I literally did the tip today where you scoop it diagonally and it made landing my 3rd treflip so much easier. Now it's time to get them consistent. Thank you so much for the help
started skating again after 10 years. first thing i do when i want to learn a new trick is check is you have made a video about it. best skate teacher on the net
Thanks man. Got the rotation perfect and landed one sketchy one. I have a huge problem with the board going behind me though. Need to try leaning back even more!
Honestly, my biggest problem has been the landing two feet together in the center of the board. Or on the nose, as you mentioned in the video. The scoop forward definitely makes sense, and for some reason I cant get used to the legs staying wide. Ill keep practicing and I will let you know if any of these tips helped
I imagine that I do it onto a curb, so my feet go higher without me even thinking about it. It also works with any tricks you do onto or over an obstacle, just imagine that it is higher than it really is, you will be surprised how much easier it gets.
My next trick war is this one but it’s being a real pain right now so I’ve tried 5 days now and no matter how hard I scoop all I get are varial flip or almost double varial no 360 shuv part in sight I can maybe form the Tre 3/4 and land with my back foot but when I try to practice with my front foot it’s back to varial flips only no matter how hard I scoop it’s so weird .
THANK GOD! For this turtorial. I was looking at every single tre flip turtorial in the internet Cuz I have a problem where I scoop the tre flip but the board would just launch forward. so ounce I found this turtorial I found out that I had to scoop diagonal, thx man for the tutorial
i'm learning treflips and my biggest problem is my front foot. there's no problem with my foot position but everytime i try treflip i always end up doing varial kickflips, I can't control my front foot it keeps flicking so hard that's why i can't treflip
I lean back, I dont get my back foot high enough to catch it, I lean forward I land every. Single. Tre. With both feet on my nose. It flips perfect almost every time I can always get either front or back foot on bolts but never together unless i fucking sumo jump forwards, then I land too far forward on the board. Ive been trying these for months and only landed like 5 shitty ones Ive actually rolled away from. Im going insane
@@princessyorba5248 yep i think it was it. i fixed the problem now, but im having another problem where the board doesn't fully complete the kickflip, like board does 360 1/2 flip, any tips for it?
@@fanciestnir523 I'm not too sure. Could be that you're not doing the little "flick". Or you're not doing the back foot motion strong enough. I can suggest trying to learn the trick off a curb, that's what my brother always does. It's scarier but it helps cuz you have a little more time to get the board to rotate. Also you should always film yourself trying the trick. Preferably in slo mo
Man I don't know wtf is going on I kept breaking boards on varial flips so I tried to learn tre flips. Its literally been 2 entire months since I've landed anything, I keep either one footing with my front foot or I can't keep my back foot on. I'll get the scoop but can't get the flick then I'll get the flick but not the scoop or I'll get all elements down with my back foot touching the ground. I wanna learn a trick every month but I can't seem to land anything now.
I feel you dude same thing happened to me with kickflips for 7monhts I would learn then forget it then learn it again then forget it then I just moved on to varial flips
Sean I’m innnnn neeed of help I have the tre well formed and I can land but man every single time I land with both feet on the grip I just slip right out the board flys from under my feet and I eat itttt i don’t know how to centre myself as soon as I land
i'm trying to pop shuvit but i can't get my back foot on the board. but everything else is perfect. my back foot get's cought under the wheel when i'm trying to land on the board :/ MAKE MORE OF THESE VIDEOS!
I can get the flick and the scopp, and when I commit the board does the full rotation but I only land with my back foot. I try to lean back but I still only land on my back foot.
aki 9813 I had that problem like a week ago. What’s happening is you’re using your back foot too much. So try to, I wouldn’t say flick more, but I guess use your front foot more when doing the trick so you can catch it with your front foot.
5:21 It’s about the same. Usually if you’re under scooping or flicking, you’re overcompensating in the other area. My other guess is that people could be popping more than flicking. It’s a very hard concept to explain but you need to have a lot of power in your scoop. It takes a lot of practice of trial and error to strengthen your scoop and see how much you need to scoop. You shouldn’t have to really think about flicking honestly. Hope that helps!
Sean Brown Thanks lol. It’s almost happened a few times but I was able to push the board out of the way. No way I would skate hand rails lol. Usually stick to ledges and stairs. And I’m extra cautious on hardflips.
Sean Brown I also want to thank you for all your videos. I’ve been trying to work on tre flips again and your tre flip video really helped. Other tutorials don’t say to scoop back and forward so my tre flips kept shooting out away from me. Now I got it. Thanks.
Try to move your front foot a little back and try to sweep your backfoot as hard backwards as you can, tail obviously needs to touch the ground like shown in the vid. Just keep trying, you'll get there g!!
Finn McKay I am broken inside. This trick has ruined me lmfao. All I’d say is really nail your pop shuvs/scoops, you can’t get lazy with them like you can with a varial.

aiman ho there’s no way around committing, you just have to jump high and commit
