    BAKED CHICKEN BREAST RECIPE
2 boneless chicken breast (6 ounces each)
    2 teaspoon avocado oil
    Garlic powder
    Smoked paprika
    Salt and pepper to taste
    DIRECTIONS:
Remove the chicken breasts from the fridge and allow them to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking. The closer to room temperature that they are, the better.
    Preheat oven to 450ºF
Lay the chicken breasts between two pieces of saran wrap or wax paper and gently pound with a meat mallet*, starting from the center and pounded towards the edges. The goal is to create a chicken breast that is uniform in thickness so that it cooks evenly.
Place chicken breasts on a rimmed baking sheet a drizzle each side with avocado oil and season liberally with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
Rest the chicken for 10 minutes so the juices can settle and the internal temperature rises up to 165 degrees. Serve and enjoy.

*SMOKED paprika is for flavor. It's great. Regular, plain paprika is for color. Great tips for that meal. Thank you!*

I really like that you added in the tip to wash hands several times during the prep. It's just as important as any other step in a recipe so I hope this video reaches plenty of new cooks!

Thank you so much for this recipe, I am close to tears you are so nice and explain it so well! I'm about to start meal prepping and trying to lose some weight and you are just so encouraging. I definitely subscribed. Stay safe xo Edit: I made your chicken /w mushroom sauce today and your oven roasted sweet potatoes. The whole house smells so good! First time in my life I actually tenderize the chicken and check the temperature and no just leave it in the oven for like a hour lol. Thanks again! I'm trying your spaghetti squash and gluten free brownies next time. :)

I would never pound my organic chicken under plastic, under any circumstances use parchment paper

Thank you I followed your direction and my chicken breast came out perfect! I'm not a big chicken breast fan because I usually cook it and it's dry. Thank you for your video.

It's so easy to just wash your chicken. Rinse it so it's no slimy. If you want you can even scrub it with lemon.

Great tips & I love that you wash your hands often. It drives me nuts when I see cooks touching seasoning containers after touching raw meat or when they just grab a towel!😝
