The thing I love about afk fishing farms is, you can set em up in basically all afk spots. For example, if you afk in your hostile mob farm you normally just sit in a box above it waiting. With just a bit more effort, you can also be getting some enchanted books, nautilus shells and the likes for basically no extra work. The farm itself isnt good, but the convenience is just nice
You can’t get anything but trash and fish in afk fish farms now. If you want treasure you need at least a 5x5x5 area of pure water to fish in which is way too big to make an afk station.

Potato v carrot v bread v wheat was so strange. Also, rabbit farms are very nice if you play with bundles. Also just to say that you made a jumping potion. (Useful for making bases that are hard for other players to access.)
Yeah many of the rankings were super questionable but the crops most of all. Potatoes in OP tier but carrots THREE spots below it in alright tier? When carrots are the objectively better crop to farm in every way? I don’t think either should be as high as “OP”, but having such a big discrepancy between them makes zero sense to me. You can sell carrots to villagers for a better price than you can sell them potatoes, you won’t get poisonous variants of carrots, and even though the best way to get golden carrots is through buying them from villagers, if you don’t have access to that yet, then crafting golden carrots is a far and away better food source than the completely mid baked potatoes. Many of the rankings in this video make me question if he’s just picking some ranks as a joke, or if he just had no experience with a lot of these farms, had no clue where they should go, and just decided to throw out a random guess instead of admitting he wasn’t sure about it.
I agree with kelp farms. If i spawn next to an ocean i will go use it for beginners food and fuel source because you need all the coal and charcoal you find for torches, and i personally get a stack of any kind of food then go into the mines for a bit same system every time i start minecraft. kelp is one of those things where you can start smoking it with a few fuel sources and it'll run itself very soon. You can consistently use it to smelt your goods from the mines or bring it with you as a low quality yet really dense food source. I always cook my food with the campfire or cook the animals with flint and steel before i kill them so i get free fuel from the kelp blocks. You can eat kelp faster than any other Minecraft food. One kelp block smelts 20 items.
bamboo farm is useful. you can have multiple fletchers and they will trade sticks, and two bamboos can be craftedd into a stick. you can get loads of emeralds from this
Id also add skulk farms or warden farms on that list. You can make tons of skulk which grant xp and just placing it near another mob farm with maybe a cobblestone generator farm underneath it. With warden farms skulk catalysts which can creat more farms. Stray farms are just skeleton farms with powder snow to transform them into strays. The loot table is much better. They usually have a better chance to spawn with armor and slowness tipped arrows drop which help a lot more than normal arrows. Plus bones and bows which also have a better chance at being enchanted. Early game they're a god sent to have a good stack of arrows some bones bows and armor pieces. Again like skeleton farms just add some powdered snow and cobwebs and they become strays. Simple extra step(s) that yield much better results than a normal skeleton farm. Also those eye sore big random mob farms are p much necessary on some survival / challenge worlds / maps ones like skyblock or single biome worlds.
Muchrooms are useful for crafting fermented spider eyes and also their property for emitting a block light level of 1 makes them useful for slime farming. And how are potato farms in the OP tier? They're only good in the early game as a food source, but once you build a hoglin farm, potatoes are only really useful for breeding villagers or for getting the poison effect from the poisonous potato. At least with something like wheat farms you can craft things like hay bales and target blocks, which are useful and carrots can be turned into golden carrots.
Not a bad ranking Other than the low ranking of tree farms, wood is in EVERYTHING. Its easily a top tier farm, It could be argued to be more important than basically any other. Given that farms gather resources for building / making more farms there's only maybe Iron and XP that matter more.
there is separate farm dedicated specifically to wood collection that yields better than tree farms. tree farms farm any wood type and saplings making them more complex where as wood farms typically farm large spruce wood for maximum output and due to it only needing to fix one model of tree is easier to build for.
In my current realm, I decided not to zombify my villager trades.. So 1. It’s actually costly if I lose my gear and have to re enchant everything.. 2. 8:12 squid ink is one of if not the easiest and most efficient way to get emeralds. Librarians trade 5 ink for 1 emerald, and the squid ink farm can get you a double chest or two of ink in maybe an hour of afk, the trade also gives a lot of EXP.
drowned mobs that are a result of zombie conversion won't ever have tridents. Only a naturally spawned drowned can have a trident with them. That wool farm design in the video however gave me an idea about how I could possibly improve one I made a long time ago. That collection system looks much much smaller.
The only reasoning I have for farming beetroots is red dye for banners and it wouldn't take up that much space for the red dye you would need, or you could use a flower farm
Putting HOTV farm in good tier is crazy. Its OP since it also doubles as a raid farm. You can get unlimited food, redstone, sugar, totems, all types of tipped arrows, all type of wool, gunpowder, crossbows, and idk everything you get from HOTV farm.

mans forgot one of the most op farms for early development, the hoglin farm. Just requires like half a double chest of stone to build at most and makes a double chest of cooked porkchop in like an hour plus a ton of leather for books later down the line. Super easy to build too
AFK fish farms are op. Can make it super early in your play through, afk over night, be super high level, and have like 20 mending books. They got nerfed hard but there is a working version rn using calibrated skulksensors
The Drowned farm is way better now that you can get Copper from it, and they're adding all those new Copper blocks in the Trial Chambers too. Tho until I play survival with it, I won't be sure whether it's easier to build a drowned farm for Copper, or destroy a couple of those trial chambers for it
This might be on bedrock but kelp is still really useful, there’s still 0 tick on them, they can be used as a fuel source, and they can also help turned to and automatic bonemeal farm, wich you could use to make an automatic sugarcane farm and other stuff
I don’t really see the major benefit of that. Wood is already ridiculously easy to get and I don’t know how it could be used more than all types of wood can.
@@VoidHxnterwhat makes it good is it’s just a tree farm but way less complex and is easy to understand for normal players, and if you know how to do auto harvesting with redstone machines then it’s just infinite wood without needing tnt dupers and stuff
Me when brown mooshrooms get put in alright tier when you can get saturation suspicious stew from feeding them a dandelion. If bowl foods stacked in any way, it would be the best food farm when paired with a flower farm.
Ok but since 1.21, i would very much suggest that you do _not_ make a silverfish farm if your pc is middling to lower end. Actually insane how much lag the sheer amount of xp can cause
Bat and bonemeal are massively underrated. All food farms are made irrelevant by hoglin farms. Also literally showing the purpose of mushrooms while saying they’re useless is funny. I can’t tell how much of this is satire honestly
One correction though, most if not all of Shulkercraft's farms are "stolen" from other youtubers. He aggregates them. Some of the ratings border on subjectivity rather than objectivity, with some useful farms getting lower or upper tiered because of farm prejudice (ie "the rating is that way just because i ducking hate/love the thing for no reason at all") I think this would be better if it was taken a little more seriously and had about three factors: easy to build-ity, yield, and usability. But hey why not. Beetroot farms could be useful with hypercured farmer villagers and nothing else. Cat string farm could be useful when you need a lot of scaffolding + bamboo farm Though yield will probably be lower and you can just use a broken iron farm in bedrock. Afk fishing with mending+luck+lure+unbreaking can be pretty op but you have to afk hours for it to get anything useful. Wandering llama farms are inefficient since they spawn in periodically. Rabbit farms (gasp) are good for potions and trading with leatherworkers. Afk chicken farm is the best since you don't need to breed them to yield anything good.
2:22 cactuses give a lot of xp when smelted making them a great early game xp source after they are smelted into green dye you can sell them to shepard villigers so techically cactuses are also emerald farms
One cat on a lead can be OP if you walk around at night, they repel creepers, after all. Mix this with a swarm of dogs and a "cracked infinity bow"/crossbow with harming2 arrows + piercing(you can reuse arrows like this); you are practically a god, just don't heal your doggos, breed them so you have more and more all the time and you don't have to worry so much about them dying or wasting so much of the flesh you'll get from zombies just to heal one dog at a time. Just add more dogs.

Tho until I play survival with it, I won't be sure whether it's easier to build a drowned farm for Copper, or destroy a couple of those trial chambers for it
for the drowned farm, it also drops copper. and it's the only renewable source, so i don't know why someone would be a psychopath for farming copper
Tree teir list video is so good too lol, thanks man
thanks for reminding me with the water break to stay hydrated 👍
This might be on bedrock but kelp is still really useful, there’s still 0 tick on them, they can be used as a fuel source, and they can also help turned to and automatic bonemeal farm, wich you could use to make an automatic sugarcane farm and other stuff
“Get up from your crusty chair “😂😂😂
I think you forgot about honeycombs being needed for candles. And candles are lit ;)
bro COMPLETELY forgot you can make wood out of bamboo 😭
11:28 the silverfish farm aged very well
Ok but since 1.21, i would very much suggest that you do _not_ make a silverfish farm if your pc is middling to lower end. Actually insane how much lag the sheer amount of xp can cause
13:10 that's absoloutley insane
I like that u tell us to do real life activities and I subscribed u
Bat and bonemeal are massively underrated. All food farms are made irrelevant by hoglin farms. Also literally showing the purpose of mushrooms while saying they’re useless is funny. I can’t tell how much of this is satire honestly
real
2:03 "tactical borrowing"
i love borrowing
One correction though, most if not all of Shulkercraft's farms are "stolen" from other youtubers. He aggregates them.
Some of the ratings border on subjectivity rather than objectivity, with some useful farms getting lower or upper tiered because of farm prejudice (ie "the rating is that way just because i ducking hate/love the thing for no reason at all")
I think this would be better if it was taken a little more seriously and had about three factors: easy to build-ity, yield, and usability.
Worth noting that kelp farms are a great source of xp, and especially a great way to utilize mending on Bedrock edition
2:22 cactuses give a lot of xp when smelted making them a great early game xp source after they are smelted into green dye you can sell them to shepard villigers so techically cactuses are also emerald farms
Kelp farm is op for beginners in the bedrock edition as we can get kelp block bome meal and xp in just seconds
Carrots should be S tier, after all golden CARROTS are the best food in the game in terms of saturation.
Pumpkin pie fills 4 hunger bars and golden carrots fill 3
@@KingFroggo_365 i said saturation. Golden Carrots hold your hunger points the longest.
Better than beef?@@Hyp333R
REALLY EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!
Am I the only person who actually paused the video to go outside to my front yard and touch grass??
good job, i'm proud of you
1:32 blaze farms are op tier. Blaze rods can be used as a fuel source and is more efficient than coal.
Cactus farms were useful back in the Crazycraft Orespawn days for making Miner's Dream.
hey beetroot can be made into red dye! if somehow youre not satisfied with the obscene amounts of poppies even a basic iron farm gives
