I am disappointing that the last scene of Wanted didn't make it in there ;-;
C get g. Go
i know right
Deacon Waterman+ Both scenes from Wanted in the same spot, though the Morgan Freeman scene is better, the moment he realizes he's been had and the shot gets him, then the shot rewinding to show us how/where it traveled from.
In the last one you forgot to say he only had five rounds and there was only five officers
Anyone remembers World At War from the Enemy at the gates scene?
Enemy at the Gates is an underrated War Film. It's terrific. Jude Law is so good.
I do do you think it came from this movie
That scene in world at war was taken from Enemy at the gates. And not only that many other scenes from that movie was also taken in the first call of duty.
Yeah, mission was called "Vendetta"
"Do what I say and we can avenge this massacre...take my rifle...wait until the bombers are directly overhead...the sound of their engines will drown the shot"
Already 101% knew no.1 scene gonna be from Enemy at the gates.
Shooter is one of the most under rated films ever.
its been my favorite movie for yearsss everything in that movie is so planned out
@Covert Cam I don’t think a movie is ment to be realistic.
I know right :( It's so good!
The series is also very good! Definitely worth watching.
@@thewatcheronthewall8532 that show disappointed me from the very first episode when he caught the hunters and told them a .223 could only kill a squirrel. That was to unrealistic so I couldn't watch it anymore
'Enemy at the Gates' is one of my favourite movies, so yes it's a great pick and I couldn't agree more.
Number 10 in this list:
"How did you get so close?"
"By being a sneaky bastard. sir!!!"
Class.
"You left that hamburger wrapper out there to trick us?"
"Yes sir!"
"Fine this man for littering."
Saving Private Ryan better be here..
VB MUTT right
VB MUTT or captain Philips
I'm the captain now
VB MUTT it's at 3
VB MUTT that's the first thing I thought of too lol
Nailed the #1. Much love for the honorable mention for the Quigley scene. That was one of the best scenes in the movie.
Enemy at the Gates was an awesome movie and my first ever War movie. Loved it.
I'm the Captain Now
Somali Pirate Who Pirated Your Girlfriend those sniper shots on the pirates was heart pounding and breathe of relief when they all went down
Somali Pirate Who Pirated Your Girlfriend is that from captain Phillips
Rio Singh yeah
Execute!
Somali Pirate Who Pirated Your Girlfriend the capitain of her heart
Enemy at the gates is my favourite film and has been for the passed 4 years
Good picks! Really love the American Sniper one.
Enemy at the gates is good everytime I watch it
I remember the sniper scene in Hurt Locker. The cinema was dead silent, and when the first terrorist got killed, the silence was only broken by the gunshot followed by a collective whispered "Yeahhhh!!"
As the count down went on, I kept thinking, no Enemy at the Gates!? Perfect choice. That was the number one for me. 👍
100% perfect compilation...👌👌👌
Enemy at the gates is such an amazing movie!
Saving private Ryan and the movie sniper with Tom Berenger had a seen where the bullet went through the scope of the opposing sniper. This really happened with the greatest American sniper Carlos Hathcock.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Hathcock
In Saving Private Ryan (1998), Private Daniel Jackson (Barry Pepper) shoots a German sniper through the latter's rifle scope, giving a nod to Carlos Hathcock.
hairydogstail lucky bastard
MythBusters did an episode on that and they kinda "busted" it because they proved that the bullet can't go through the scope because it has multiple lenses an when bullet hits them it changes the path and go out or just stay inside the scope.
Myth busters can eat a fat dick!
This shot really happened, or are you calling Gny. Hathcock a liar?
Saving private Ryan is on of the best films ever
Great Job Mojo. good list.
The ending of the shootout in Wind River was a great sniper scene.
Definitely would not like being hit with that 45-70! Although not a 'sniper' type round
It was the original sniper. May have not been a direct shot but it could be lobbed hundreds of yards.
fun fact, the military doesn't use the barret .50 for most sniping "missions" due the the fact that the Barret is actually an anti-material rifle. they most commonly use a .300 wind mag, or a .338 lapua magnum
Lol. Of course. The Barrett is meant to take out things like humvees jeeps trucks even small tanks or halftracks. Imagine telling a small snipe team they have to lug a barret for their 50 mile hoof to their target location. They would break their back before ever getting there. Unless they broke it down and had one person carry half and another carry the other half. Which they do actually do when they have to implement a Barrett
I mean look uo what anti material means...it basically means anti everything
@@jessekonert9842 I think he means 'anti-materiel' not 'anti-material'. They are two totally different things.
#1 should be the same movie, but the shot where the dude goes ahead of vasili and gets his head blown off on the jump. Or when danalov gets rekt to help vasili find the sniper
Sullyvan , Even though I was a Russian bias I can say that shot is Awesome.
I like the scene where he snipes the general while the general is bitching about how bad the enemies snipers are lol.
Yep
Hello brother
Enemy at the gate is one of my favourite
Great choice of kills!
Jackson in the tower! that was the best.
"Moral of the story: Don't betray somebody with a telescopic lens, and a DEADEYE."
and a decent calibre.
I already guessed the Saving Private Ryan, American Sniper and Enemy At The Gates scenes were in this and they just so happen to be the top three in the list. Life is CRAZY😝
Clint Eastwood as Joe Kidd. The delay between his shot and the bad guy on the mountain taking the bullet in the chest is classic!
saving private ryan's private jackson is my #1
I think that the German sniper scene from saving Private Ryan was both sad and epic
You forgot one, though the target wasn't killed, from the training scene in the "Professional" where Leon is showing Mathilda how to clean. What an incredible dichotomy.
Sniper kills are so satisfying.
I Love that they don't censor some things like in that saving Private Ryan clip
Full Metal Jacket only getting an honorable nod? Kidding?
Saving Private Ryan was so fantastic and it lost to Shakespeare in Love at oscars lol
I love enemy at the gate. I want to add that to my collection of war movies. Besides being a great movie it has Ron Pearl,an in it. Awesome!
the scene from beginning of Jack Reacher should be on this list
Usually I wouldnt mind, because its a top and its a personal thing, but the first 5 min of jack reacher are a masterpiece. I love that film, but only for this opening scene its worth seeing the entire movie.
Sergio Exposito Hernandez no that chevelle chase scene was the absolutely best!
OneDoge Mannn The fact that it was not on the list or even an honorable mention is laughable.
OneDoge Mannn This entire list in stupid
I was going to comment this, but also the sniper scene in Incendies should have been mentioned.
SMOKIN ACES
Vasily zaitzev was a real sniper at stalingrad, the film enemy at the gates was good but the book called war of the rats was awesome, really pulled you in and kept hold of you
Jack reacher opening scene is so perfectly shot. No mention of that
Forgot to mention that Vasily was a real sniper, too. And had over 300 confirmed kills (or 500 if you believe the propaganda)
DJ Felix Even those numbers might be inflated...
DJ Felix he's not famous because of how many kills he got. It's because of the way he killed
Look up Simo Haya or "The White Death". He was a Finnish sniper that didn't use a scope while fighting the Russians when they invaded Finland during WW2. He got just as many confirmed kills and survived the war. He survived getting shot and even artillery.
I already know all about Simo Hayha, with over 800 confirmed kills on record
a confirmed kill is a kill which has to be confirmed by a senior officer or had the dog tags taken from the victim, say the american sniper in the vietnam conflict (the one who got his longest shot with a customised .50 cal machine gun) he got like 100 confirmed kills but he reckons he got around 1000 kills
The Professional where he teaches the girl to shoot and how it is drawn out and even better a twist that all shots aren't lethal.
Lion
That was such a great movie
Leon, The Professional.
Matilda
@Raymond Gordon Yea whoops. Lets blame Autocorrect.
I haven’t seen anyone in the comments mention it but the snipe in wanted where he kills the guy from super far away was super satisfying
Every shot from the tv show shooter (The better bob lee swagger interpretation) was amazing.
How is the sniper scene from Captain Phillips not on here? It was a true event and one of the most emotional scenes ever.
Act of Valor is an underrated classic of modern warfare.
If this list was made today Wind River would definitely be on it!
What a good list! I do feel like the scene at the end of "Captain Philip's" could have made it on here too.
Yep, should be on the list.

Tom Beranger in the movie SNIPER. many good scenes.
leave it to WM to make a list of sniper scenes and leave out the movie "Sniper"
That invalidates the list entirely, especially since there are any number of great scene's in that movie to pick from. The best being his creep onto the ranch of the kingpin, hiding in the barn. No other movie showed how a sniper takes his time to creep into position for a shot.
@@bdonthebrat5021 '' One Shot One Kill ''
The commentary chased me away!
Yes agree,Enemy at the Moment Gates all time special
The number 1 on this list Inspired the Call of Duty World at War mission “Vendetta” if I’m not mistaking. One of the greatest and most intense Call of Duty missions ever, if you’d ask me.
What about the ending scene from The Wanted.. that was epic
Sniper from 1992 with Tom Berenger and Billy Zane is pure masterpiece and one of the best movies about snipers.
All GREAT movies !
next one about best tank scenes in movies, or did they already did it?
agree
Fury could take number 1 spot easy
check out the movie "white tiger", its russian but damn its awesome
battle of the bulge, top film!
Fury and Saving Private Ryan!
"It's the great Vassili Zaitsev."
I agree these are the most amazng shots.
Very good
Number 1 pick was perfect. That was by far the best sniping moment. Many games since have taken to masking shots with explosions or other battlefield noise.
If this was 2020 genomics man would be included
Enemy at the Gates is the best sniper movie. And it's history.
Good job bro,
The Day of the Jackal (1973) should most certainly be on the list and the fact that it's not even mentioned reveals a gaping hole in WM's movie kowledge - which apparently doesn't go further back than the 80s. ;-P
I'm happy to see a shot from Quigley Down Under, an underestimated film, but to leave out the final showdown scene of the original Jackal movie is quite the omission.
Fred Zinnemann's 'The Day of the Jackal' is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I was anticipating that it'll be on the list as well, even as an honorable mention. I was disappointed, too, that it wasn't there, but I guess when one thinks about it, the Jackal never completed a successful hit during the film. There was a beautiful scene of Edward Fox's character doing target practice outdoors using a watermelon hanging from a tree, but ultimately he missed by millimeters when it came to take the shot of President Charles de Gaulle's head. WatchMojo's criteria in this video doesn't mention that the sniper scenes must be of successful shots, or that the snipers in the movies must succeed in their missions, so WatchMojo should've emphasized that criteria. To be more precise, one movie listed ('Clear and Present Danger') shows only a scene of target practice when Domingo Chavez (played by 'Breaking Bad's' Raymond Cruz) is crawling in the tall grass while being assessed by the black ops recruiter John Clark (Willem Dafoe), but we know later that the sniper takes out human targets successfully. 'The Day of the Jacket' didn't show winning sniper hits. Anyway, the book by Frederick Forsyth is a masterpiece, too.
I completely agree, and if WM did think about Jackal and left it out because the shot was a miss, then they should have clarified it. As I understood the criteria, it was the scene itself that was to be judged, and the Jackal has a really great final scene. All through the movie, we've been waiting for this final showdown and the tension has built up so thick you can cut it with a knife. Even though we know that de Gaulle was never assassinated (and so the readers know the Jackal will fail), the plot is so masterfully constructed that we're actually sort of hoping he will succeed. As we see all his planning come to fruition on the screen in those final moments, and Lebel's hard-working police force running as fast as they can to intercept him, we're left on tenterhooks wanting to see what happens next. Then the shot ... and it's a miss ... and he reloads ... can Lebel stop him? Aaaah good old fashioned excitement.
Yep. Classic film. (Ouch! Did I spell Jackal as "Jacket" in my previous post? Must've been tired).
And as for 'Quigley Down Under', that's another piece of fine entertainment. A couple of years after its release, I recommended it to a few Aussie friends of mine and naturally they were keen to check it out. I was not surprised they thought it was cool, but I was actually surprised as to the reason why it was cool. They had already seen 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' and thought it was a load of silly fun, so when they got back to me to rave about 'Quigley' they said, "We didn't know the Sheriff of Nottingham was in 'Quigley Down Under'!" Ha. Australians. It wasn't the fine acting or sharpshooting character skills of Tom Selleck in the movie that they liked, but the scheming, conniving character played with usual brilliance by the late Alan Rickman.
All hail Alan Rickman. :)
Dude, these guys don't watch movies, they take existing top 10s 'n shit and just recompile them. Their lack of knowledge is disturbing.
American Sniper, the rattlesnake scene is also legendary
You saved this channel’s staff from me. Thank goodness they are smart.
Hunters killer has the best sniper scene for me. I have re-watched it very many times
Nice video 👍👍
the sniper scene from wanted movie was epic final scene
*"YOU ONLY WOUNDED HIM"*
*"YOU JUST GRAZED HIM"*
It’s but a flesh wound
Love the sniper scenes from "Shooter" (>,")>
I know its a tv show, but the sniper scene in Bodyguard is outstanding!
captain Philips scene, scene from wanted, the scene where Jackson takes out 30 Germans. not disagreeing with the list but these shoulda at least been honorable mentions damn
the losers? chris evans? 2010? bang bang? i have superpowers? THIS WAS GOOD
Good list, another fun sniper shot that should've maybe made the honorable mention list if not the list itself was the end scene of Wanted - all in all good stuff.
Enemy at the gates, underrated af
sniping seems fun and hard at the same time.
african god I doubt it's any fun because you have to sit and wait for a long amount of time and wait for targets but fun probably to shoot the weapon and something that is also hard is the wind speed and bullet drop, everything like that
african god it's boring as hell. It's like 10% hiding 10% navigating 79% waiting and 1% shooting.
african god Because ptsd is so fun.
african god You have to be good in algebra and geometry to be a sniper
if you dont include the waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting
The last sniper shot from wanted should've made the honorable mentions at least
Victor Von Deathstroke I was about to say the same
No.10s sniper game is tight, tight, tight!!!
I love the sniping scene in The Losers.
Check out the moving train shot in "Gemini Man". Probably physically impossible, but nevertheless a great scene.
Probably? R u joking that was a bullet train that is impossible
the shot at the end of wanted still beats all
You're insane
the start of enemy at the gates was awesome
Giving your editor credit for the shooter arm taking off scene. I never thought you'd have the balls to put that in and it is amazing. Love ya for it.

This video was from 2017 but if it was now, Gemini Man would've surely been part of it
U guys totally forgot about the ending scene of Wanted
Piñalisioso omg yes! Angelina! 😍
Piñalisioso actually that's fictional and not based on realtime events so it's not included sadly :(
That's super cool, but unrealistic, I think they opted for more believable shots.
They went for impact of the scene, and quite frankly, Wanted's bullet time was more gimmicky than impactful.
Janey Drews What are you talking about? Angelina's character dies before that ending scene.
saving private ryan is always number one in my eyes! LOL
this was uploaded on my birthday lmao
Eggwon sorry I’m late happy birthday
Movies:Snipers In Here Are Awesome And Deadly
Simo Häyha: Haha, Ametures
6:04 The German sniper being shot through the scope in his eye was inspired from a time in the Vietnam War when a US sniper shot a Vietcong sniper through his scope into his eye.
@Tyler Thomas yes
the Act of Valor scene was amazing
Saving private ryan is the best of all time.
You forgot Captain Phillips one of the best and most suspenseful sniper scenes
I know. Freaking intense music and then:
Execute
I was hoping for "Battle of Sevastopol" and scene, where Lyuda first encounters the Axis powers (taking out a fucking tank with normal rifle round is impressive), also actual sniper training and being hunted by the best German sniper deserve a mention.
We need a revised list of this in 2020
extraction sniper scenes is awesome
