as a kid i use to watch the old Martin And Lewis films that my father had liked as a young man and i didn't really think about anything, now pushing 50 i realize how great Dean and so much of that generation were and how much we have lost. Dean just had a charisma and warmth that very few people exude, and on top of that he could sing and had great wit and humor. a classic golden era star, i see huge A list actors now but i cant really think of genuine stars. it of course is all not helped by todays ever invasive entertainment media in a constant frensy to expose every wart.
Well, they've exposed Jerry Lewis' warts, and those are considerable, and past due being exposed. Vanity Fair, and books. I only watch the Colgate comedy videos for Dean, can't stand Jerry Lewis. He was obnoxious and loud, not funny. Dean outclassed him by miles.
The great Dino was everything most celebrities lack today....
