    I have been eating amla and using amla juice for hair and skin (the application is not regular but eating is). It really is as effective as the best vitamin c serums in the market ( beats most of them). I love gooseberries. My mum has always fed me these. I love both of you (my mom and you).

    Wow! What an initiative. Really thankful to you Rujuta for helping me to not fall for fad diets and moving towards a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Just one request - it'll be great if you can also specify the quantity in which we should consume the food items that you are suggesting. For example - I don't know how much saffron should I take and if it's eaten raw or should I dissolve it in a glass of water. A bit about these aspects as well would help a lot. Thanks a lot again. You are really inspiring!

      Bring it to room temperature then grate it or with the help of a juicer you make awala juice and just add a pinch of rock salt. You can also make Amala halwa by pressure cooking it , then sieve it , mash it and saute till the water disappears . Then add sugar or jaggery cook it for few minutes and you awala halwa is ready.

      Sushma Swami wouldn’t the amla lose all its nutrients after all that processing?

    • @sushmaswami3358
      @sushmaswami3358 4 роки тому

      May be it is possible but our dada and nanis would do the same procedure to make pickle, muramba, morawala etc. If they did not cook they would prepare the mixture and keep it in the sun for few days. If you think you will lose all the nutrients then just grate it and put some jeera powder and rock salt on it, leave it to dry and then use it. There are many ways of consuming amala. You can go for any method but make sure you eat it instead of not eating in the fear of losing nutrients.
