I straight traded a 99 7.3 Ford F-350 for a 2006 LBZ with 300k miles, sure the Ford was reliable and had no issues, less miles, but man did I hit the jackpot in that trade, the LBZ has been a beast hauling, minimal issues just ur average things breaking due to lack of maintenance , I love the truck!

The GMC Sierra 2500 was my calling! Looks better, sounds better, and runs better than all of its other competitors! Got my 18inch XD Grenade Wheels from you guys on 33s for my LBZ! One of the nicest upgrades to compliment my Fender Flares and the body of my truck! More upgrades (mainly performance) to be done but I love it!
I bought my lbz in late 2005(2006) model. All I did was put a Banks air cleaner, dual exhaust, and six gun tuner. It’s still rockin today in 2021. Best truck I’ve ever owned. Still have the original factory brake pads, they’re at50% wear. Had to replace front wheel bearings from running to hard in desert sand and a module switch in the 4 wheel drive. But that’s the only 2 things to ever be in the shop. What an awesome truck.
2007 LBZ here. Great truck. But I always keep my eyes out for a Dodge 12 valve. Their simplicity is valuable. If I found a Dodge, I would still never sell my LBZ. Stay gold.

I absolutely love all the Cat Eyes. They are just so amazing. A cat eye avalanche was my first truck ever and i will never sell it. I will just get a 2007 Classic Silverado 2500HD when times comes.

Well, I must like the lbz. I have a 2007 Duran max HD crew cab with the classic body style and standard bed. I have used it to pull 2 different fifth wheels and all I have ever had to do is change the oil and filter, air filter and have the transmission serviced ever 30,000k. Granted it only has 105,000k on it. Awesome truck!!!
I love my lbz 2006 I bought it usrd in 2013 with 202k on it .Michigan salt made me put new rockers cab corners an box . Then raptor lined the whole truck in pewter metallic. 6 inch rough country and ranch hand brush guard and rear bumper it a fkn beast now with 513k on it . Just here to brag
My LBZ is a '07 and still runs and drives like new with 275k on it. I attribute it's fantastic driving characteristics to having never ruined it with the oversized wheels and tires that stick out of the fenders looking stupid. It's the absolute WORST mod you could do to a truck. It's just plain stupid.
Same opinion. I also have an 07 with leveling kit and chrome H2 wheels and some maxxis mud terrains. Drives like new and 290k on mine. I had to replace a glow plug on cylinder 6 once. 🤦♂️😂😂
@@JOSE20805 The stabilizer links have worn out the rubber bushings and I had to replace the brake pads this past year. 313k and climbing, not a bit of rust anywhere yet. Oh yeah, passenger side vent visor got broken by a bird right next to the mirror.

I’ve had my 07 classic for a couple of few years now. And seeing prices today I’m glad I got it when i did!! I also have a 2017 F350 king ranch and while the king ranch is more comfortable in every way. My LBZ is still my favorite.
Own an 06 LBZ. Love it! Now, making big power, above what I have, which is only around 440hp, you have to upgrade the trans. That’s where shit gets real and pockets need to get deep! Still fun and sounds cool!

There’s a dealer in Eureka, Missouri called Gateway Car Connection that specializes in old, near mint condition trucks. I bought a bone stock 07’ 2500 classic with 50k miles last summer from them and I couldn’t be happier. I had to pay $45k for it but you could argue it was an upgrade from my 18’ dually Ram.
Super late, but I can relate seeing them for the first time….. I had a neighbor who had one he named it “ Big Red . I would always hear him start it up in the morning while I was waiting on the school bus and ever since I’ve fell in love and on the search to purchase my own. 😂
I bought GMC LBZ in 07 new. Drove it to 230K bought a second from southern states (sadly block heater started it on fire) bought a third from southern states. currently this is our daily driver. has 170K (can you tell I love them) I'm considering selling my 06 LBZ while its still nice. I am sooooooo close to getting my hands on my first duramax/lbz. Put down 1k a few months ago and signed a sales agreement for it to be paid in full by may of 2025. Im waiting for my bank to approve the loan or selling my lifted tundra. When I was a kid about 10 years old I saw a classic chevy at my house. It was a gorgeous truck. Blue or black and was so new and shiny. I shook my head and said “i’ll never be able to afford one” fast forward to now and Im my own boss. I own a small landscaping company and can finally afford it. Never say never.

Picked up a GMC 2500 lbz 07 ex cab long bed deleted no lift single owner for 18000... With less than 100000 miles... It's still an old grandpa truck krypto front lift with rear blocks, Mickey Thompson 18 inch wrapped in 33 inch Cooper hybrids... Got all the pipes forgot what ferret turbo 3 inch down off the turbo to 5 out with 6 inch tip... Sounds badass. 3 switch Willis tunes... I wanna buy an old 12v to add to the collection of nostalgic stuff... I just can't get into fords diesels
Had 2 LB7's and currently own an LBZ and I would have a hard time buying another lb7 or any other diesel for that matter. I'd buy another lbz without hesitation.
There's one part you're wrong on the transmission is the same with very few very minor differences its all in the valve body you can convert an 01-05 with a 6 speed valve body and tcm
Lbz is good minus the possible Cracked Pistons Water Pump Failure Glow Plug Failure Transmission Line Leaks EGR Valve Failure. Other than that it’s okay.
04.5 is when they changed to the LLY and that is when the injectors weren't in the valve cover like the lb7 of 01-04 😜 , not in 06 lol. 06-07 are the unicorns.

Meanwhile my LBZ is 100% stock. The trucks that are lifted and have wide tires look cool but I tow all the time, I go wood cutting with it and some trails those tires wouldn’t make it lol. My LBZ gets used like a real truck but to each their own. Some of your guys set ups look dope though.
