf scrapping all the way up go bout halfway and then kick straight sown
Alright ill definately give it a try tomorrow.
Many people also say to either jump back or lean back. What do you think of that?
I actually got it Mike, Re-watched the video and tried it word for word, problem was of course, the scoop. I wasn't letting it pop before I scooped, its such a small change but it made the difference of landing it or not
I did my first today:) Experimented with different foot positions for 4 hours and eventually I landed one:) But I still do the half flipped and 1.5 flipped ones most of the time... I'll try to film it when I go for my next sesh=) Really thanks for helping me out=)
hey man i land like 1 outta 250 kickflips so im just watching this for the hell of it haha and i know how much u work on these so thank you!
This helped me. I spent like 4 hours today just trying to land 1 tre flip.
can you please do an ultimiate tip trick on 360 shoves im having a lot of trouble doing does thanks btw i love your videos they have really helped me out with my skateboarding
I perfectly form the tre flip but I land with my back foot instead of my front
xdeadbassx Sure you're not turning your shoulders? Try landing it with front foot only. If you can do that but still can't land with both feet it might be a commitment issue.
i can almost land fakie tre but can’t get the full kickflip rotation
OMG i love you! I've been working on 3 flips for months now! And after watching this i got it in an hour! THANK YOU!!

Yo mike do i really need to get down the 3shuv first or just go with tre flip instead? Bcs i already got varial flip and kickflip on lock.. Thanks!
I'm working on them really hard :)
Thanks for the help man and for always responding..
i thank you for the time you take with these tips i learned kick-flips because of you
whose to say i wont learn 360 flips?
honestly tre flips are known to be really hard but their actually really simple and as long as you know what your doing it’s light work
what should i learn first the tre flip or a hard flip?
Dude, you're awesome. This is my second day trying them and yesterday I didn't come close. It was like a semi Impossible with a kickflip. Today I can finally form the Tre under me. I mean, my back foot missed the board by like an inch, but that was stationary. I'm about to go try them with some speed.
Putting my shoulders into it while still staying parallel really helped.
I have a problem that you do not mention in any of your videos, I either flick the board into a half flip or into a 1,5 flip. I can't seem to find the perfect amount of power to flick the board with. It is either way too little, or way too much.. Any suggestions? Great vids!

Forward the way my chest is facing i have landed 360 flips before but again far ahead of me and it didnt look good so.. Any tips?
hi mike. I need help with my tre flips. I am getting close to landing them but my front foot catches it and lands on the board but my back foot is on the ground(I am regular footed). Help me please, thanx.

yeah its amazing to me that no matter how long u skate, there is alwayes something to learn. Ive been skating for 11 years and i still dont have 360 flips on lock.
helped me learned kickflips and now treflips

Thanks this is helping me learn them faster, only one question though, how do I keep my front foot dragging all the way up?
hahah exactly!! i cant stand a lot of tutorials, but yours are usually perfect!
i really focus on the scoop! but it still flips only 270 is it possible i'm just to short?
really thanks for the quick awnser
I just landed my first tre flip yesterday. Now I always land them :) im so happy
+ ram9
I know how you feel, I never knew exactly what "scoop" was so I had to teach myself exactly what it was.
Also for your 270 1/2 flips, do you land with both feet?
do you have a laser flip tutorial i only found the nollie laser one..
Well.. I tried today and I found out that sometimes I guess I don't believe I will be capable of doing the rotation and by back foot just lands in the ground and my front foot in the board :/ And sometimes I land in front of the board but that is because I lean to forward I guess. Hey man, i really enjoyed your vid , do you think you can do one about varial heels?
I'm having trouble flicking, instead of flicking like a normal person I just lift up my foot. And this gets me 360 & 1/2 flips. I can't get my front foot to flick and stay connected what should I do to fix this?
Most of the time I get the full 360 but only a half flip in sometimes it over flips and almost does a double flip I have my foot positioning right and commitment any tips on the perfect rotation
I need help ive been trying this trick for a while and every time i try to do it i land in front of the board with my back foot on the front bolts and my front foot hits the ground either before or at the same time that my board lands
Best tre flip trick tip ever thank you so much!
Ok thanks Mike hopefully i'll learn them soon :)
i CANT get the right timing when i jump =( do i have to jump directly after scooping the board or something ? ( my feets are always under the board )
I have a problem with jumping really far forward and landing the flip with both my feet on the nose. I try to stand straight and jump straight up but I can never get enough scoop on it.
yes. sometimes my back fiot goes under my board after the full rotation and that hurts.
I watched this video then did three tre flips you are the best teacher
Wow man! Congrats! :D
Got these first try and made a video about it! Thanks man
what kind of shoes do you recommend
Thanks a lot for this tutorial!! It is awesome! so detailed!!! Do you have one for FS flips?
Thanks dude! Greatly appreciated!
As for fs flips, I'd love to make one! Problem is that there's so many tricks I want to do and I barely have the time. I wish the time it took for me to make my trick tips wasn't so long, but they have to be perfect haha
***** I look forward to watching new tutorials from you. Any trick!! It does´t matter which as long as they are so well explained as you do. I like a lot your style, accent and good explanations. No other "teachers" put so much effort as in your series. Cheers from Sex and skate and Rocknroll.com !!!
Thanks man! I try haha
I need help with keeping the board right under me. To land it i always have to jump farther forward than i would like and i cant seem to catch the board. Thanks
Best trick tip ever
Really lots of help
Glad you think so dude!
Every time I try to tre flip the board lands behind me or while it's in the air either my front foot or back foot stops it from rotating please help me
Helps a lot . i like how u explain
Do I lean?
I like the time you put into this, and btw you just threatened me because I used to only land with one foot haha :D
I decided to commit yesterday and I actually landed it but rolled my ankle really bad on top of the board so yeah. I'm so close to 360 flips!
That's great to hear man! Keep up the good work and you'll totally get it! :D
My apologies for not getting to this earlier...
