BEASTMODE FULL BODY WORKOUT - Intense Strength Training | Day 4

- Full body workout targeting the major muscle groups using compound lifts and sets of 4 throughout! Back, shoulders, chest and lower body using dumbbells and bodyweight for a demanding strength training workout that requires determination and focus!
For this full body workout, you will need a pair of dumbbells and your mat!
Optional is a yoga block/ thick book / stepper for heel elevated squats and foot elevated lunges!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 15kg each and 9kg each!
If you have a variety of dumbbells, you can keep those nearby to go heavier or lighter as you work through the workout!
The timer will be on for a majority of the workout for 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds rest!

does anyone else’s hands hurt sooo bad when doing renegade rows? The dumbbell really pushes into the palms of my hands and it hurts so bad ... I just pushed through it but I was wondering if anyone has a way to get around that?
Wear padded workout gloves :)
you can wrap your hands too with hand wraps, maybe🙏♥️
I use a yoga block in the middle of the dumbbells and alternate sides
Just do half time on one hand on flor then drag db to other hand or alternate one set just one side and the other set on the other side - switch
Same here, I just use one dumbbell, constantly switching sides. My dumbbells are round so I can't even manage to put my hand up without crashing my face into the floor😂

Hi Jeremiah...I do often go faster but my weights are often lighter than Caroline’s. I just don’t have access to such heavy weights. Today I was using 8 kg throughout so my tempo is faster. Just my way of getting an intense workout even if my weights are not so heavy! Matthew
Yes when I am on lighter weights, I am faster too, just about to hit this one with 10kgs and 10kgs, I will then reduce to 7.5kgs and 7.5kgs.

I was overwhelmed with some sort of bittersweet feeling and I started crying. It was such a genuine feeling. I used to hate lunges and think push up pulses are impossible. And I did them today and did them good. I am born and bred in an extremely patriarchal city. At a young age, I realized I had a passion for physical workout. I have no doubt that despite being so resilient I would have broke and given up if it weren't for so many writers who wrote amazing, detailed magical stories about impossible women, those movie makers, those social heroines, the impossible doers like Caroline.

PS...just finished...all good! I used 8 kg weights plus my 12 kg kettlebell as I don’t have heavier weights...but by pushing up the tempo I got a good intense workout! Legs OK after my long walk! I did the 4 mins of sit ups straight through with no breaks...just wanted to challenge my abs a bit more! I really enjoyed the add on...I love doing the repeated leg lowers! I bought a set of 30 pound dumbbells just for these workouts. If she can do it I can do it right? Been lifting for years. Bench, squats, all that stuff. Ok so I got a bit out of shape as I'm older. But wow she kicked my butt!!! Sore for days! I love her workouts!

Done 🤩. Enjoyed today's Intense Sesh! Repeating each exercise 4x's So Effective. Muscles are fatigued by the 3rd/4th set. Had to dig deep for strength 😆. Brilliant Finisher. Feels Amazing after. Also did the add-on Ab wo.

I did this today with 20kg dumbbells instead of 15kg, which was a mental and physical challenge for me! I started the shoulder press with 2 x 12.5kg and dropped to 2 x 10kg in the 3rd round... I didn't use heel elevation because of the heavier weight I was afraid of being not stable enough.
You have helped me to be strong enough to do Renegade Rows! I never thought a couple months ago that I could ever do those and now I can. With 20lb dumbbells!!!

I very much enjoyed this workout! All the moves were managable except for deadstop pushups.. I managed perfect reps the 1st time around, but couldn’t maintain off knees beyond that.. I alrernated a rep on knees and another off..
I was grateful there was no squat to presses😅

Happy Friday everyone! I have a flight early in the morning (it's Thursday night here) and am busy the rest of the day so I'll try to fit in this workout before the flight... if not I'll take tomorrow (Friday) as a rest day and do this on Saturday. Lots of great things about this workout except you skipped one VERY important element. There is only one back focused or posterior focused exercise in the whole 40 minute workout. It should be 50/50 anterior/posterior. If you are under the age of 20, no biggie however if you are over 20, you need to work the posterior chain MORE than the anterior chain to promote a healthy spine, reduced pain, injuries and great posture. Thanks for all your hard work and your wonderful workouts. Just critical of this particular one.
I'm doing Beastmode for the 2nd time and am definitely much stronger now. Am increasing weights in almost all of the different moves compared to last time. Loving this series. Thank you Caroline! 😃 ❤

This was powerful , the deadstop lunges were an awakening 🤣🔥Because of focused and compound moves I'm seeing quicker changes ,gaining more strength and definition ❤️❤️❤️ in the beast mode series

The shoulder and chest press we're the most difficult exercises for me. The rear step lunge challenged my coordination due to the fact that we held the dumbbell in the opposite hand that we normally do. It was 27 minutes of superior sets and was a cardio workout for me!!
Yep the opposite hand for the weight got me too!! Clever way of engaging core and concentration 👍🙂

After workout.... Fantastic full body👏! I used 13 and 8 kg for the shoulders.... I am dead😥, in fact I burned a lot of calories.... I added some hip trusts even though my hamstrings are still shocked 😥😥.... Renagade rows always a challenge for me!

I LOVED THIS! As someone who has lost 80 pounds in a year (due to pancreatitis and diabetic ketoacidosis-I had to do something) I am so grateful in you help in doing so! Whew! Loved today 🥰 usually when we do all the leg exercises first, I tend to think ‘when will this part end’ (which is good honestly, but my brain just likes to complain) but now because they were spread throughout it was way less frustrating/discouraging that way.
Thoughts:
- I managed to do all 4 sets of renegade rows! 🥳 when I started this journey in May I couldn’t even do 10 seconds of them
- somehow the shoulder press was the hardest? I was surprised by how that one had me struggling
- the elevated dead stop lunges were 🔥 the stretch 🥵 looooved it
- my push ups are still 💩 but I’m improving and that matters!

Really enjoying this series!! Decided to up my weights on rear delt fly's and then pulled my lower back on left side. So annoyed with myself!!☹️😥 Can't run or anything else at the moment. Have tried the stretch and unwind but wondered what other exercises I could do in meantime until it heals? 🙂
Hi Sarah...so sorry to hear this! Hope you are soon fully recovered. Maybe you can focus on lower body or ab routines until your shoulder heals. Maybe you could work muscles such as biceps but do be careful...please make sure you don’t do anything to aggravate the injury! Hope you are soon better. Matthew

Very frustrating but my own fault!!☹️ Did some gentle stretching but anything impactive is a no go. I'll try and focus on exercises that don't involve strain in the lower back. the dead in dead stop push ups is really deadly
How tough was that. I had to use 12kg for chest press and 8 for shoulders not strong enough yet. Used 15 for the rest of the workout. Loved it. Thanks Caroline. First long one after the Christmas advent series on the app

Really enjoying the repetition. These workouts are over so quickly and I know what’s coming up so I feel I can focus on my form better. Maybe that’s crazy.
