Well, 1.20.5 has broken this farm, because swimming to the top of anything but a water source block allows the entity to breathe. The solution is to replace the block above the killing chamber with a water logged mangrove root. This forces the non water source block right under to connect with above, filling and removing any pixel of air, but without messing the horizontal current. edit: You don't have to specifically use mangrove root, it also works with leaves or bottom slabs

You take suggestions from the community, and never undermine anyones intelligence. you really are amazing. Thank you so much for these videos, thank you so much for these farms, thank you so much for your work and your contributions. you are appreciated beyond words.

it's amazing to see how far your channel has come since I discovered it back during 1.17. Been a while since I played (before 1.18 came out). But, your raid farm absolutely took over when I built it on the smp I played on at the time and before long I had built a few of them for various players. So great to see you still at it with the simplicity. Can't wait to build this on my new personal smp :D

I've build Gnembon's copper farm and loved using it for a long time, and I'm shocked when I saw your farm. This simple and small footprint and the rate is very mind blowing. Excellent work again.
i just found your channel through some random youtube recommendations, and, to be honest, this might be the best minecraft tutorial channel I have ever seen. It's innovative, easy to build and works everytime. Thank you!
Brilliant ! The reinforcement copper farm was one of my favourites of gnmebon's fun farms. This takes it to another level, and I really appreciate the amount of effort that went into optimising the details and making it as convenient as possible :D
youre the only person on my youtube who I get excited about when I see a new upload. amazing job, recolutionary for copper farming. all other farms Ive seen have looked like such a chore, this is simpler than most modern farms. hardesr part is getting a xombie to the end. wow, man.
I really appreciate how much less daunting your farms are to build than any of the others I've seen. These builds and their explanations are excellent!
AMAZING farm. Im on a 1.20.1 server running fabric. Took a little longer to get a constant flow of zombies than expected maybe about 20 min. Mobcap fluctuates between 1100 and 500 and tps between 16 and 20, not bad at all. Been going for almost 48 hrs now with the occasional break to block up copper, cull and have a snack haha. Again, AMAZING farm. Thankyou so so much ianxofour! You are a legend! ❤❤❤❤
yet another example of taking an unattainable farm for the average player and turning it into a simple to build, easy to operate, and surprisingly efficient farm. I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you and your community have put into designing and optimizing these creations. Edit: I also did the minecart hopper collection setup that was shown later and it worked very well. The one issue that I had with the solution shown was that the hopper minecarts seemed to be getting deleted by the lava filled cauldron once the farm filled up and the lag kicked in. It ended up working out. but I did have to swap out the unloader for one that uses the amethyst crystal for alignment. I'm not knowledgeable or savvy enough to know why that solution is more stable but it seems to be. I kinda smushed the one from Ilmango's video on unloaders with the one that was shown as an example here and it has seemed to work out fine.
Built this yesterday in my world with the collection and sorter system. It’s amazing how simple this farm is, and how it gets the best rates out of any copper farm. Amazing job :)
Did you have any trouble getting enough reinforcements to "stock up" the farm from just one or a couple zombies? Each zombie I get keeps failing to call enough reinforcements before it dies. Currently have the whole farm built up (large platform in the end), but I just can't get enough zombies to stock up the farm for some reason. I've even tried using snowballs to attack them without damaging them, but that doesn't seem to call many reinforcements either.
@@skataguy5050 it took me around 3 tries to get a steady flow. I had to hit around 5 zombies before going into the farm to get it started. Just try messing around with various things I guess

Ian I was thinking that you could make a video about how you develop these legendary yet insanely simple farms, I know many people are interested on the development proccess of these farms.
Thank you Ian! Your farms are becoming so “elegant” that you have to include in the tutorial how to slow them down! Thank you for making the MC farming community a better place, every time you upload it makes everyone’s lives easier.
For people on realms with slower systems, I had to set my auto clicker to 2.5 seconds and it worked as designed. At 2.250 seconds, the zombies died without reinforcements. Ianxofour mentioned this to me for the stacking raid farm and it was the fix as well, delay the time out an extra 250 msecs for realms lag. Thanks again!
No don't use looting 3, the reason you have the culling sword is because you want to get rid of the armor and if you kill them with looting they will drop all the armor again
The amount of love I have for this man is crazy. He makes so efficient but simple farms. I bet you could make every single farm on his minecraft elegance playlist in under 12 hrs on a random seed new world. This man is crazy and brilliant. I cant wait for him to make another tutorial. Ianxofour never ceases to amaze! I built your stacking raid farm, your obsidian farm and now this on a server, and these are by far the most efficient farms on the server. Also, good to see that you give credit to your sources, unlike many other Minecraft youtubers. Keep up the work :)
finally a copper farm actually worth building and doesn't give me trash rates that are obtainable within 5 minutes worth of mining, this is insane for the simplicity of the farm
Honestly, yes this farm is amazing but I'm even more grateful to Ian for giving credit to those before him in his farm designs. I wish more people did this.
It works perfectly fine on 1.17! Some Notes: -I tested it on SinglePlayer, running fabric -I ran the farm for 1 hour or so using Looting, Mending, Unbreaking, Smite and Diamond Sword -The rates are about 9 stacks with Looting 2 -I have a beacon with regeneration -I have sodium and lithium installed -I used tweakeroo's feature which disables the entity rendering(Since I have this set to true, should I "cull" the farm?) -I didn't change anything regarding the building site. Edit: If you are planning on building something near the area or just being present, I recommend putting 2-3 boats near the building to capture 4-6 zombies. Then kill the zombies in the chamber. In this way, your game won't lag and you will be able to restock the farm or in case of an emergency.
you dont want to use smite for this farm. any additional damage you deal will cause to to kill some zombies before they drown and it will cause you to hit each zombie less which results in less reinforcments.
You guys have done it again! I'm always super impressed with your farms. I love how well everything is explained and how everything is designed so that anyone can do it without stressing over it.
Thank you so much for this, me and my friend built this yesterday and already got a stack of copper blocks out of it! Also the server was struggling, ran on 3tps at some point, but it's a pretty weak server anyway. We were planning to design our base in a steampunk style and need copper for it, but this farm now provides us with just that!
Ok this was amazing. I think I want to try something else with this farm. Do keep in mind that: 1. Some server severely limits mob cap so rates won't be same as this. 2. Random server with no claim ability will get yourself killed so you might want to consider alternative solutions. The server currently playing has no End Island claim ability so adjustments are needed. 3. It's always faster to dig since 1.18 and above has veins. But not the most convenient. Great tutorial indeed so definitely something I'd use as well.
i see your videos once and again because you simplify the farms and explain in detail and easy to understand information how everything related to this farms works and why. great videos. i see your videos one and two times in a week just to remember and learn more
If you want to contain the reinforcement zombies you can build 2 dark tunnels where they can spawn and block all other spawning spaces. The tunnels have to be 2 blocks wide though as theres a bug that reinforcement zombies spawn on the corner of a block (precisely on the north west corner of the intended spawning space). Also on one side you should place the ladders to the other side of the block, instead of on the glass, otherwise zombies can get stuck on them.
ianxofour is out here making farms that every single player will want to build in their survival world, but most importantly, ones that players CAN build. You're so incredibly creative in coming up with these farms!
Thank you for the brilliant vid! The first time this farm concept was introduced I thought it's a bit intimidating for an average player to build one, but your and Turtle0628's work made it a lot less scary! Thank you so much
Gotta be honest, I was skeptical when I saw how jumbled and messy it looked at first. But then you started explaining it, and I realized how jam-packed this design is. Everything is needed, everything has a crazy efficient and streamline necessity to be in the farm, and even allows adjustments for anything from healing, to storage, to resetting the farm, to loading it for the next session, even automatically supplying the Zombies with items so they don't Despawn. This is insane.
Do I regret building a complicated copper farm last week that took me hours to build and is still less efficient than this simple one? Maybe... But thanks Ian, I love how unique and clever your farms are!!
Another jewel to add to the catalog. If I may add something: you can start-up this farm by hitting zombified villagers as well. This way, you can build a very simple villager breeder-zombificator in the vicinity of the farm so anytime you want to use it you just need to release 3-4 zombie villagers and you're done
my experience with loading the farm went a bit like this- first, I realised the side of the stronghold my portal was in the deep dark. then, i dug stright down from above the portal room for caves... and i hit lava TWICE. luckily i had slow falling and fire res. then i found a cave right above the room, not in the deep dark, with lots of zombies, so i got them to go into the stronghold... but a warden spawned and i had to elytra away, the zombies probably dead. then, i found a zombie spawner, basically directly above the portal room so im sorted now lol
Thank you, Ian! Can you also make a video on the hopper minecart system you used in this video? I did find some videos in the UA-cam and still have no idea how to fit that in such a small area...
The simplicity displayed in this design is nothing short of genius. I'd also like to appreciate the humbleness showed at the end, and the tribute to Techno. Such a nice man.
If you're having trouble with zombies getting stuck on the ladders while entering the farm, try using vines instead. Swapping them out seemed to work a lot better for me in my 1.20.4 realm. Cheers!
This farm just beats all other copper farms, and this one is the easiest to build. So impressive how such a simple farm can overpower other bigger farms. Amazing. Now, I can easily get tons of copper so easily. Edit: I build and tested this farm. It does take a few minutes to get started up, but once it is up and running, the rates are insane. Faster than most copper farms out there.
Yet again. You amaze the community about the ridiculous simplicity of complex farms. I am beyond amazed at your ability to come up with so many clever solutions to common issues that arise when building farms like these.
Well, 1.20.5 has broken this farm, because swimming to the top of anything but a water source block allows the entity to breathe. The solution is to replace the block above the killing chamber with a water logged mangrove root. Tested and worked! Thnak you for this simple solution. Now I only have to find mangrove in my survival world.

-I didn't change anything regarding the building site.
@@brody9752 According to Ian, it does not. You can check the description.
You guys have done it again! I'm always super impressed with your farms. I love how well everything is explained and how everything is designed so that anyone can do it without stressing over it.
My friend would love this, he’s a freak for the oxidized copper blocks. 😆
Better yet, he can use the end island to oxidize the blocks while he is AFK at the farm, as long as they don't block the zombies' pathfinding!
Hmmm maybe I now know what to build next
It's that one guy
@@Justanuggy I am indeed
i always get excited whenever ianxofour makes a new video, all keeps me thrilled!
Ok this was amazing. I think I want to try something else with this farm.
Do keep in mind that:
This farm doesn’t relay on mobcap
@@enkvadrat_ doesn't some servers remove entities if there are to many of one type in one chunk?
@@Andre-gn4sj I don’t know maybe papper/spigot servers do
This Elegance series is incredible, I have watched sooo many tutorials and videos in the past, this is amazing stuff, very well explained too
you never fail to impress me ian
i see your videos once and again because you simplify the farms and explain in detail and easy to understand information how everything related to this farms works and why. great videos. i see your videos one and two times in a week just to remember and learn more
This is absolutely mind blowing
Absolutely loved this, thank you. The world download was very generous, too. It was bonus fun to summon a warden and let the drowned zombies out!
You weren't kidding when you said next gen, huh? Fantastic video as always!
ianxofour is out here making farms that every single player will want to build in their survival world, but most importantly, ones that players CAN build. You're so incredibly creative in coming up with these farms!
Thank you for the brilliant vid! The first time this farm concept was introduced I thought it's a bit intimidating for an average player to build one, but your and Turtle0628's work made it a lot less scary! Thank you so much
all his videos are amazing he never misses
Ian, every time you make a video I don’t think I can be any more blown away. Now I really thing It can't get better than this.
babe wake up ianxofour posted
always clean, always simple, straight to the point yet super detailed. S+ content as always
Man i didn't think that the copper farm will be this easy
What a legend! I get goosebumps everytime i watch your farm tutorials. Simple, effective, easy to understand and recreate.
Another jewel to add to the catalog.
If I may add something: you can start-up this farm by hitting zombified villagers as well. This way, you can build a very simple villager breeder-zombificator in the vicinity of the farm so anytime you want to use it you just need to release 3-4 zombie villagers and you're done
the farm only needs to be stocked once with zombies, and it will remain forever stocked every time you want to use it
Ian, your creations are amazing. Thank you not only for the design, but also for the explanation of the mechanics!
my experience with loading the farm went a bit like this- first, I realised the side of the stronghold my portal was in the deep dark. then, i dug stright down from above the portal room for caves... and i hit lava TWICE. luckily i had slow falling and fire res. then i found a cave right above the room, not in the deep dark, with lots of zombies, so i got them to go into the stronghold... but a warden spawned and i had to elytra away, the zombies probably dead. then, i found a zombie spawner, basically directly above the portal room so im sorted now lol
You are a true genius and you definitely deserve more subscribers!
Did you get a Master's Degree in Minecraft from somewhere?
Epic. Just epic. Lobe your work Ian!
Cheers!
your video quality is so humble, yet the content is so useful and comprehensive. you deserve a million subs.
This is brilliant and will make a great addition to my Metal Empire! XD
Great job yet again, keep it up, I look forward to see what you do next!
1.21, I seem to still be damaged by thorns armour
Yet again. You amaze the community about the ridiculous simplicity of complex farms. I am beyond amazed at your ability to come up with so many clever solutions to common issues that arise when building farms like these.
