FUEL Series 30 Min HARD 'N HIGHER Intensity Workout | Day 10

  • Higher Intensity (HIT), is exactly as you will feel within the first superset!
    We are using supersets today but in a slightly different format! We perform a bodyweight exercise that is higher intensity and essentially will be a pre-exhaust before you pick up a weight and perform a variation! This will be demanding, but I actually think you will LOVE this!
    I will at points absolutely take up to 10 seconds to ensure I am ready to perform a lift safely.
    There are only 2 movements that I am jumping in, and I will provide lower-impact alternatives! But note these are simply low impact and not lower intensity!😅
    The timer will be on for 30 seconds per exercise, followed by another variation for 30 seconds with then 20 seconds rest in between!
    I often deliberate regarding rest as I could put in 5 or 10 seconds of rest in between the exercises as opposed to no specific rest to allow for time to pick up dumbbells. However, I do find that often means even more time is spent getting into position! There is no specific rest between the exercises within the supersets, but it is essential to take even 5 seconds or 10 if needed to ensure you are in a safe position as you will be lifting a weight. You will see me absolutely not rushing into position and ensuring all is good before lifting! Nothing is worth taking that risk when lifting, even more so when your heart rate is high!
    We simply perform each superset for x1 set! Once we complete the 12 supersets, we repeat that full circuit one more time! So circuits…. and that means the workout passes very quickly!
    All you will need for this workout is your mat, a chair/bench for Bulgarian lunges (bodyweight only) and decline push-ups!
    The dumbbells I am using throughout for your reference are 2 x 10kg!

      Yes I've gained so much weight these last few years and need a major change. I'm doing these workouts for my 75hard challenge. I use half the weight or less than Caroline but give it my all. These are great workouts. Can be scaled for any fitness level. What a God send

    That was by far the hardest Caroline Workout I've done. Ive done most of them and I'm very fit and that challenged me intensely. Caroline your a beast. I just love your workouts.

    It’s the end of week 2 everyone...and what a brilliant way to finish off! Today’s workout looks so superb....bodyweight moves to pre exhaust then onto a weighted variation! Thus is the opposite of how we often train...but I’m really looking forward to doing this! It’s going to be hard...but really interesting to do! I know I say this so often...but Caroline’s planning in fuel series is just so superb! Happy Sunday everyone! Matthew
    PS...all done! What a tough but brilliant session! I must say the second circuit passed in a sort of blur...then suddenly we were at the brilliant abs finisher! I counted I did 160 reps with no break! The add on today felt like a sort of extended cool down after all the rest...just perfect! Happy Sunday everyone!       Morning, Matthew. After yesterday's rest, I was ready to HIIT it hard. I was so excited for this one and I was blown away - the exercises, pre-exhaustion method with bodyweight only moves, supersets incorporated into circuits and the abs finisher! Wow,Caroline has trully outdone herself again... It was hard, I am not going to lie, the bodyweight moves really switched up fast muscle fibers which fatiqued pretty early due to using anaerobic metabolic fuel and than into slow muscle fibers which are more efficient at using oxgyen- but in this case they had to work even harder.
      I can't pick my favourite combination today - everything was just spot on! It was fun to see the difference between holding the 2*10 kg after burpees
      and holding them in normal leg day.. heavier for sure!

    "HARD 'N HIGHER Intensity" 😱 To be honest, I love this format: Full body / dumbbells & bodyweight / superset. The heart rate will increase. I bet the end of the second circuit will be rough.

      Hi Delphine...you are quite right about the second circuit! For me it all passed in a sort of blur...then suddenly we were at the brilliant abs finisher!     Thanks for kicking my ass Caroline. This is likely my 3 round for this fuel series. I probably started with 10lbs , today I mainly used 25lbs. I put in the work but I wouldn't be if it weren't for all your hard work and free content❤

      Yes indeed super sweaty Trish. I too loved the format. A lovely change from dB into b/w. The HR was already up going into weights. 2nd round was a breathless mess for me. Loved to lie down for finisher😜 a challenge for sure. Decided to do add on today too✅ chilled cardio. Found it tough in places esp arms but finished it then 8 min abs from 2 years ago. No run this morning as will try to get extra one in during the week. Have a great Sunday. See you in the morning 🙂

    I love high intensity workouts… feeling the adrenaline surge through my body as I desperately fight to keep moving as fast as I possibly can! And seeing one of the fittest women on the planet getting tired makes me really excited because I know it’s going to be super intense! 🔥🔥

    Caroline, this session “literally” killed me.       Haha, amazing Devansh. Agree with you. Although I read Matthews comment before starting the workout so I focused on making sure the 2nd circuit passed as a ‘blur’ for me as well😂😂 It kinda worked. But wow… intense. The more intense, the stronger we get, the more we want. right? 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

    This workout was more for my soul than body. I've been going through a very low point in my life and had stopped working out on the previous video. Today I decided to just go for it and boy oh boy did my mood lift up a notch.

    I have been following CG for 1.5 years now. I am more fit than I've ever been. I am able to keep up the 5x per week, less breaks and better form. I feel the changes in my life such as moving a dresser recently and lifting with a proper squat rather than the back. My life is better wit fitness. I really appreciate all these programs.     Travelling at the moment so had to complete this without my DBs. However managed to supplement a few moves and increase the pace when Caroline was on the DB section. 356 cal burn 🔥 with no DBs so I was well pleased. I will definitely repeat with 12.5s when I get home 🏡 Happy Sunday 😉

    so much more doable than many HIITs. I feel like this one actually alternates exercises - most HIITS feel like "High Intensity INDEFINITE termination" like it never stops. Thank you Caroline! Never really loved to hate something so much!

    Felt great finishing this one today! It was sweaty, quick, well designed, and challenging. It was right inbetween a Caroline cardio and one of her most challenging HIITS, I would say. Two rounds was plenty for me using 12.5 lbs. Caroline with 22 lbs…amazing! Because it was rainy, I decided to continue on with the add-on cardio. It’s nice to see the contrast with how much slower that one is but it was still tiring after today’s workout. Looking forward to the next one!

    WOW. So my sundays usually start with a peaceful cup of coffee and then a lovely hiit session with all of you. Today I woke up to a small disaster at the house instead, I'll spare everyone the details but I definitely did not expect to get in a workout today. Then I found myself at the end of the day with about an hour of downtime and a body absolutely vibrating with stress. This. Format. Was. Pefection!!!! Stress demons battled, covered in sweat, feeling like a new person, and the add-on was perfect for easing back to baseline. Thank you so much Caroline, you are an angel and a genius.

    Most people think that HIIT is all about jumping, because that's what most trainers provide as well. I'm glad that Caroline is not into that stereotype HIIT workouts. Low impact doesn't mean low intensity. I love this HIIT workout Caroline! You always kill me with the bodyweight workouts 😂❤️ You are such an inspiration to me. By the way, the "keep-me-alive" music helped me kept going 😁

      @@matthewalmond8274 Morning Matthew, this was great to get the heart rate up, I burned the same as a 30min run but definitely feel the difference in the burn on the upper body maintaining 10s throughout.     I love FUEL series! 30 minutes long, dynamic, different and.. brutal :))).. I never comment straight away no way I could do it.. :))) I'm always like.. when 'Did you enjoy this workout?' pops out on the screen.. no, Caroline I can't be enjoying you torturing me :))) but I do definitely enjoy how I feel after that!     Yep, another workout from Caroline going straight to my Fckin Brutal Workouts playlist. I was only using 4kg dumbbells but got my butt thoroughly whooped. Fuel definitely is one of the most condensed and effective programs I’ve ever done. Spectacular job from CG 💪

    It was 10x tougher than Thursday's session🤩🥵🥵🥵 grabbing weights right after the hiit cardio exercise - so demanding, here you need instant breathing focusing controlling wow!     Such a wonderful way to start my day. Loved this full body and the combo of body weight and weighted movement. 20-sec recovery is perfect. Superset and circuit training has to be my all-time favourite way of training. Thank you Caroline!

    Oh goodness this one caught up with me! Queens birthday weekend here in Australia and it’s a public holiday Monday! After doing a huge walk yesterday then soo last night, my legs were already tired. Was grateful Caroline stopped and paused a few times like me! Used 10kg each for the work out. Happy Monday!!

    This was so hard. I had to take way more breaks. I also was moving at a much slower pace than Caroline and I had to stop and check my form for the ab work as I was so tired by time we got to the finisher that I felt like a blob just flailing around on the floor. I'm happy to see you vs. you and go at your own pace on the screen throughout because I felt like I wanted to quit at the halfway mark...but I didn't. I always tell myself "you do it because you can, and you do it for all the people who wish they were able to" and I know how lucky I am to be mobile and healthy...so no excuses! Git'er done!! Thank you soooo much Caroline...you continue to kick my ass in the best way possible!
